Taste:4/5 Price:$$ Service:3/5
Not bad for a Chinese restaurant. Ordered a more traditional cuisine. Shredded potato with spicy and sour sauce, fish fillet with special spicy sauce and three kinds seafood with mixed vegetables.
The fish fillet wasn't exactly how it would taste of you were to go to a traditional Szechuan restaurant, but not bad.
Overall fairly good Chinese food.
Great Place to try Chinese for the first time. We stopped there hoping to eat great food. And well that was the case. Service was quick. Prices were reasonable. Also the staff was really friendly and interactive that increased the experience. Place was clean and hygienic. They even explain about the food if you any issues with meat or any other component. In the end they also give you a fortune cookie as a courtesy and that was fun. Should try if you are tired of eating your usual burger and sandwiches.
Kicking Horse Palace was perfect. I am a real fan of two things: lo mein and sweet and sour pork. This restaurant did an excellent job of both, as well as with everything that came with the dinner for two. Price was right where it should be, restaurant is clean, tidy and unassuming with very friendly staff. Come as you are, do not be disappointed. I'll make sure to stop here on my way through Golden again.
