Ms. Waffle has an early hospital appointment, for which she had to fast for 32 hours prior. In solidarity, I didn’t eat in the morning either. I’m basically a White Knight. So we got on my horse and headed to the hospital. Once she went through the appointment, I had to feed her. How did I know? She had started gnawing on her arm.
Stopped by with my wife for supper earlier this evening. Jumbo Smoked Meat Platters (regular and old-style) were awsome. Just like we used to get at Chenoys on Blvd. St Jean, in Montreal. Our server, Malorie, was very pleasant, helpful and the service was great.
2 Jumbo Meat Platters with a 1L bottle of wine and tip $82. Not the cheapest meal around but it was GOOD!
Amazing Service. The staff and owner are all very friendly, attentive and hard working. The menu could be updated with some new plates but know that every time we go here, we're treated like familt. It is hard to find good service nowadays but Chenoy sets the standard very high! Thank you, for years of great service!

I chose this place because of the reviews. The decor is an interesting mix of retro déli and Applebee's, but it's the service and food that stand out. Our server was attentive but not intrusive, and dogs not judge is for our poor French. The food was excellent. My husband's bagel and smoked meat were clearly homemade and the hollandaise sauce on my eggs Benedict was smooth and light. Great music in the background, too.
I love Chenoys. Breakfast is perfect. always good, always fast, always not expensive. For supper the brochette is dellllllllliiicious.
Great ribs! A lot more meat on them than some other places, and the prices are great! Recommended for any time of the day( or night for that matter$
Had a very good lunch here. Service was good and good was as well. My wife and I split the chicken club sandwich with fries and the chicken kabob with rice, home style potatoes, and a small salad. My daughter had the kids cheese pizza and liked it, also came with a small ice cream for dessert. Would go back and eat here again.
The atmosphere, lighting and food was quite good. Alex, the waiter who served us was very friendly. However, the girl who received us and placed us at a table was not kind or friendly.
The price is a little above average compared to restaurants that offer breakfast but the food is worth it.
First of all, it's a diner so I don't think this is like any other restaurant I rate. But I've been here with my children twice now, and the service has been exceptional both times. It's a standard diner, if you like any good diner, you'll like this one. But why I'm coming back again is the staff.

I had an awesome dinner here with my boys. The food was great. The server was very very nice and she made some good recommendations. Have any of their salads. Super filling. Burgers were amazing and my youngest son ate a big meal for under 10$. We will go back for sure.
Stopped here with family and friends. Had the smoke meat sandwich with poutine and it was a huge portion. Everyone in our group tried it and we were very satisfied with friendly staff and food. Highly recommended.
Service and food was very good and not expensive. I had their smoke meat platter, my husband had the General Thao and daughter had the pizza and we were all satisfied with our meal.
We visited Nickels Deli Gatineau for breakfast I had the Philly Steak Eggs Benedict and converted the breakfast potatoes into Poutine with Hollandaise sauce and a side of sausage. My friend had the Western Omelette with Breakfast potatoes. The food was delicious served hot and on time and the waitress polite, courteous and pleasant to deal with. The place was clean and the employees keep it nicely sanitized. I would definitely recommend this location for a meal.
