We had our wedding at lower deck and I really can’t say enough about the entire team. Laura and Larissa are beyond amazing. They are so well organized and basically took away all my stress. The staff were so lovely and every guest commented how great the food was. Thank you to the lower deck team for making our day absolutely perfect. Would highly recommend!!

My friend and I went to the pub to have a drink, but ended up staying until the end of the night. They had live entertainment playing in the courtyard that night which was fantastic!
The seating was unique in the sense of a high school cafeteria style, which fosters the ability to have conversations and make new friends. The food was really good and the staff are a super friendly bunch.

Awesome venue for a small-medium sized wedding. We've photographed here multiple times and it's always been an absolute treat! The decor is really rustic, super into the wooden slats and dope spot for dancing. It's also right in the historic properties on the waterfront which is perfect for portraits, and super beautiful! It is a dark venue but as long as you hire photographers who know how to shoot there, you are golden. 10/10 recommend!

I didn't stay long. Had a Corona on the patio. Waiter was a bit odd but better than rude. The service was really fast but I had to pay for each drink when I got it. Kinda odd but ok.

I mean what can you say about this iconic location. We went for supper and a beer but ended up staying until last call. The band that playing that night was excellent and once the place got busy we just ended up staying. Despite the place being extremely full the staff was attentive.
I would not recommend this place to anyone who gets claustrophobic as once the band starts playing it is very hard to move. We were there on a Wednesday evening and it was a busy as a Friday night.
Otherwise we had a great Night and of course I highly recommend the lower deck for a true maritime experience

It was my first time here, I really enjoyed it. The price of food was decent and tasty, but I wish their fries could be better. Their fish and salad were good! Love the atmosphere and the live music!!! People were really enjoyed the moment and that’s my favorite part of this bar. The only thing I was concerned was the price of beer. Beer was great, but they didn’t have menu, and price was mysterious lol after I got the bill and almost passed out lol otherwise I really enjoyed it, the artist (musician) was so gooood! Will go back again for the live music for sure!!

Only been here on Sundays in the summer. Line ups start early for the courtyard to open at 9pm. Love the alternative bar options, as sometimes the lineups are long and it helps.
Its amazing how when you leave the courtyard you can hardly hear the music, impressive acoustics in an outdoor setting.
Staff are amazing and super friendly, they definitely deserve a round on you

Hey, this was an amazing recommendation from my husband’s coworker! Heard there’s a live band around 9:30pm but we weren’t able to stay that long for it. The nachos are loaded and remained crispy even half an hour after serving. I appreciated that a lot! Wish we walked around this part of the harbourfront earlier!

Live music on a Wednesday. Beer Hall atmosphere. The lower deck was open however not the above 2 bars. Sitting is at long tables with everyone else. Pricey food no doubt if you get served when they are busy. Not enough staff to serve everyone so you will wait on drinks during the busy time. 💯 recommend the triple decker cocktail out of a can. Will be the best drink you ever have.

Stopped in for a quick dinner and stayed half the night. The staff is friendly, the food was good and then the band started. I believe they were called Shade and they played classic rock to top 40 pop. If you closed your eyes, you would think it was the real band. It is a standard drink selection. There are no specialty drinks, beer, wine and bar shots.

Love the food and the atmosphere. It is a great place to get that old Nova Scotia/history feel. I did find the service to be a bit slow but the food and overall atmosphere of historic properties is a must for anyone new to Nova Scotia.

My husband and I ate an early supper here after buying a Groupon deal that included 1 shared appetizer, 2 entrees and 1 shared desert. They honored it with no issues at all. I was really impressed with the service and the food was great. We ordered deep fried pepperoni, my husband had the Digby Scallop Burger and I got a regular Burger and we shared a brownie pint for desert. Everything was really really good. I found the selection a little lacking but it is a pub after all and not a restaurant so that's understandable. It was before the live music soni didnt get a real feel for the atmosphere but I would definitively go back when there is a live band playing. Overall I'd give it a 4 1/2!

Signal Hill re always awesome but the bar staff and waiters are rude and not welcoming. Sorry guys for a bar as well known as lower deck, you got to get your staff better trained. Been to lots of busy spots but bar staff like this makes me want to go elsewhere

Four of us went in 2 of us had the fish and chips and 2 had the club...both fish were just bad the batter looks nice but has a bad after taste to it...the clubs came out barely toasted and the fries(frozen) with both clubs were barley cooked...my beer was good and that was about it.im not sure how the entertainment is as we were in around supper time and they were setting up....basicaly if your stopping in to eat dont keep going somewhere else!

So, we arrived at 9ish. Found a seat at the bar. I really wanted to name the bar tender but I didn't get his name. Short dark hair, clean cut. We ordered food which was exceptional, and for the next 3hrs, the service, even though it was totally packed, was 10 star. Our drinks were never empty. We will definitely return and look for this bar tender! Also, this was Sunday July 29th 2018 never knew a Sunday night would be so hopping!

You do not get to experience many places like this anywhere. At least, I haven't, and I have travelled quite a bit.
Quaint maritime appeal. The Lower Deck is a great place to come check out the local bands. The food was delicious, especially for a pub and reasonably priced. I love that the whole bar sings along, its like hanging out with friends. In fact, the both times I visited I made sure to come down, and each time I made new friends there. Great atmosphere. Service can be a little slow at times.
Advice: go early to get a decent seat.
