Review Ben & Florentine - Gatineau

Very happy to get a table for two, on a busy Saturday morning. The service was very good, Very friendly, provided crayons & activity paper. The food was very good. My daughter loved the chocolate chip pancake. My eggs Benedict (bacon) was very good. We each had a smoothie (well priced! $6) Blueberry, and the green one was spinach, mango, apple... it tasted healthy lol Fresh for sure.

The menu is pretty darn massive and the food was delicious. Couldn’t ask for a better service. The staff is incredibly friendly and the service was considerably fast. Granted we did show up there at around 1PM so the restaurant was pretty empty. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a good brunch place and something not too expensive.

Nice friendly staff. Attentive service. Food was good, excellent quantity for price. We had the egg sandwich with avocado, tomato and chorizo (too mild & did not resemble the photo on the menu)- it was tasty but could have used a little hot sauce. Watermelon smoothie was mostly ice, tasty but not really a smoothie.

Good breakfast Good choices, too many choices of you being your daughters out for breakfast. Large portions and tasty. Make sure you specify how you want your eggs poached (light, medium) . They also have a loyalty card. We will be back

Wonderful atmosphere and beautiful decor. Very clean and modern. Ordered the Philly steak benedict. Was pretty good but not exceptional. Only major complaint was the food took a long time to come.

My friends and I went here this past weekend for breakfast. There were 6 of us plus 2 babies. We had a wonderful time having breakfast here. Our server (whose name I have forgotten despite asking her specifically for this review) was absolutely AMAZING. We requested for some alterations, substitutions, and additional items-& everytime she smiled and brought our request to reality. I wish I could get her name to really thank her. It was a name beginning with S I believe. She told us she barely spoke English, and we barely spoke French but she made it work with the English she knew. All in all, we loved her and she made this experience great for us.

I don't get out much anymore and when I decide a place is worth a second visit..this is it. It crushes Cora's on all accounts; for the same price. The breakfast is unique and delicious, the coffee always full, and the service is absolutely amazing. Special thanks to Maisha for making my day better.

I always go to this place during the weekdays . I love the service and very friendly staff . Food is very tasty and the presentation is not bad ! Smoothies are really good ! I heard during the weekends there’s a line up and it gets busy so your experience may be completely different if you go on weekends.

My favorite breakfast place. Bring back the halloumi. Only problem I have is the blueberries in the fruit always seem to be rotting or on the verge of rotting. The grapes also have been rotten lately, shriveled and/or completely mushed inside like they were frozen then thawed in my last 4 orders. Even when I ask to exclude those fruit they put them in and I always have some visibly shriveled almost like an F.U. to me for asking not to have rotten fruit..

We had the best breakfasts today April 9 th/2023 Easter Sunday. We were 8 all together. 2 chidren, 6 adults under the name of Sarah. The service was excellent. Friendly and professional. What a great time. Thank you.

This is my go-to place for breakfast in Aylmer. I've been often now and can report that the food and service is always wonderful. One of the best Benedicts in town and I love that they have fresh advocado available too.

Service was great and dishes are enough to fill an empty stomach.

We were there for breakfast with family....the food was amazing and so was the service. We will go there again and will recommend it to all our friends and family....we live in Orleans...the drive is worth it.

Super bon, j’adore le Ben et Florentine. Mais on a décidé de ne plus y aller, car le service est extrêmement long. On y est retourné par curiosité la semaine dernière, magiquement c’était bien. On y retourne ce matin, on s’est fait virer de bord par une serveuse en se faisant dire que l’attente est très longue... un mercredi matin. Bref, j’imagine qu’on va arrêter d’y aller, c’est toujours pareil après quelques années d’ouverture....

Love the price point. There is something for everyone on the menu. Skillets are great full of healthy ingredients!!

On a bien reçu notre groupe de 14 personnes mais par la suite ça s'est gâché. On a attendu environ 30 minutes pour prendre notre repas et un autre 30 avant de le recevoir. Plusieurs assiettes n'étaient pas exactement comme demandé et n peu froides. C'est regrettable.

Très bien! Beau menu diversifié, aliments frais et de qualité, toujours savoureux, j'y suis allé deux fois et y retournerai avec plaisir. Une jeune équipe qui perfectionne son exécution (Le Resto est ouvert depuis quelques semaines seulement). Une attention évidente à la satisfaction de la clientèle et à la rétroaction les guident vers le succès. Il y a une belle énergie dans ce commerce!

It took way too long to get our food - over 35 and the restaurant wasn't even full. The waitresses did their best but it was way too slow. This is the third time I go and there's been no improvement. Not sure I'll be going back.

Attente d’une 1 heure 15 minutes pour 2 déjeuners ordinaires. Raison évoquée: nouveau personnel dans la cuisine. On ne m’y reprendra plus.

Aujourd'hui était ma troisième visite à votre restaurant. Les deux premières visites étaient décevantes, mais nous avons décidés de donner une dernière chance. Le temps d'attente est ridicule, 1h avant d'avoir notre commande. Les serveuses doivent faire des smoothies en même temps que servir les gens, donc moins d'attention aux clients malgré elles. La nourriture est excellente ainsi que l'ambiance, mais c'est d'un ridicule que de faire attendre les gens plus d'une heure pour leur déjeuner. Très décevant

Went with my family. It was great the kids ate like little piggies. They loved all of the aspects of the place. The service was awesome. Will definitely be going again.

Took 15 minutes to be seated that was great however took 50 minutes before we got served they didn't warn us prior that there would be a delay give the customer the option if they want to wait it is Sunday however for me my husband has to go to work today so didn't have time to finish my meal took half of it to go eggs were cold the rest was ok our server was great but felt really bad for her seeing as she has no control over the kitchen first time there and last !!! There's other breakfast places !!! And looking at the other reviews it's not the first time there's a unacceptable wait time to get served 4 tables left while we were there very disappointing I was really excited to have a breakfast place near home

The food is good but the service is not good. Today they had a new server and for some reason you can feel the other staff member would not help the server. Which made our experience suffer. Waited 15 mins for a table. 10 mins for a server to give us coffee and order. Then 20mins for the food. They gave us 4/5 of the meals and missing sides. Some of the food was sitting and waiting to be brought to the table. The whip cream on one of the meals has began turning another colour. I could see the other staff members would help each other bringing food for other tables and cleaning each other’s table. For some reason they did not want to help him. Do not care why the staff is having problems but the should be professional. Not make the customers suffer.
