What a cool place to grab a dessert! Great atmosphere, and I didn’t even get to see the speakeasy. I got the peanut butter pie, per the recommendation from Emma. The coffee was a nice touch, too. Go and check it out when you can. Also, speakeasy nights are Friday and Saturday!

Cute little dessert place with a hidden secret... give your waitress the password of the day, and she'll whisk you away to a hidden Speakeasy. Our desserts were divine, and our drinks were delectable. Special mention to our waitress... I didn't get her name, but her energy and bubbliness was so contagious and refreshing.

Great spot for a late night drink and dessert! Loved the concept, was more of a lounge than a restaurant but they still have food to order. We sat in a super comfy couch and had some drinks and carrot cake at pretty good prices.

The drinks on the menu are a bit on the strong side though for anyone who likes a more mild taste. But if nothing there catches your eye, you can let the bartender know and they can make anything you want to order! The dessert we got was amazingly chocolatey smooth and the perfect size to share. The vibes are also immaculate, and great for an easygoing night out. Edit: returned for Nye for after dinner desserts and still a good place. Had the chocolate Brownie cake and carrot cake and both were fantastic. Some great tasting desserts. A relatively small selection but very good nonetheless. Loved the peanut butter pie.

Ordered a couple of desserts here while visiting Halifax. We got the chocolate torte and peanut butter pie. Both were amazing. Portion were neither too big or small. And they weren't very sweet. In a good way. Nicely balanced flavours. Good place to go if you're looking to sit down and satisfy those dessert cravings.

We didn't have any food, just cocktails downstairs at the hidden little gem, The Noble. It reminded me of an old cigar bar from the movies (without the cigars). A password is needed to enter the place, which makes it very secretive and elitist! Very unique experience for me and my party. The cocktails are absolutely delicious! Thank you for a wonderful experience!! :)

My friend was super excited to go here. I found the desserts we ordered were okay. Did not really like the carrot cake which is apparently the best seller but I also in general don’t like carrot cake. The toffee pudding was good but make sure you have lots of people to share it with otherwise it is way too heavy

The atmosphere was amazing, the bartender was kind and has a good amount of bar flair which made it seem like he knew what he was doing. My only real concern with this location is the prices on their website don't match their menus! Everything is about ~$2 more expensive than what is listed. I got two drinks which were both wonderful albeit a tad pricey. Also got the pulled pork sliders which were DELICIOUS-- but only bite-sized! I expected a bit more for $12. The sweet potato soup was also lovely. I'll definitely have to be back to sample some desserts and try some more of their extensive cocktail menu.

Cocktails are amazing and the dessert is so good. Great place for a hot chocolate and cake. Food was so good I couldn't even wait long enough to take a photo before taking a bite

Service was a little slow the night we were there. It wasn't super busy either. Otherwise the desserts were good and my wife enjoyed the espresso martini, though she did find it sweeter than expected

The food, service, and ambiance were all incredible. Cocktails were excellent, and we particularly enjoyed the Aphrodite’s Kiss and the peanut butter pie, and our servers were incredibly friendly. This is a great place to visit with slightly older family, and it’s especially fun if you can figure out the secret ;)

OMG. So delicious. Huge, huge cocktail list and, of course, a delicious dessert menu. I was a little surprised to see that there only about 10 desserts, which is a funny comment, but I assumed it would be, like, pages and pages. Anyway, it turns out it doesn't matter because the desserts they do have are FANTASTIC. Highly recommended for a visit.

The staff were super friendly. Drinks came out quickly, and tasted great. A little on the pricy side but what can you expect. Overall cute place.

Went here for my bachelor party last week and have to say it was amazing. First time here and the deserts we got were amazing, had to try all of my friends plates too cause it was just so good. <br/><br/>Tried the Easter Rising drink and have to say for someone who doesn't usually like booze this drink was amazing, loved everything about it. Also our waitress was awesome for letting us know about the place and offered her own personal input about what we order which is awesome. I will be back for sure.

I always enjoy coming here. The atmosphere (darkly lit, interesting decor with big spoons on the wall), fantastic service, decadent desserts, drinks that pack the punch- though expensive, certainly don't skimp on flavour, variety, or alcohol.)

I love pairing a delicious cocktail with a mouthwatering dessert at The Middle Spoon. This matched with knowledgable and lovely waitstaff, and a really warm environment makes for a great date night.

I frequent this establishment and I am in love with the sticky toffee pudding and the kale salad ! The environment is inviting and clean with friendly staff and always delicious cocktails.

Went to this establishment on a very rainy day after a small meal at another establishment. The place is filled with unique pieces of furniture. There is a mix of lounge chairs, bar seating and regular table seating. There is plenty of room as there is more space in the basement. I went with my wife for dessert. But they have a 3 course special where you can pick any app, sandwich and dessert for $16.99. Unfortunately, they are not open for lunch, so ideal if you in for a light dinner or snack. <br/><br/>We ordered the cardamom carrot cake and my wife had the lemon tarte. I also order a spiced cider that went well with the carrot cake.  The cardamom was in the cream cheese icing and kind of overwhelmed the carrot cake but it was unique I just couldn't taste the carrot. It was also served with a sorbe on the side which helped to cleanse the cardamom taste with every bit. <br/><br/>My wife's dessert was not to my liking as I do not like meringue or tarte tasting food. The tarte was served in the middle of a meringue with whip cream and fruit. I personally would never order this, so I let my wife have the whole thing. If you like berries and tarte desserts it is a good choice. <br/><br/>Serve was good and I enjoyed the decor and music. I do agree it is not for everyone and you may pay more than your used to from a dessert place. But it has it's niche market, and if your looking for a chill, interesting place to hang with friends I much do enjoy this establishment and would come again.

Delicious and great selection, but overpriced.

We had the Lava cake and coffees with Baileys. Both were fabulous!! Service was attentive and friendly. First GREAT cup of decaf I've had. 2013/04/27

Dissapointing. Heard great things about this place, but was very dissapointed with my experience. First of all, the waitress didn't even want to serve us because we were underage and had to be out by 9 in accordance with liquor laws. Understandable. But it wasn't even 8 o clock! For the remainder of the evening she was very short with us as if we did something wrong, and it reflected in the service as their was no quality check, or even napkins to the table after we asked for some.<br/><br/>The worst part is, I wouldnt even consider the desserts mediocre. Especially for the heavy $11 price tag! The torte had no flavor except a hint of espresso, and I could have made a better sunday at home- would have thought the brownie chunks in it would have been good-- tasted like they came out of a box. <br/><br/>Avoid this spot if you can. Great atmosphere, but service and most importantly the desserts are seriously lacking

The most amazing place to get dessert! Everything is so tasty, freshly prepared plus they have one of my favorite beers. The environment is very romantic and ambient, the waitresses are pleasant, and the music is low enough to converse. It takes a while to get the food but they warn you and it's worth it!!
