Awesome bubble tea. All tapioca made fresh in house! I've been to T-cozy, Chatime and others in Guelph, and the milk tea at Chao is by far the best and is imported from Vietnam! They have great food too with great quality for a good price!
Food is fresh tastes amazing I highly recommend this place. The bubble tea is amazing, they have homemade tapioca and fresh fruit for their smoothies.
This place is truly an unpretentious hidden gem that serves very authentic Vietnamese food. I have tried their Banh Mi and other Viet dishes and have never been disappointed.
I've been here multiple times and many times JUST for their freshly squeezed Sugar Cane juice (tip: Add pineapples)!
I was so glad to see they had Bo Ne (Sizzling Plate) on the menu! Bò né is Vietnamese Sizzling Steak and Eggs breakfast plate. It is Vietnam’s version of steak and eggs. Steak with generous amount of butter, eggs, pate and Vietnamese sausage on a sizzling plate in soy sauce and eaten with a baguette. This is the very few restaurants where I have seen this dish on the menu so I had to get it.
My partner and I came here because it was close to Royal Distributing. The food was so good, the bistro was really cute and cozy, and I'll be back to eat again. Also, I got to choose how sweet I wanted my smoothie. I'm not big on sweet things, so that was like the cherry on top. (:
One of the best restaurants in Guelph! The staff are super friendly and kind. The food is delicious, I love grabbing a sandwich when I’m in a rush or getting pho after a long day. 10/10 would recommend!

This place is a little out of the way but well worth seeking out. The food was delicious, service was very friendly and prices were reasonable. Lots of options on the menu. The pho, green curry and chao bistro salad were tasty. We will return.
Wow!!! Very good home made Vietnamese food and bubble tea. This is definitely a restaurant you want to try out. I was greeted by the chef even when I sat down and he recommended these wonderful dishes. The staff was very proffesional and polite. The pad Thai tasted so fresh! I've never had pad Thai like this. The steak and egg, medium rare, was cooked and seasoned perfect. The bubble tea was all organic and the jelly is made in house, tasted completely different to other places, very good. You can taste the passion and home cooked food here. Will definitely be back. Thanks chao Bistro!
Delicious mille crepe cake - I had a nostalgic craving and was very excited to try it. when i came to pickup I could smell them cooking so decided to get some bahnmis and bubble tea. And as it was so yummy, we ate it too fast to take photos!
Cutting the cake open at home I was very happy to not just enjoy how pretty it was but also the flavour it delicious - and not too sweet. Got tiramasu will have to get matcha next time...soon!
