Dumplings were delicious and crispy, must try for vegans. Pad Thai (rice noodles) was good overall with broccoli with just the right amount of flavors, bell peppers and peanut. Beverage Glass lemon kick is a refreshing tangy drink. Side potato wedges were yummy. Good place for vegans and expect your invoice to be around-$55-$70 for a couple. Quantity is generous for 1 person. 2 people can easily share Pad Thai if you have normal appetite.

We went in for a very late lunch/early supper and easily found a comfortable spot. I ordered a Banh Mi sandwich which was their special of the day(Not on menu). I asked the staff to replace the mushroom topping with the Tofu and they were able to make that change. It was a decent sandwich however, impossible to eat like a sub, so had to go the knife-fork route. I will say I’ve had better but this was good too.
My friends(both of them actually) ordered the Mushroom Tacos and they found it a bit underwhelming.
I also had ordered an ‘Old-Fashioned’ cocktail which was pretty good.
I would say it is a good restaurant. Probably will have a better experience with the group next time around.

This was an excellent restaurant, and all vegan, so I could order anything off the menu! The protein power bowl was fresh and delicious, and the bean burrito was good too, though I would have liked to know ahead of time that it was spicy! The staff were very friendly and helpful, and I'll definitely return here when I'm in Halifax.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would. First off let's talk about the staff. Absolutely amazing, they went above and beyond. We were served by Courtney and she took all the time to talk to us about the menu and the drinks. Offered great suggestions and went above and beyond with recommending places in the city to eat and drink at. And now she goes further above and beyond by calling a local pizza shop to see if they could accommodate me being vegan. Now one step further, checks her old emails to help us get into a local speakeasy. Everything about her was perfect.
Now the food. Excellent, I had the schnitzel with potatoes and it was super convincing. My girlfriend had a bowl that was delicious. We had to get an appetizer and dessert. Neither disappointed. Drinks were also very tasty, both the alcoholic and non alcoholic ones
You will not regret going here, so do yourself a favour and go.

A must-try for anyone in the area. I make a point of dropping in every time we visit Halifax.
Their menu is expansive and full of variety. So many delicious vegan options for anyone to enjoy. My fave is the chili cheeze fries, they are LOADED with toppings. Finally got to try the King Wings and I wish we got more, they were sauced up and so flavorful. Their burgers are also stacked with toppings, worth a try but can be messy.
They generally have some rotating seasonal cocktails available, I tried a spiced cider and it really hit the spot on a cold rainy day.
Staff was a little pretentious but honestly, kinda comes with the territory when you go to a hipster vegan restaurant. He was nice enough to explain ingredients and give recommendations for popular dishes last time we visited.

We were visiting Halifax and found this restaurant close to our hotel. Amazing dinner. I had the Seitan Burger and my friend the protein power bowl. Would eat there often if we lived in Halifax. So sad that we are not residents. Go there if you want great vegan food. Will not disappoint! 😊😊😊

The absolute best restaurant in Halifax, bar none, and easily the best vegan restaurant in Atlantic Canada. We’ve been several times over the last few years and it is always perfection. Everything on the menu is great and this is one of very few places that I have to always get dessert. Lots of great options to suit all tastes and preferences.

Some kids get excited when their parents treat them to a happy meal from McDonald's, my boys cheer and consider it an awesome treat when we stop in or I bring something home from EnVie!!
We have tried so many of their incredible options and everything has always been absolutely delicious!!
This afternoon I stopped in and picked up green juice, kale cesar wraps and chocolate cookie dough balls and my oldest son, who just turned 5 last week, said 'Hooray, EnVie, I love their food way better than the food you make!' Although my first reaction was a little disappointed that he announced he doesn't like my cooking, I am happy that EnVie is such an amazing restaurant and take away shop that I would highly recommend to everyone as their food is so, so tasty and nutritious for your whole family to enjoy!! �

I just have to say that my father and i's experience at your restaurant was my best vegan experience at any restaurant to date. While I was very disappointed that you did not have the vegan poutine on the dinner menu, the charcuterie platter was absolutely amazing. Keep doing what you do and put the poutine on the dinner menu.

I am temporarily in Halifax for a course and had heard about EnVie! It did not disappoint and as a plant based restaurant owner myself, I thoroughly enjoyed my experience. The atmosphere was on point and cozy, the staff were friendly and fun, and the food was to die for. I had the pad Thai and the fun table of girls next to us convinced us to try the sticky toffee pudding for dessert...best decision ever! Way to go EnVie!

I’ve usually enjoyed enVie. We called in today and found out they had a new menu but I opted for a power salad from a previous recollection that it was a good choice. I was disappointed with my meal to say the least- it was largely a bed of mixed greens with a few pieces of tempeh bacon, almonds, and sliced apples. I requested the dressing on the side so I could control the amount. Dressing was great but the overall meal was not worth $14. Heartwood and Wild Leek certainly have a better bang for your buck.

While I rarely post reviews I think from time to time they are important to promote growth. I have been a fairly regular at Envie for at least a year or so . My last night's visit was not near up to the standard I have had in the past. 2 things, first the service was not what I am used to there and I made the joke to our waiter that I thought my friend and I were invisible with a chuckle. Secondly the new menu is a dramatic change from the former and while change is great the Tacos were flavorless and very wet/soggy, I would not recommend them. I was surprised that the main dishes were shortened and none really appealing to either of us compared to the former menu. The appetizers were awesome though I must say. My friend and I certainly wished we had gotten the pizza that was served to the table next to us because it looked awesome even though pizza is not a fave of mine. Some tweeks needed I feel to bring it back to its 5 Star for me, when going to dine and spend 90.00 on a meal I usually would be singing praises and planning what I'm going to have next time .

As a vegan there are very few restaurants that my mother and I can attend! We both work in healthcare and recognize the importance of a vegan diet for health and longevity. This is the only restaurant in halifax that offers all of the foods we love to eat without any animal products ! The food is excellent and we have so many choices as we both cannot eat dairy and this is in so many western foods. Thank you Envie for being a place we can go to dinner and not have to settle for the only single veg option on the menu a plain soup and garden salad. At Envie everything is delicious healthy and mostly local! An incredible business I will continue to avidly support forever! Rock on Envie !

Was there with the burger bus. Been here before and staff assigned to serve were great despite the large group at lunch rush. The Satan burger was good and the Tall ship beer was a good match. EnVie is always a good stop on the burger bus. Enjoyed the Whoppa better last year.

Upon entrance my fiance and I were delighted immediately by the pleasing aroma coming from the kitchen. With our appetites wet we were seated and served very quickly as were the other customers. The staff were very friendly and informative. The atmosphere was warm, cozy, and placid. We left feeling not only satisfied but like we had the pleasure of having indulged. Every bite had our taste buds dancing. We especially liked the take away items and brought home a few special treats for the kids to enjoy too.

This was my second time at EnVie and once again I was blown away! The costumer service is wonderful and the food is nothing but the BEST! I didn't have to wait long to get my food and it was absolutely delicious, so much flavor and very filling! I highly recommend going and trying the amazing stuff on the menu! Very pleased and will be visiting again :)

I am not a vegetarian or vegan but chose this restaurant to treat a friend visiting from Vancouver. The food was unusual and delicious. My friend had the "double cheeseburger with bacon" with some trepidation but loved it. Our server was so Nova Scotian - friendly and authentic. Complete success.
