I had the most amazing service at Planet Bean on Grange in Guelph last night. I accidentally dropped a teapot and shattered it in the middle of a business meeting (awkward!) and the two staff were so kind, helpful and truly friendly that I could not believe it. If you are looking for a genuinely welcoming and comfortable cafe experience I highly recommend this place, definitely will be back.
Following a feature story in The Globe and Mail and the report that JJ Bean is voluntarily extending Ontario's new minimum wage guarantee to it's BC cafΓ© staff, I rearranged my schedule to visit the St Clair Ave, Toronto location. I got a warm welcome, a thorough introduction to the brew-menu and an extraordinarily great cup of coffee. It didn't hurt that the graphic on the take-out cups is reminiscent of my home town or that a blend named "Railtown" seemed brewed especially for me!
Memo to The Palmerston [hometown] Railway Heritage Museum; you need to add this stuff in the gift shop.

This was my very FIRST visit!
I was up so early, for me, as I took the car away from my spouse. .......
It was my chance to visit friends, the mall , go to lunch, remember how to drive π π !
Anyway, the lady that made my mochachino was so delightful and chipper for 8:00a.m.
She was conversational and answered all the new customer type questions I had.
My coffee was excellent, not all foam, as some shops get away with, and piping hot!
I'd have to say, I'll be back to get another inspite of the hefty price, let's face it, hasn't everything that we want and kike jumped in price? INFLATION, and we know who to thank for a whole lot of that.....π€
So good! I love the treats and specialty lattes. The regular coffee is a bit so so but everything else is awesome including the service.

This is the coffee shop I can count on having enough seating in Guelph for a quieter conversation with my clients and business partners. Always enjoy a good cup of brew whether it is hot or cold. And I can't say enough about their vegan almond cookies.. a treat! Service is friendly, place is clean, easy access to parking. See you soon!
Friendliest people, most flavorful coffee with lots of variety of treats! These people are so considerate awesome that they even provide free menstrual products!
Such a cute spot! Very knowledgeable about their coffees and have lots of books for you to have a look at while you drink. They took a bit longer to make one of my drinks (Aeropress) and gave me a token for a free drink next time!
Almost tucked away, but right off of Grange, this Planet Bean location is popular with working groups, readers and coffee lovers.
The beans are roasted on site, and a window into the preparation area, affords visitors a look at the immensity of the equipment and the fascinating process of bean to delightful beverage.
The set up of the seating results in small nooks and seemed private tables. The environment is conducive to meetings with friends, to coffee bean appreciation, and of the efforts Planet Bean extends to be fair to farmers and local producers alike.
Great coffee, skilled baristas, yummy treats and eats, crafts / wares, community and more
Great coffee but please go back to making it for customers, almost 3$ for a coffee I gotta make myself π₯. Back to Tims I guess lol
