The best fish and chips I've had in Halifax so far. I'm from a rural area of NS with lots of small fishing villages, and this place really reminded me of home. Fish tasted very fresh, and I left feeling very full and satisfied.

Best fish and chips I've tasted on a Nova Scotia trip and the portion was huge. Also, recommend their chocolate pie. It's delicious! However, their mussels and butter were extremely salty- should avoid.

Best ‘authentic’ Fish and Chips in the town. Considering the prices(Highly recommend getting the deal of 2 or 3 pieces) they’re massive with a very generous amount of chips/fries. Special mention to their Chicken burger which is also great. Oh and the pies. A throwback small joint that deserves all the praise. Only thing I would say is wish they had more vegetarian options like maybe a Veggie Burger too.

Had a very enjoyable fish and chip at Fries & Co. last week. It was very good with a healthy portion. One of the better meals of fish and chips I’ve had in Halifax.

Fries are a bit over fried and underseasoned. But extremely good portion size. Value for bucks.

The fish and chips were delicious, as were the clams. This was my first time here, and I assure you it won't be my last!!! The fish pieces were huge and the batter is crispy and perfect. The only thing that beat the food was the service. I already feel the need to go back!!! Hope this helps

I got the lobster roll, and unfortunately it just wasn’t worth the cost. It was minimal lobster meat with a ton of coleslaw and bun. Totally understanding that the cost of lobster is wild these days - it just wasn’t worth the price for the quality. The packaging was also a little rough for takeout - there wasn’t any napkins provided and the roll was put in sideways on its end. So all of the ingredients were dropped down to the bottom of the container. However, their fish and chips looked delicious! And the place was poppin!

Having moved from England, couldn’t believe the taste of these fish and chips. They top everything. I have not had a better meal than this, in a long long while. We all enjoyed it a lot and keep talking about it.

This is the oldest Fish and Chips joint in Halifax and has a very British style charm to it. In fact, the owner has a British accent! It is a simple setup and has a homely feel; Mom and pop style. The fish pieces are HUGE and DELICIOUS. Very impressed. And the prices are excellent. I also liked the curry sauce that comes with it. Very similar to how it’s served in England. The Lobster Chowder was OK.

Had a delightful experience at Fries and Co for my brother's birthday! Their chowder was absolutely excellent - rich, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. My mom tried their fish and chips, and it didn't disappoint either; crispy, tender, and truly delicious. The ambiance and service complemented the food wonderfully. We'll definitely be returning for more memorable meals!

A local Famous Ma and PA run restaurant, making all your typical greasy spoon favourites BIGGIE SIZED! If you're looking for a meal that is above and beyond normal portion size, And great bang for the buck! Then you have to try fries and Company! The fish and chips, their hamburger platters, and Seafood Combo's are all great items to check out, ! PLEASE be careful if you order a 3-piece fish and chips, or at least bring friends to help you eat it! Check out my pics, I am not kidding! Hope you have time to swing by and enjoy this great local restaurant and support them, as we all know , it's more important now than ever!

Great fish and chips. Very generous servings, in the case of the chips too generous. One piece fish and chips is very filling. Since Phil's Seafood closed on Quinpool Road, the best place on the Peninsula for casual seafood meals.

Food is always great. Sad to hear it so for sale. Hope it stays as is. We can't lose two Halifax fish and chip institutions in one year!
