We would just like to tell everyone that this amazing small business on the Eastern Shore catered Gina Monk’s and Joe Dunford’s wedding here at our house on Friday in Murphy Cove. The apps were absolutely fabulous and the dinner superb. My sister Joan Fisher said 5 star! They gave us mega choices... as we are a vegetarian Gluten free lot ... so it was amazing. The salmon and pork loin were the carnivores choices and were devine. The two gals showed up, took over the kitchen around 3 and never looked back. Not only were the apps delish ... there were lots and they tried to make sure they offered everyone many times. When it was over they cleaned up, swept the floor, washed the counters, packed up, and disappeared. It was our first time ever dealing with caterers and I have to say it was the easiest thing ever. We highly recommend this lovely business. Their actual cafe in Grand Desert is one of our faves ..... if you haven’t been you’re missing out. �

This is my 'go to' bakery for Sunday brunch - the Eggs Benedict are the best in Nova Scotia and the coffee is delicious! In the summer you can sit out the back and watch the tide on the Eastern Shore. The service is second to none - very friendly and helpful. Oh, and I nearly forgot the Millionaire Squares - these are the only ones I've found in Nova Scotia that taste just the same as my mum's English recipe - addictive, for sure!
I miss the Rose and Rooster so much! Incredible coffee, delicious baked treats, amazing brunch, kid-friendly and in a gorgeous setting ta boot. I wish I could recreate it on the West Coast.
