We had such a great time here while visiting Halifax .. we came back again the next night !! They even had an opened and decanted bottle of AMARONE waiting for us as requested.. service ?..yep.. know their stuff ? Yep.. good match of food and cheese w the wine ? Yep .. pretence ? None... next time back to Halifax guess where we’re going ... maybe we need a franchise ���

Went for a wine tasting for my friends bachelorette party. Erin was very knowledgeable and a treat to learn from. Tried my first oyster there and love it! Great atmosphere would definitely go back!

One of my favourite places to visit! The atmosphere is perfect, especially during the live music nights. The servers are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, and are never condescending when asked questions. The food is extremely filling, flavourly, and generously portioned.
Very big fan of the wine flights for when you want to try a new variety but aren't prepared to commit to a full glass. The servers also have great recommendations! I was unsure whether I would enjoy an orange wine, but after listening to my wine preferences I was recommended a delicious wine that I order a second glass of.
Can’t recommend this place enough. Fantastic wine selection, including great NS producers. (Make sure to ask what’s off menu!) Live music nights are a genuine treat.
Gnocchi, cheesecake, and the charcuterie board are standouts and if you’re lucky enough to sit at the bar, Heather is a gem.

The gnocchi were pillowy, light and melt in your mouth delicious. The Mornay sauce was rich and creamy while the crumble added the perfect touch of texture/saltiness to the dish. •
The cheese cake was both light and rich. The fresh berry compote brought the right amount of sweetness to the dessert. Both dishes were impeccable and well balanced. I would strongly recommend. Kudos!
Came to this small wine bar for Jazzfest. We mostly ordered the appetizers to share - the best item was the tuna aburi, the rest was unremarkable. Otherwise, loved the vibe and the staff were amazing.
Casual, chic and intimate spot for wine and live music. Great vibes, even for a large group (we were 7+). I especially liked the Short Rib Spaghetti.
I experienced Obladee last night during the Dine Around Halifax event. I was *highly* impressed with this restaurant and wine bar. The freshly prepared food was beautifully presented and tasted even better. The service from everyone involved could not have been better. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The wine selection was vast and varied. This exceptional establishment in downtown Halifax deserves five stars because the lovely team knows how to make the guests feel special and important. Thank you for an incredibly enjoyable and memorable experience!
I came in on a whim while walking around Halifax. I enjoyed a glass of local white and raw oysters. I came back later in the day for the local rose and red. I loved the atmosphere and the service each visit was efficient and the staff were professional. I would love to come back for round 3!
Thoughtful wine list, both glass and bottle. Very knowledgeable staff, so you really can't go wrong. I have been going here for 10+ years and the recommendations are always bang on. The food offerings are very good and prices fair. Something for everyone. Staff are exceptional, their knowledge is first rate and the place is total first class. High recommendation. Some real amazing gems on the ever changing bottle list as well.
All I can say is WOW. My girlfriends and I had a night out at Obladee last night and we were all blown away. The staff were so incredibly accommodating, knowledgeable and just over all so kind! Will rave about this to everyone!

Exceptional staff, friendly owners, great food, stellar atmosphere, and lively music. Obladee has become an absolute staple for me in Halifax and I've grown to cherish it.
Having lived and frequented to wine bars across Canada, Sonoma, and France--Obladee somehow blends the perfect mix of atmosphere, food, and live music no where else has.
Their tagliatelle is somehow better than Bicycle Thief, and when paired with the Syrah from Portugal and live Jazz on Wednesday you'll be left wanting more.
