Kind of a "blink and you'll miss it" hole in the wall place...but you'd be well advised to pay attention because it's really good!
There is only seating for 4 people simultaneously so at times takeout may be your best option.
Being vegan, my options on the menu were a bit limited, but I ended up ordering the Japanese Vegetable curry with tofu. It was so tasty, I almost ate the bowl! Also loved how the tofu was gently coated and fried. Will definitely be back many times!
The owners/managers were also very friendly and gave me some of my own cooking tips! It's nice how you can see how they prepare everything.

The sushi is flavorful so that is a plus and rice is cooked well. For just the sushi and its flavor, they do a good job. The issue I have with this restaurant is they turn dine in customers away if they have too many take out orders. They only have 2 seats to sit in to eat and if those are free, you should never turn people away. Also, the staff can be quite dismissive and a bit rude at times.

Small is mighty when it comes to the mythical Kitsune! Delicious fresh quality and ingredients and wonderful customer service. I recommend it to anyone who loves sushi and a unique dining experience.

High quality Japanese fare matched by some of the friendliest service in town. Very glad to have found this hidden gem and it is no wonder that they were favourably appraised by this year’s Curated magazine rankings. Some may find it too limited in seating, but the intimacy of the restaurant is part of the charm! A lot of their business seems to be take-out anyway.

Hands down the best sushi experience in Halifax. Atmosphere was very intimate and unique. The staff were beyond friendly and it shows they love what they do. The sushi was was fresh and probably the best I have ever had!

Small, busy and quality.
This spot is staffed by just two and seats only four. They get lots of calls for takeout and can get quite busy fast; so make sure to come early otherwise you'll have to wait.
If you do, it'll be worth it. The rice is fresh, the cuts are succulent and generous and the service is friendly. Would recommend.

Ordered takeout and it took about 30min to be ready. I was very pleased with my order of a dynamite roll and the karage appetizer! If you plan to eat in the restaurant, keep in mind that there's only 4 seats available so make sure you go early!

We have eaten in and gotten take away from this lovely restaurant several times and we are always happy with the food. Not only is the sushi delicious but their presentation is amazing. I have eaten a lot of sushi since childhood so I know great sushi, and this is great sushi. Their gyozas are also wonderful. They are a lovely young couple who have a warm approach with customers and I cannot wait to return!

Best sushi in HRM. Hands down. Fresh, beautifully presented and almost melts in your mouth. The spicy tuna and dynamite roll are worth the trip not to mention the awesome owners.
