Good spot for a date. The price is a bit high but it goes together with atmosphere of the place and excellent service. It is not too loud so you will be able to enjoy conversation with the partner or friends. Selection of alcohol is great so you can find something for your taste. Food was good and portions are more than enough.
Our table was ready on time. Service through from Chelsea was superb, warm, accommodating, attentive. All food was excellent. Both Cobb salad and Caesar salad were among the best we have had and generous, served in nicely chilled plates. New York strip steak and prime rib mains were excellent, fresh, perfectly cooked, great sides, all served on nicely warmed plates. Tip top all round.
Great service. Nice atmosphere. Food was great! Service was fast and our server Sarah was amazing! My husband has a shellfish allergy and we informed the server. After that we had a manager approach to heck in and ensure the details of the allergy. She assured us our concerns would be well taken care of. Absolutely professional, attention to detail, fabulous!
June 2023: awesome service by Franco. As always food was delicious. This time we had calamari, scallops & bacon, shrimp cocktail, escargot, and prime rib. The bacon could have been cooked more but the scallops were done perfectly.
We visited for Valentine’s Day 2023 and the prime rib, filet, and lobster were all delicious. Our server was exceptional and very funny too. What a great night!
2022: Great food, perfect service by Katie. We sat on the lounge side and it was cozy. Apps were shrimp cocktail - love the presentation in a martini glass, mushrooms Neptune, prime rib with garlic mash, and sirloin with lobster tail. The veggies I got as my side were so fresh and flavourful. Everything was cooked perfectly.
We had an absolute amazing meal. The evening was perfect .
Our waiter Franco was great . Very welcoming and he was friendly and nonintrusive . He made the night perfect .
Quite spacing food is really good got the very berry smoothie, keg burger 🍔 and fries 🍟 for my main meal and appetizer had .Vanilla ice cream 🍨 with chocolate sauce cherry 🍒 on the top my aunt had the hamburger or steak not actually sure what she had my dad had steak 🥩 with mashed potatoes. Diet Pepsi or Diet Coke he didn’t get the dessert my aunt had cheesecake from there she enjoyed it
and we were very full after a great meal and atmosphere.

Lovely host, waitress - waiters were all nice.the food came out rather quick. Fries wasn’t the best but the steak and veggies grilled were awesome.

Service was great! For a party with 30, it was a great experience. My personal experience was superb. Billy Miner Pie is a "MUST" have. Words cannot describe how good this is. I recommend starting with this dessert first. We tried different appetizers. The Baked Brie was gooey throughout. Slightly salty for my taste, but everyone at my table enjoyed it. The Crispy Cauliflower was an out-of-body experience. They managed to make Cauliflower taste amazing. Tuna Tartare was uniquely flavorful. Calamari was good, extra peppers and it would be a star. Baked Garlic Shrimp was not missing any garlic AT ALL! The Lobster Bisque was a little of a let down for me! I was hoping for some lobster bits in the soup. The scoop of sour cream and broke the consistency a bit apart. With no protein or crunch aspect to the soup, it was a bit ordinary for a bisque. The Peppercorn New York Strip with the Blue Cheese Crust is will be my choice again and again and again! The vegetables were cooked to PERFECTION! It was Perfect PERFECTION!
I opted for the Mashed Cauliflower for my side dish. All around, my experience was amazing. There were some overcooked dishes, which altered the overall experience. If the service outshines the food, I will give it a 5 star. In this case, it did. The KEG Downtown has some superb wait staff. ✋️ Well Done. We will be back!
Don't go here often due to parking, but we always make sure to go now and then. The food and staff are always exceptional. The waiter we had was friendly and joking with us whenever he came to check on us or take an order.
We both had steaks, which were cooked exactly as asked for, I had the blue cheese crust and rice as a side. The blue cheese crust was very well balanced as blue cheese can be over powering sometimes.
All and all, I would always reccomend the Keg as a nice night out, it may be a chain Restaurant but it is run with exceptional quality.
Excellent food, quality service. I don’t go out for steak very often, but going to The Keg is a real treat. The steak was cooked perfectly and it was a good sized meal starting off with free bread, then you can get the keg classic which comes with a salad, mushrooms, and accompaniments along with your steak. Or if you don’t have much appetite, just go with the steak as the salad and bread can just be a meal on its own. For us, one of us got the Keg Classic and the other different, so we just shared the Caesar salad and some of the steak so that we had enough room for some dessert at the end.
I've been to the Keg restaurant from coast to coast to coast and this one did not disappoint. They accommodated our group of 16 in an area mostly to ourselves. As usual the food was great and the desserts even better. The 2 servers were great and we had a good time with them.
Visited Keg with family over the weekend. They're service was very good and food quality excellent. There was some time delay between our appitizers and our main dishes but it was not too terribly long. Though inside we had no windows the lighting was adequate and gave a good vibe. Overall, a very good place for informal and formal meetings over a meal.
We had a great early Valentine's Day dinner here. Our server was fantastic, and the food was delicious! I loved the stuffed mushroom caps as an appetizer. And I really loved the blue cheese filet as my main.

I was at the keg tonight in Halifax. The food was ok but the service is what I’m here to talk about. The lady who served me was absolutely on point and so polite. But here’s the deal. After I gathered up all my stuff and left, I was about a block away and the bartender who had been serving me ran up behind me with my wallet that I had left behind. The lady’s name was Isabel and she is a super human being and a credit to the keg company. I can’t explain the pain she saved me. Thank you so much, Isabel!!
