Went to Anna's today for their amazing food and fantastic service to find out they are closed down permanently. I don't know if it was a Covid casualty or not, but I am very sad about this loss. There are too many small mom&pop shops that are going under. Anna's was very personable and friendly and Anna always made sure you were well taken care of. I hope they do well wherever they may have gone to.

What a perfect place for breakfast and lunch! It’s all made fresh and home cooked style. The ladies behind the counter reminds me on my mom. Great friendly customer service and if I was living in Halifax I’d be here everyday. Must try! I had the French toast plate and omelette plate. Both were so good!

Weird reception from Anna. Not overly welcoming and almost seemed a bit aggravated that we came inside. There were some regulars there that she greeted with smiles and was way more friendly with. But I did notice the tourists and people she didn’t know were less than welcomed. Food was tasty and affordable but nothing I would come back again for.

Anna's cafe is a fantastic spot to grab lunch when you're in downtown Halifax, they always have great food whether its a wrap, salad, sandwich, or one of the great daily specials. This week is especially good for the specials, as they're making specialty burgers for the popular burger week across Halifax. Today they had an awesome egg burger loaded up with bacon and vegetables, it was definitely a satisfying lunch for me, and if you get a chance to I definitely recommend stopping by to try some of their burgers, you wont be disappointed.

If I could give it a 0 I would. First off we ordered orange juice, looked and it was expired. Told staff and she said "well I only charged you for a small..." Implying they know they are expired but just hoping someone drinks it. At this time they never removed the juices, just kept it for the next patron to hopefully not look and consume it. If they do this in front of the shop it concerns me what goes on in the back, how much is expired....
Secondly, I got the French toast and fruit. Nothing special with the French toast and the fruit definitely was old.

Anna's is my favourite place for breakfast in the Halifax area. The food is always great and the good folks who own the place always make me feel at home! :)
