Review La Frasca Cibi & Vini - Halifax

So, I tried out La Frasca's appetizers, and wow, each bite was like a flavor explosion in the best way possible! The variety they offer is seriously top-notch. The person waiting on us was a total gem—smiling and super friendly the whole time. Only thing, though, the place could use a bit more lighting to set the mood better. But overall, La Frasca is a must-visit for foodies craving tasty dishes and a friendly vibe! Can't wait to go back for more!"

I loved the place itself and the ambiance. Service was impeccable, however, I must say that during dinner time it gets bit loud. I wish the atmosphere was more elegant and quiet as having a conversation with your loved one may be bit hard at times. Other than that we have had great time for our anniversary and food was amazing!

Well, where do I begin. Both the "front of the house" and "back of the house" absolutely shone. We were warmly greeted, and the wonderful atmosphere set the stage for a wonderful dining experience. We were told that every dish offered could be customized and to let them know if we had any allergies or concerns or questions. From the amazing appetizers to the final desert dishes it was amazing. Thank you for an wonderful dining experience.

Came here for my birthday celebration and right off the bat they accommodated us and sat us 20 minutes early. We sat at a cozy corner table and had excellent service. Food came out fast and tasted fantastic. They even packaged my leftovers for me. At the end, our server surprised us with a free sorbet dessert! Overall great experience and would definitely recommend.

Stumbled into this place on a whim and was very pleasantly surprised. Easily some of the best Italian I've had combined with a well curated atmosphere and good service! My only complaint was the embarrassingly small shell fish, the clams and mussels were SO tiny I started laughing

Second time there after our first bad experience. They were very genuine and concerned about our first experience. We were given a $50 gift card and the food was so much better. We started with GF bread, butter and garlic shrimp. My wife ordered their valley chicken and I ordered the lamb shank. I couldn't stop eating! The flavours made sense in each bite. The lamb was very tender and the chicken was seasoned perfect. Dessert was also very good! Creme Brule and Gelato for the win. I'm glad we went back to have a better opinion of this amazing restaurant

Food was pretty good - the noodles were a little overcooked, but other than that it was delicious. However, the quality food didn’t seem to match the high prices. The atmosphere was loud, which made it harder to have a conversation without raising your voice.

The food here is always amazing. Tonight, we ate the lamb with smoked mushroom risotto. The lamb was perfectly cooked, moist and tender, and the risotto was incredible. There was just the right amount of smoke flavour in the mushrooms, and the risotto was cooked and seasoned perfectly. The arancini is always great here, the beef carpaccio was excellent, and the server recommended dessert of bread pudding was incredible also. I need to give a special shoutout to our server (her name might be Elizabeth, it says that on the receipt, but I didn't catch her name from her). This place was busy on Saturday night, and I've pretty much resolved myself to expect poor, or at least slow service when a restaurant is busy. Elizabeth was absolutely amazing at keeping our water glasses full, and checking back in at the right times to see if we needed anything else, and brought the bill in good time when I requested it. So many times lately I've waited 20 or 25 minutes for a bill after finishing dessert, when I just want to leave, so between keeping the water full (I drink a LOT of water while I eat) and not taking forever with the bill, this made a huge positive impact on my experience at La Frasca. She is one of the best servers around anywhere!!

Delicious pasta with fresh seafood. Generous portions with reasonable prices and friendly service. Would highly recommend the lobster risotto and seafood linguine. Only complaint is that the tip option on the machine started at 18% for a group of 4 rather than 15%.

Great food. I had the French toast from the brunch menu. It came with fresh fruit and crisp bacon. My partner had steak and eggs and he enjoyed his food equally as much. The wait staff are excellent. We even had a chance to chat with management. I have never been at a place so invested in making sure their customers have an amazing dining experience. 10/10 would recommend!

Forget it! If you are in Halifax this is an absolute MUST dine spot. Service is the absolute best! Ask for Kosta he was funny, on point, and made great recommendations. The presentation and taste is seamless authentic quality. This restaurant has to be a top contender for best place in the city! Treat yourself or your loved ones to a dinner or lunch at this place. Bravo!

Absolutely fantastic. Arancini was great delightful gnocchi although paired with the beef I didn't care for the flavour combo. The tagliatelle as well as the macaroni and cheese is to die for. Another great restaurant in this restaurant family! And of course, great old fashioneds. Highly recommend both for atmosphere and food!

My daughter and I were there before attending Mamma Mia. We had the scallops (with pistachio crumbs) and mussels to start. Fabulous!!! I had the chicken ravioli & she had the shrimp. Excellent! Our “go to” restaurant when we’re in the city. What a treat! Also, the servers are top notch.

I really like this place. Pasta is great. Nice desserts. Lose a star because the music was too loud.

I absolutely adore this restaurant. From the atomosphere to the service and most importantly the amazing food and drink. Hands down the best calamari in the city.

I had the best dining experience of my life at Fresca last week. The kitchen staff is insane and their take on traditional meals is mind blowing. Best ribs I have ever had and I was torn between many different menu items so I will be returning to try them all. The charcuterie board is really well rounded and fresh. Every piece of food we had was amazing and the niece of dining room really adds to it. I really enjoyed myself. Kudos to the chef and the kitchen.

Enjoyed my fettuccine shrimp dish. Very friendly waiter. Great atmosphere but very loud.

Absolutely a must dine spot.. Reservations are a must as it gets full very fast. Food and people are amazing...

I've been here twice in the last week on a trip home from Calgary. Excellent service, and the food was amazing! Shout out to Jeremy for taking extra good care of us. He was our server on the first visit, and gave exceptional service. Our second visit, we had another server but when Jeremy realized she was a little busy, he came over and ensured we got started on our drinks, and was able to make some really delicious recommendations! Thank you!!! We will definitely be back!

We always love out visits to Frasca..we always sit at the bar, share an appie and indulge in a pasta .. our recent visit was no exception - the staff is just attentive enough...calamari was crispy and perfectly cooked... the risotto was outstanding...and we even shared the butterscotch creme brule... lovely wine and always perfect dinner....thank you

The aroma hits you when you walk in the door - true Italian goodness. The food is spectacular, the atmosphere warm and full of life, and the service timely/professional/and smiling. A great place to enjoy family over feast. My only regret was the amount of scallops in the linguine, maybe because I ate less all day to enhance my appreciation. Five stars nonetheless, hope to get back soon!

We were with our family to help us celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. The food and service were both superb.
