The food at this restaurant is absolutely amazing. I highly recommend trying the Dahi Bhalla- It's unlike anything I've ever tasted. This dish is sweet yet savoury, and light yet flavourful. The service is fast, and the staff members pay great attention to the customers' needs. The decoration is gorgeous and the attention paid to detail is outstanding. Very impressive!

My partner and I went to Rasa Sunday afternoon for a late lunch/early dinner. It was our first time and we had the entire place to ourselves! Loved the atmosphere and decor. Remarkable service - the waiter helped me pick out a non alcoholic beverage that would go good with my meal. The Mango Lassi is delicious. I ordered the Chicken Hyderabadi and my partner got a spicy lamb dish that was not on the menu. Absolutely delicious. Had a wonderful experience and I'd definitely say it's BY FAR the nicest Indian restaurant in Halifax! 👌

My favourite Indian restaurant in Halifax! I have visited many times, and the food is always amazing. The portions are quite small, but the quality and selection are great. Lots of vegetarian options to choose from. The atmosphere is lovely as well; upscale but cozy.

This was hands down the best Indian I have ever tried here in HRM . This might sound crazy, but I’m not even exaggerating when I say, I almost cried when I ate butter chicken, I almost cried because it was that good! The location on Dresden Row is absolutely beautiful the decor is amazing. The service was great too. My only small complaint is the mock tails are way too expensive. 12$ is too much for an alcohol free drink however it was a delicious. Thanks rasa!

We visited the restaurant at the eve it was great ambiance and great ambiance. Khushi was great with her personality and was really approachable and sweet asking if everything was going good. I couldn’t give her more tip since I had an issue with the card as daily tap limit.

This place is certainly a gem of Nova Scotia. I love Indian cuisine and have tried many authentic dishes before - and Rasa really is very high up in quality. Our food was cooked to perfection and the atmosphere was great. Our service was great, we were greeted by a very friendly person and were served by another very nice waitress. I’d definitely come back and would bring my significant other confident we would both have a great time. Some might say the price is bit on the higher side, but personally I’d say it’s worth it given the experience. Highly recommended overall!

I am writing this honest review on Aug 19, 2022 after my lunch there with my family. I read most of the previous negative comments and I must say it is a completely different place now. I never thought I would say this about an Indian restaurant that it is not you regular run of the mill place, it is upscale and quality food to match. If you are expecting big portions or quick service, this is not the place. I would categorize it as a fine dining experience. Every dish was prepared fresh and very tasty. The food arrived approximately 30 min after ordering. Their butter naan was super light and fluffy, other curries like Chicken korma and Mutton seekh Curry was excellent too. I will definitely recommend this place and visit them again. I am expecting this turnaround happened because owner took extra care in making sure everything is perfect.

I gave this restaurant 5 stars in all 3 categories. Firstly, the food is excellent. My favorite is Paneer Lababdar, which I have only had in India, other than at this restaurant, and theirs is fantastic! The price is also not too much. The atmosphere is fine. The service is amazing. Food is served quickly. The staff are very pleasant. Last night we were served by Khushi and she was very attentive and engaging. My only recommendation would be to have kheer added to the desert menu. Otherwise, we love going to this restaurant and look forward to our next visit.

The food was absolutely delicious. A little pricey but worth it. You pretty much need to order a side of bread or rice along with the main meals in order to get a well rounded supper. However, we didn’t mind because the garlic bread was a close contender for the best part! The service was wonderful. We agreed that the manager needs to trust his staff and step back a little bit. They were doing a fabulous job and we felt as though he was hovering a little bit. It would have been nice to be offered a choice between bottled water or tap water too! They set their tables with glass bottles of water and sparkling water. Overall, we are planning to return soon!

A quiet atmosphere with beautifully prepared food, great service, easily accessible in downtown Halifax, where a conversation and delicious food come together. The interior decor and lighting were excellent. Another patron was talking loudly on a cell phone. It would be entirely appropriate for staff to tell them not to do that.

Hands down the most exquisite, authentic, straight from the homeland, perfectly balanced flavors in a beautifully decorated atmosphere. There was a level of service that would exceed anyone's expectation from the greeting at the door to the moment the plates are cleared, you couldn't find a more kind, happy, professional staff. They made us feel right at home from the very 1st beautiful cocktail with homemade root beer that delighted tastebuds with fresh ginger, to the lemongrass essential oil infused steamed hand towels, not to mention the incredible meal! I honestly could write a book on how delicious it all was!!! Trust! If you love Flavors of India, RASA is THE #1Place in Halifax, NS!!! 5☆'s!!!

Simply an amazing experience. Enjoyed dinner here tonight with my family. My very first time dining here and I was absolutely blown away. The atmosphere was incredible. The staff were fantastic, quick, attentive, and knowledgeable. The food was genuine and authentic. I can't get over for great everything tasted. The best Indian experience I have ever had, let alone in Halifax. Will 100% be returning. 10/10

The food is flavorful and authentic, and my dish was sufficient to last 1.5ish meals (I got the vegetable korma and had it for dinner then, and took the leftover for lunch the next day with rice —> for me that was enough for 2 meals). I like the overall experience, and genuinely enjoyed our time there. The pics are of our entire order for 3 people.

Decided to try this restaurant after always going by it on my way home. The food was wonderful, and did not disappoint. I ordered Chicken Tikka Masala and Basmati Rice. The waiter and waitress were both very attentive and kind. I only have a few minor issues relating to the food. The non-sparkling water I was served was approximately 6 dollars. However, when I viewed both the drink and standard menu on the website, I couldn’t find a listed price. The Basmati Rice was great, but a bit too big for one person, so I would advise splitting it. The Chicken Tikka Masala was very flavourful. I’ve seen reviews complaining that the portions are too small, but I found it to be just right, especially when looking at the size of the chicken pieces provided. I would certainly recommend trying Rasa if you have the chance.

They're relatively new so I decided to give them a try. The staff was very nice! I sat by the bar and spoke to the staff about the food and other conversation pieces. They were very helpful and welcoming. They have a good liquor collection and a nice variety of food. I got the plain & garlic naan, and ordered the Chicken Korma since I've never tried it before. Zero regrets. It was flavorful, rich and set at a decent price. Definitely going back.

Last week we went to this restaurant, their service and ambience was really great. We had chicken briyani and Mango Lassi, specially the briyani was so delicious. Never had such a flavor full briyani in Halifax before. Would definitely recommend this to all who are craving for Briyani!!

Excellent service. This is probably one of the best Indian restaurants in Halifax, and can get busy as a result. I certainly recommend checking this out. If you really like traditional Indian food, let the chef know to pump up the spices and/or increase the heat. We ordered hot which for us was very mild. They’ll adjust to accommodate when you order traditionally spiced food (Indian spicy versus North American spicy).
