My partner and I came here after the Bill Burr comedy special. We both have never eaten at this establishment before but wanted to go somewhere extra special. We were running a bit late but the staff accommodated us with open arms and gave us excellent service. I got the rainbow trout and zucchini my partner got the steak and we shared asparagus and the mashed potatoes. This was probably the best thing I've eaten in years definitely one of the best meals I've ever had. Will absolutely be coming back to this restaurant and suggest all friends and family try their food as well. The atmosphere was relaxing and beautiful.

We visit 5 start steakhouses up and down the east coast of N.America and this has been the best one, bar none. Food absolutely divine. Not huge menu, but everything is perfection. Bartenders drink recommendations were absolutely spot on. Wait staff checks in frequently, but not hovery. And all staff clearly work as a team, no sense of competition or any drama/personality conflicts that come across to customers. Atmosphere was romantic, but not eye straining. Location set back, but easy to find. 10/10 in absolutely everyday. Worth the 16hr drive from home just for dinner in the future.

Tonight, my wife and I dined at Cut to celebrate our 25th anniversary. What a nice evening! The steaks were perfect and a testament to the chef's expertise, and their selection of ample sides and enhancements elevated the meal to a higher level. From the delicious Yukon gold mashed potatoes, green beans, and sautéed mushrooms, each side dish complemented the steaks flawlessly. What truly sets Cut apart was the courteous and comprehensive service. The staff worked seamlessly as a team, were highly knowledgeable about the menu, and attentive to every detail of our dining experience without intrusion.They all worked together to ensure our satisfaction. Thanks Cut, for a fine evening out! Highly recommended.

Hands down best steak I've ever had. The place is fancy and reservations are required. Nothing is overlooked here. Brown butter, heated plates, $250 steaks. Delicious. Service impeccable. I ordered a Alberta Angus 8oz with a baked potato. The steak practically melted in my mouth. Place is expensive so be prepared to pay. I do recommend this place and I'll definitely be back.

Awesome steaks and even better service! My wife and I went here for a nice night out plus a friend had given us a gift certificate they had won in the QE2 Lottery. When trying to redeem it there was some technical issues with the machine. Our server took it on himself to go and sort it out. Our savior for the night. Great service! We each had a striploin. I think my wife's PEI one was better than my Alberta (in picture) but both were spectacular!

Great steak. One of the best I’ve had actually. We ordered the rib steak bone in and have nothing but great things to say about it. Our server was ok, a little bit over-sharing in his personal life, and was a little bit snappy in questions that we had. Particularly about the wine. We tasted a bottle recommendation and sent it back as it wasn’t what we were looking for, he wasn’t too bothered, but made a sarcastic comment when trying the next bottle which we accepted. Just wasn’t expecting nor should have received when dining at such a restaurant. Still, one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a while. Would have been better if they had some more steakhouse staples such as creamed spinach.

Absolutely hands down one of the best restaurants we have dined in. Fabulous food, service and atmosphere. Amazing dining experience. We are from Ottawa and have dined in many great restaurants. The Cut is right up there with the best. Thank you Philip, Dillion, Mike and Jim for making our dining experience so wonderful.

Arrived with a group of 8 and it was easily the best steak I've had in Halifax. Service was fantastic. There was a little issue at the end when separating the bill, but I'm happy to say we still ended up making our boat reservation even though it was pretty close 🙂. Would highly recommend dining here, especially for groups of people.

Nice place for a business dinner or lunch. Had fresh oysters for starters, an Atlantic AAA steak and 1.5 lbs Atlantic lobster dinner with starch baked potato and Chef's vegetables as an enhancement. Good selection of wine.

Date night with the hubby and had a delicious meal. Staff was great and entertaining (had the table side caesar). My one tiny critique would be that I would have loved a wet towelette after the seafood tower instead of at the end of entire meal. The brine from the crab legs made my hands sticky. Other than that, enjoyed everything we ate.

The best steak ever. Cooked to perfection and so flavorful. The ceasar salad made tableside was also one of the best salads I've had.

The Cut Steakhouse in Halifax, Nova Scotia had delicious locally raised and marvelously aged #steaks. The accompaniments were "mmmm" inspiring too. Their #cocktails and creme brulee was next level too. And finally their #mixologist and server were 10/10. We highly recommend this place for fine dining if you visit the Atlantic region.

Magnificent! Some of the best scallops I’ve ever had, wonderful steak perfectly prepared, with well made accompaniments. The dessert was great - the mocha crème brûlée was 10 out of 10. Service that could put some of the Michelin star restaurants we have visited to shame. Rebecca was the perfect server - attentive but not intrusive. I would have taken more photos but the food didn’t last long enough.

Was thoroughly impressed. Went there with my boyfriend for my birthday and everything was top notch. Our servers (I feel bad I don't remember their names) were great. Very informative, and knowledgeable about the menu and they took the time to give great and personable service. The meals were fabulous and came out fairly quick. I had the lobster mushroom risotto. The lobster was by far the best I've ever had, the whole dish was spot on. My boyfriend had the boneless ribeye ... it was the best steak either of us had ever had, literally melted in your mouth. Paired with the Fingerlings potatoes, Brussels sprouts and mushrooms this was easily one of the best meals we've ever had dining out. Worth every penny for a nice night out. We will definitely be back!

Went to CUT for the first time ever last night. Made a reservation for 7pm, showed up at 6:36pm. The staff was extremely pleasant. The waitress sat us down early, and the service was phenomenal. I have never had such a better tasting steak in my entire lifetime. Thank you CUT for the amazing food and service. Can not wait to come back! :)

Greeting with a warm maritime welcome, i visited with a group from work and enjoyed all aspects of the service , the knowledge of the server regarding the steaks was appreciated. Lobster risotto was delicious enough for two too share. The enhancement ordered was a steamed green which was very flavourful and plenty for one , desert was acceptable and plenty of wines to choose from, the Service was very good the table side Caesar was very good if I could give one bit of advice I would make this offering entertaining.

Fantastic food ..male staff somewhat stiff ...the girl at the desk was fabulous ,her beautiful personality made up for the waiters . Best steak I have had in years. The decor and atmosphere makes for a lovely evening out , I flew in to Halifax from Montreal to take my bestie out for dinner and She was ecstatic ..so thank you !

If there were more stars we would give them!! Our experience tonight was amazing. Fantastic service!! They made us feel like royalty:). We ordered the ribeye. Local and USDA. Both were amazing!! We also got the lobster risotto which was so creamy and cooked perfectly. For dessert we shared the Looks like a lemon dessert. AMAZING!!!

Menu has changed a lot since last time we visited. No more garlic mashed or carrots, which I could have lived with, but to substitute we had the baked potato and it was dry and the green beans and weren't a fan (not necessarily anything wrong with the beans, we just didn't enjoy them). My husband and I have been going here for almost 10 years and I've never left so much steak on my plate. It was the USDA striploin which we've had before but it was terribly fatty this time. It's a shame because we've gone here for years as our special date night and I don't think we'll be back.

Just had dinner earlier with my husband to celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary. It was a perfect choice. Good steak - had a boneless ribeye USDA. I highly recommend it. Service was excellent. I'll definitely come back.

Our 27th Anniversary celebration Aug 25/17 with my husband and another couple. When you go to CUT STEAKHOUSE you expect great dining experience and that involves food and service. With the prices on the menu, we got neither. The food was just ok nothing special or over the top. The service was very poor, unfriendly and almost insulting. Our male waiter Jonathan tried to be friendly and helpful, but he didn't have the class to pull it off and instead verged on being condescending. Started off good with Martinis, but long time before he came back to check on us. After an hour we ordered meals & wine and asked if they could serve some bread with hummus or something and response was "of course that will be coming right away". LOL For some reason, they don't serve the bread basket until just before the appetizers. Bad timing, cold bread with 2 butter swirls for the 4 of us. Really?? Steaks arrived and we all ordered USDA Prime, Omaha, Nebraska Rib Eye. Mine was heavily marbled with large chunks of embedded fat but my friends steak was much better. We spent over 3 hours there and $800 bucks which we would do again IF the SERVICE was TOP NOTCH, but it was POOR & and the food was worth the price. So sad to say, we will not being dining at THE CUT STEAKHOUSE again.
