Even though the place was packed and we were warned food wouldn't come for an hour, our server was prompt and friendly. Drinks always came quick and food came quicker than expected. Fish and chips were great and the curry mayo is divine!

One of the best all round pubs in the city. Great live music, a wide and fine selection of beers, including numerous local micro's, wholesome food and some excellent staff. Weekend brunch is a treat, with some major league breakfasts.

Server was spectacular. Food was awesome. Baccon wrapped scallops so yummy and the side tomatoe onion lettuce great with...the bread because the scallops were on it with the sauce not so yummy but all in all the music was good and space was clean people were smiling and having a good time. I liked it.

Oh my. I had the best time on Monday night at the Triangle. Dave & Louis were fantastic. Dave really is a "living treasure". Amazing fiddle/guitar player in the tradition and a heck of a nice guy to boot. Great beer coming off the tap. And met some new friends Monique and Colin who shared their amazing stories with me. I sure hope our paths cross in the future. Thanks for a memorable evening.

The bartender seemed out of place as she was too beautiful and refined, but hey, we all have our crosses to bear. The live entertainment said it was to be Irish music, but it was 10% Irish and the rest was classic rock. Good time had by all.

So good we came back twice! The food and service were absolutely incredible. We had the fish cakes, pastie and the pan fried haddock and everything was absolutely phenomenal. The mashed potatoes are cooked perfectly. A good selection of beers available. Our server Emily was an absolute gem and was super fun to chat with. We came back and tried the Guinness cake which was insanely good. Portion sizes are massive for everything. Definitely worth the stop!

Great bar that reminds me of a local pub back in Montreal! It's a little loud but then again it's a pub with music and people are having fun. The food is decent although my burger was a little dry and the Dublin pasties as well was dry. Drinks had been good so nothing to complain about that. The live singer was nice to hear ! The portions are just enough for me and my partner enjoyed her meal as well! Prices are dencent !

Friendly staff, amazing food, great atmosphere and awesome live music! Couldn't have asked for a better place to go during our stay. We met some amazing people here and shared great laughs. We had the fish and chips (best I've ever had,) the Ulster fry (my husband was thrilled to have a true taste of home with the black and white pudding,) lobster roll (twice,) and the seafood crepe was to die for. We also tried the Newfie fries, did not know that was a thing but man are we happy to know now. Aidan and Justin were great as was all the staff we met. Thank you for everything (and sorry we ordered so many Baby Guiness.)

It was the happening spot on a wet, foggy Saturday evening. Rugby was on, so it was a lively gathering šŸ˜€. Had spaghettini and it was goood šŸ‘šŸ¾. Just the right amount. Then had the Guiness Ginger cake with whiskey caramel sauce and served with 3 dollops of cream topped with blueberry jam. I never eat dessert but had to try this one and it didn't disappoint. Great pub and food. My partner had the Pan fried haddock with mash potatoes and the same decadent desserts.

Exactly what youā€™d expect from an Irish pub!Fun atmosphere, friendly service, booze and hearty food. We had a group of 4 (with a baby) and everyone had a good time. ā˜ŗļø They didnā€™t really advertise a lot of beers so canā€™t comment on the selection. But the propeller galaxy IPA was pretty good! In terms of food, I was quite happy with my fish and chips. Not the biggest portions, but tasty. Great chips and slaw too. Lastly, I think the ā€œsnugsā€ (ie private rooms) are really cool and would be fun for a night out with small group. Maybe next time!

I canā€™t stop thinking about the Caesar salad from here. Itā€™s pricey ($18 I believe with no chicken) but the croutons alone make it worthwhile. And the chefs mix in the perfect amount of dressing. Honestly the best Caesar salad Iā€™ve had in Halifax so far, and thatā€™s saying a lot! The atmosphere and service are both good too. Hard to have a conversation without yelling though; it can get quite loud in the evening

We were in Halifax for the day on a cruise and popped in here for some Poutine and a local beer which were both excellent. Service was excellent as well as the staff attended to what looked like a busy lunch service with the cruise ships in ports. Will return here if ever in Halifax again.

Made reservations for 6 people - table was set up & ready when we got there. One downside was, I booked here because we checked the menu online & my sister wanted the seafood linguine that was advertised for $20. She was very disappointed when it was No longer on the menu! She settled for steak. Others ordered pan-fried haddock, fish & chips, chowder but I think I ordered the best meal of all! I had the lobster & shrimp crepes ā€¦ Mmmm .. Delicious!!! Waitress was very friendly. There was entertainment but it started at 8pm & we left before that. Another downside, we brought in a birthday cake for someone in our party (purchased at Sobeys). We asked for a knife to cut it & were told because of Heath relations the waitress wasnā€™t sure if we could serve it to ourselves. She checked & a guy came out & said something similar about not being able to because of health inspector. Then as long as we could prove it was bought somewhere - then all of a sudden it would be ok for us to enjoy it but there would be a $2 / person plate charge. I guess the health inspector would be ok with us eating our cake as long as it was on the restaurants plate! We took our cake back to our hotel & enjoyed it there instead.

I love a pub that has live music playing, the loud buzzing chatter of happy customers, and the aroma of cooking food. Add in happy, friendly staff, good drinks and delicious food, it's an authentic Irish Pub experience you don't want to miss.

Great Ambience with live music performances(Plenty of seating space) and reliable, friendly service. The vegetarian burger was unfortunately not as good as my friend had hoped. Although I can definitely recommend their Footballs Club Sandwich. Dipping it in the hot sauce definitely made it not-so-crispy(to be expected) but the taste was fantastic. The cocktail was great, albeit very slightly on the expensive side. Can recommend if youā€™re looking for a nice-relaxing time with good food.

Service was good, waitress kept checking on us if we needed anything. Little bit of wait time since it was crowded on Friday night. Wings are a must try(5*). We ordered chicken n beef burgers, they were large and fulfilling in portion size, taste wasnā€™t so out of the world. I didnā€™t like the roasted potato sides personally. Overall, a bit expensive compared to few other places but the vibe is good.

Weā€™ve been in Halifax for a week and keep coming back to this spot. The live music at night is always fun and the food too! Itā€™s got a large patio outdoors and the service is always great. Weā€™ve had the mussels, liver and onions and the ploughmanā€™s platter. All delicious! Great local beer available as well.

We got to Halifax late and happened to stumble upon this place. We are so happy that we did. It truly feels like an Irish pub and we had the pleasure of a live fiddle player who was amazing to hear. The service was quick and friendly. Their food was rightfully so the highlight. Their fish and chips were so tasty and the fish was cooked to perfection with light battering. Their fried chicken sandwich was just as phenomenal. I will say I regret subbing the fries for Ceasar salad because it was drowned in sauce. Other than the salad though, I have no complaints. We had their gingerbread cake and my partner barley wanted to share with me, it was fantastic. I highly recommend having a meal here and enjoying the environment.

Excellent!!! Will miss this spot and consider relocating from Niagara Falls so we can visit and dine frequently šŸ˜‰šŸ¤© Fish bites blew our minds how good it was. We tried all three dips (curry mayo, lime aoili and tartar). Hard to pick a favourite. We had so much fun with the whiskey experience options; the Bushmills Beginning was luxe and delicious. We had a ploughmans lunch wirh beers and whiskey experience before our harbourfront walk. We loved this place so much we went back for dinner .... Even after viewing all the other options along our walk that afternoon.
