Review Mcdonald's - Gatineau

This place absolutely exceeded expectations! As a low income family from Ottawa, we went to Lac Leamy repeatedly this summer, since it's cheap and beautiful. This July Sunday evening we happened to just stop by. As we entered, I expected what I would see at the McDonald's on Elgin in downtown Ottawa. But no, the atmosphere was similar to that of a high end restaurant. A woman was walking around, dressed more elegantly than the workers, who I assume was the manager. She would fill people's cups and go around very calmly greeting everyone and wiping the smudges from reflective surfaces. ALL the surfaces were free from finger tips smudges. Many workers were working there, and they spoke English well, assuring that you always got served. Very polite staff. Notably, the place was almost empty, and there still were many employees working. The system for receiving orders is absolutely phenomenal. A mix of high tech stuff and employees who even bring you your orders made everything smooth, efficient, and pleasurable. The staff was so nice that when I mistakenly paid 6 cents short, they did not mind it all. The interior of the building was beautiful, solid, and of high quality. The counters were not cheaply built, and the walls were not scratched or dirty. The presentation for the baked goods was excellent! They were held on classy wooden boards in a glass box with excellent stealth lighting. It looked as though they were freshly baked. The food actually tasted like something, unlike the McDonald's on Elgin St. I had the Quebec burger. It was handed to me before I could even walk over to my table. Overall, a great experience.

They put alot of chicken in my wrap! They forgot to give straws which is so annoying when you are on the go. The rest was delicious! I was not hungry for the fries since they put alot of chicken in the wrap. They were quick on serving the food! I'll definitely come back!

Service is fast and this establishment has to be one of the cleanest. The dining area is exceptionally clean and the garbage cans outside are never overflowing like at many other establishments. The nice outdoor patio is also a great addition.

Well, this one was weird. One day you get good food and the next day the old one. Service usually is good, but they have their times of lack of interest.

Came here to grab some of the cheap burgers during their promotion. Our son had the chance play in the playground too. Not sure they cleaned the playground last as it did seem to be dirty. Keep an eye out for that. Have been back. We were hoping for one of the summer deals of a $1 come. But they were out.
