This was my first visit and I can assure you I will be back. The menu had lots a different options all of them look as tasty as the other one. I tried the GO-JO burger with a korean twist (Gojuchang sauce and kimchi) a hint a sweet, salty, a tiny bit of heat. LOooved it! Can't wait until next time!

As the craze of gourmet burger joints quickly faded and more and more of them closed up shop around Halifax, Relish still stands. I figured it was time to finally see how it managed to prevail through the hard times and boy, am I glad I did. I was immediately impressed with my first glance at the menu, seeing that they offer a turkey option for each burger on the menu. This was a huge bonus for my girlfriend who doesn't eat red meat and therefore doesn't get quite as excited as I do about checking out a new burger joint. Both of our burgers were delicious and cooked to perfection. The fries were delicious too. Overall, incredibly impressed with our meal here and look forward to coming back.

Big recommend for this burger place! The burger was tasty and the price was reasonable. there’s a lot of creative burger that ppl can choose. Very nice place, friendly service and good food.

Had their great vegan hummus burger here the other day. I'm always excited to try a new places vegan offerings. Most burgers are about 10 bucks excluding tax or sides, so it's not exactly cheap, but the topping options looked amazing and it's not often you see creative vegan offerings around, so I thought I'd give it a try. The burger was definitely excellent. The patty isn't an imitation of beef burgers, it has a different taste altogether and has a lot more quinoa in it than I'm used to with other veggie burgers. Also beware the garlic which is quite strong! Would definitely try again if I feel like splurging.

Delicious burgers, the relish is what makes it in my opinion. The Halifax explosion burger us a personal favorite.

This place satisfied every craving I had for a hamburger and then satisfied those I didn't know I had. Many return trips are needed.

Back when I was working in Nova Scotia, this was easily one of my I have to go here burger spots. And my favorite burger on the menu is easily the Halifax explosion. The flavor combo sounded so strange that I had to give it a try and man did it not disappoint in flavor or quality. Fries are also good her as well but defiantly get a burger while here.

Awesome burger, not surprisingly its the relish that makes it so good. There is a couple beer and cider options served here. Staff is amazing. Iinitially I did expect to pay as much as I did, but AFTER I ate my food I do think It was just a *tad overpriced. For example Its kind of silly to have pay extra for the mayo dips for fries. The patty was kind of small. But it was still very flavourful, and i'm inclined to go back.

Very nice burger not nothing to make it especially "gourmet" except maybe the meat quality is a bit better than the norm. If that were the case though I would rather have my burger done medium or medium-well instead of well done to really taste the meat. The choice of toppings on the burger could be a bit more gourmet as well. A tasty burger but the price could be better.

Last time, I was able to try their "the rookie" burger and I like their handcut fries. Today, I had (and I recommend) their "LA my lady" burger and big bowl of their cool slaw. Though I paid more this time than first time, it was well worth the $17.91(both tax and tip included) The staff were prompt in taking my order and they were both nice and friendly. The thing I seriously appreciate is their use of disposable gloves which I saw them change frequently - I have never seen that practice in any chinese owned restaurant that I've been to in NS, NB nor Toronto!

My wife and I had a burger crave and it definately hit the spot! She had the "LA is my Lady" and I had the "Harvest Jazz". Both burgers were great! The red relish was a wonderful surprise to us since it was our first time. All the flavor was perfect, no one thing overpowered the other. The fries were a good side but we will try the options next time. It was a little pricey, but I am comparing it to other cities' gourmet burger rates I guess. We will be back for sure!

A delicious, meaty and flavourful burger. My favourite part is the variety of toppings with each creation of burger. I would highly recommend this place for a filling and delicious burger.

Not a great place to eat. Went for a burger and couldn't get the one I ordered because they didn't have the burger. Even though it was promoted on their web page. My daughters grilled cheese was all but burnt. Very disappointing experience. I have looked forward to a Relish burger since a friend of mine opened his own Relish in New Brunswick. Now I know I won't have to return

Good food. Bad price. The burgers are no better than the best pubs in town but the price is a little outrageous.

Good. I've been interested in trying Relish for a long time, we finally stopped in tonight and spent money we really shouldn't have. They actually have a vegan option, which is always awesome in my books. Their "vegetarian" patty is all vegan made with quinoa and other delicious things. The service was great, the girl that waited on us was fairly knowledgeable on vegan items and she made sure to ask if she wasn't sure on something. They accidentally mixed up one of our burgers for a meat one and thankfully I noticed before we left with our take out. They apologized profusely and quickly fixed the situation. The food was good but a little on the pricey side for what you get. All and all, I enjoyed Relish and would recommend it to vegans looking for a fast-food type service.

Not Impressed!. My Husband and I went here for the first time today, after hearing about it on the radio all week. We both ordered their special 'Father's Day' burger combo (which included fries and a drink) and made one of the fries a poutine and the other onion rings. We got out burgers and they were....O.K. at best. The meat was lacking any flavor, the egg was way overcooked, there was only one tiny piece of bacon on it, and it was supposed to have a BBQ sauce but they both came with some sort of mayo and beet sauce. The onion rings and fries were both frozen and the gravy tasted like it came from a can. The only saving grace of the dish was that real cheese curd were used in the poutine. To top it all off our meal came to $43.00!

Over all this place was WAY over priced and way unimpressive! Highly do not recommend wasting your money here. It's got nothing on Darrell's!

Delicious fries as well as fry dips!

Ordered the Angus patty on the Texan with home fries. The service was friendly and prompt. The food was pretty good, the bun was noticeably cold though. Burger was well crafted, the sweet potato fries were underwhelming. With tip of $1.50 the total came to $17. That was with no drink, way too expensive considering Darryl's is not to far away. Darryl's has a better burger, larger serving and with a drink the cost is around $13. Freeman's Eatery, a minute walk from Relish also has a better product.

First visit to this new Halifax location. Have never visited Relish before... And was not familiar with the menu. Considering it's new to Halifax, some explanation of the menu should have been in order.... We thought the chalk board bubble that said; "all burgers start as a Simpleton" ... Was a joke, implying their burgers are not simple. I ordered the Jersey, which sounded interesting... I was surpirsed when my order arrived and it was actually a burger called the "Simpleton", with the Jersey toppings added.... Which frankly, was not so appetizing. I don't see their Simpleton as being complimentary to any or all of the other possible combinations offered. The burger itself was juicy, but lost in the range of toppings. Fries were run of the mill, onion rings were decent but greasy!!!

...I headed over to Relish Gourmet Burgers, which is located at 6024 Quinpool Road, to try one of their many delicious-sounding creations. Many people had told me that I needed to try this spot, so I figured it was time. For this visit, I went with their burger titled Big Texas . Stats From the menu: “Certified Angus beef, whisky creek BBQ sauce, smoked paprika onion frites, pepper jack cheese, crispy bacon, house-made roasted garlic mayo, signature hand-chopped relish, crispy lettuce and juicy tomato.” Appearance (7/10) One thing that I really like, is when a restaurant does away with the typical place setting and changes it up to add their own signature look. My burger was served on skillet, and it added a small but unique twist on the presentation. I really liked the look that the poppyseed bun gave to the burger, and the signature hand-chopp

...Fries were nice and crispy and the house made Curry Mayo was delish! The toppings on the burger were decadent and provided a great sweet and savoury contrast. The burger as a whole gets thumbs up, but the veggie patty alone falls short. Very soft and unable to hold its shape and ultimately flavourless.

Relish is a gourmet burger chain originating in New Brunswick, and a recent addition to the previously non-existent Halifax burger scene. When we walked in, we immediately realized we had walked into a gimmick. We were greeted with a scripted “Welcome to Relish!”, which is kind of annoying, but I have to give the girl at the cash credit because her friendliness and helpfulness persisted beyond her script. The decor is also very “nice”; it’s clean, colourful, modern, and perhaps an indication of the ridiculous amount of money you’re about to spend on a hamburger.
