Great old school diner which feels like a time warp to the last, but in a good way. Great and friendly service. My daughter has wanted to go here for awhile because it always smelled so good when we walked by. She loved the service, milkshake, fries and grilled cheese
Great little dinner. I had the fish and chips. Batter on the fish was nice and crispy and fish was flaky. The fries were crispy and fluffy. Gravy was a nice add on too. The price was excellent at $8 for a 2 piece. I'm going back soon to try the bacon cheeseburger and fries.
All the stars.. if you want to have an old school diner experience then come see the gang here.. not many of these spots left in halifax. Take your piece of paper to write down what you want and don’t forget to put your dishes away you filthy animals 😂 just go grab a club and some onion rings.. have a milkshake and forget about counting your calories for a minute
Absolutely fantastic experience. The food was simple, delicious, and inexpensive. It was like stepping into the 70’s.
The owners had spectacular banter and were clearly a well oiled machine. The chicken club and the chicken fingers were QUALITY, and you better get yourself a milkshake cause they were amazing.
If you don’t know the deal you get a menu and write your own order on a slip of paper and bring it to them and bus your own table at the end of the meal. It was a really lovely experience and a Halifax MUST.
This place has consistently been an excellent place to come for food. It's nostalgic decor and cozy seating, paired with low prices and tasty dishes, mean that the Westcliff is an amazing choice for individuals or small groups craving quality.
The staff/owners are super friendly and so quick too! They definitely contribute greatly to how friendly and cozy the place feels.
I have been coming here since 2019, and I have absolutely no complaints. Walking into the restaurant, you are almost instantly greeted by the husband and wife that own the place. Some of the kindest people that you will meet here in the city. The food is consistently good no matter what you order, and the price is always more than fair. Stop by on your lunch break for a quick bite to eat, or bring the kids for a nice diner style dinner. Either way you'll leave with a belly full of home cooked food and a smile on your face.
Delicious home cooked food & milkshake was to die for. The fudge is a must try! Phenomenal prices. Our meal was under $20 and service was amazing.

Open Tuesday to Friday from 11 am to 6 pm. I could go on about how great the food, value, and old school diner atmosphere is but I wouldn't do it justice. Just go, you won't be disappointed. Get the cheeseburger with onion rings and a milkshake to initiate yourself. Best club in the city and the fish and chips are great.
