Without question, the best Indian food in Halifax. I've never come away disappointed with the food or service - the eggplant on Friday is a particular highlight. Likely the best value for lunch in downtown Halifax.
Never change Taste of India - you're the best.
The best. Countless lunches over many years. Always great. Always top service. Always happy to visit.
The sweet smelling aroma of Indian spices never cease to raise from Taste of India, a restaurant you never want to miss in Halifax, NS Canada. Come and taste the fresh authentic Indian food.
Came in today specifically to try Taste of India because I had heard so many good things about it. I was not disappointed! I was looking for something spicy and I got the special, butter chicken. Everything was delicious and I've already decided I'm sending my fiancé back later tonight to pick up supper
I love this place. I love the rice. Love the Mango Lasse. I love the chicken. We love it all! So thrilled you are opening! !!!!
Super yummy Indian food - my favourite in Halifax!
When we visit PEI this is our always go to place; pretty fantastic ambiance, ALWAYS amazing food, and LOVELY staff; we were very large group and this time fantastic Supershna served us, she was totally amazing in giving us the best service. Lovely.
A hidden gem 💎 in Halifax!! Authentic South-Indian taste. Very spicy 🌶️ and affordable. They mix all curries together which I don't like. 👎🏽 I wish they had more options on DoorDash like selecting veg curries while ordering Chicken Combo. ⭐⭐⭐⭐
If you're looking for fast Indian food and inexpensive vegetarian options, check out Taste of India!
The service and food here was good. We got the vegetarian dish.
Delicious and flavourful Indian cuisine! I go practically once a week, always consistent, always spicy 🔥
Just had this for the first time in years. Still 5+ ⭐️. So delicious, light fluffy rice, not too spicy butter chicken. And veg side was excellent too! Go check them out in scotia Square! ⭐️The staff are so friendly, ⭐️portions are great, just as much main dish as rice( lemon rice was yummy too)!⭐️
It’s been years since I’ve been here, so take this with a grain of salt. I don’t know if I’ve ever had such a good meal for such a cheap price anywhere. I used to get the vegetarian combo (or something similarly named to that) and it was absolutely a steal - less than $3! I remember it could get incredibly busy at lunchtime, so go early or late so you aren’t rushed and have a place to sit. Indian fast food restaurants aren’t exactly thick on the ground here, so enjoy what may not be the most authentic, but still is a pretty good meal.
Place is in the food court of Scotia square. 3 veggies and rice for $6.30 and the food is pretty tasty
Love this restaurant! Great food, great service!
Just tried them out at Scotia Square for the first time today. For a small food court joint this is outstanding food at outstanding value! I got a huge portion of butter chicken with rice and veg for less than $8 before tax, with a crispy papadum included. So happy to finally get to know this place! I will be back...
Taste of India is a little family owned takeout place in the food court of Scotia Square. Inexpensive food with consistent taste and service.
Love the chicken bariyani the most. It's so tasty but hot and spicy. I've been eating here for many years. Love the owners and the staff. Authentic Indian food.
