Very unique and interesting spot for listening to some live music. Bare bones pub style with a quirky twist. Service was excellent, food was enjoyable, and the entertainment (Garrett Mason) was out of this world.
Went here after dinner to check out the music scene. They had a really fun upbeat band playing some great blues. It wasn’t too packed for a Friday at 9 either. We got a decent spot on the upper level right in the line of sight of the stage. Our waiter was very attentive and friendly.
Great inviting atmosphere and really good blues artists, with regular bands that play weekly. Amazing food - I had the pad thai and my wife had the nachos and both were SO tasty. Good selection of local beers too; Olands Export Ale was a new one for me.
Oh what fun we had on Sunday!! Blues jam night with guests musicians was so fun and everyone was SO awesome. 🎶
Our server was excellent and the food was yummy.
This place was recommended to me by a friend. Drove an hour and a half to try it out and all I can say is that I will absolutely be back. Amazing food and incredible staff.
The place has an amazing vibe. When we went in there while we were passing by and man what a night we had. The band was playing, people just dancing away on the floor and even though we were just there for a single night we made a couple of great acquaintances. Must visit esp on Sundays or Wednesday
This place is always great. The music has never disappointed me.
Do not make my mistake. Don’t judge this book by it’s cover. It’s not much to look at from the outside, but this pub is a top spot in downtown Halifax. They serve real pints unlike most of the wimpy bars in the area. Guinness, my favourite, is on tap. And the food was excellent and reasonably priced
One week after moving here 5 years ago, I saw this place and couldn't wait to go (I had a favorite, regular blues bar back home). Well, I finally went and wish my first time WAS 5 years ago!! Fabulous place!
