Review Allo Mon Coco - Gatineau

Great place! Tried it for the first time this weekend. Great service and lots of choices for breakfast and brunch. We tried the good morning Coco breakfast. Perfect mix of savory and sweet. Two halves of cinnamon bun with egg, bacon, eggs and fruit and creme fraiche. Includes coffee and toast. Very generous portions. We were seated right away but it's very popular and there was a long line when we left. Very reasonable prices for the various meals. We will be back.

Food top quality as always, excellent service, got great laughs and an amazing time. Would go again

My favorite breakfast place, with wide varieties and delicious food, and excellent service; even though I don’t speak French but got my way around; our waitress was friendly with a big smile.

We decided to give Allo Mon Coco another try after leaving Cora Dejeuner, they hadn't tended to us after sitting for 20 minutes, so we came here. Our server, who kind of resembled Letty from Fast and Furious had excellent bilingual service skills, we were promptly offered coffee and shortly after we ordered the breakfast, she kept the coffee coming while we waited for the food and was super friendly. Overall the food and presentation was very good. I'm glad we ditched Cora and went to Coco, what a life saver :). Have a great day guys and keep on keeping....

📍Allô Mon Coco ⭐️9/10 Maybe it was just our bad luck with food during our trip to Ottawa, but the discovery of this place in Gatineau was a blessing! All of the food was amazing with even better service. No other breakfast chain we've been to compares! Aside from the main dishes, highlights were the mashed potatoes and the perfectly toasted English muffins. Each plate also comes with fruit which is a refreshing addition. Also leave a comment if you have any restaurant suggestions for next time in Ottawa (we could really use it)! Absolutely delicious we went for breakfast and everything was delicious, service was very quick they have lots of breakfast options everything looked fresh we will definitely be going back three thumbs up

Greeted with a smile, all staff were friendly and looked happy to be there. Our server was friendly. Food was good. Eggs Benedict with tomatoes, & goat cheese (vegetarian) with Hollandaise sauce was very good. The portions are WAY too big, I took 1/2 my meal home. Latte was good, but again WAY too large - served in a large soup bowl. Would I return? Yes. Would I share a meal? Yes.

Food was OK. Ordered a casserole (breakfast). Cheese wasn't melted properly, hollandaise sauce was kind of cold and overly thick. Service was awesome but it was expensive for was it was.

We don't do a ton of brunches and very few of them stand out. But this one does. I'll admit we got lucky, as last time we had to wait 45 minutes, but we got in right away and our waiter Gabriel presented very quickly. Neither of us was sure what we wanted exactly, and Gabriel made some great recommendations, especially considering I’m a vegetarian and my partner doesn’t eat pork. I was given a recommendation by Gabriel for the grilled veggie casserole, which delighted me with its variety and novelty. As for my partner, he told Gabriel what he wanted to end up with, and he made it happen. According to my partner, the beef salami was tasty, the banana pancakes were a thrill, but the highlight was the mashed potato dish. We don't know what they used to season them, but they were divine. Overall I have to say this is at least one of the best, if not THE best, brunches we've ever had. Âllo Mon Coco is now on our radar the next time we’re in Gatineau!

Our server was Megane, Service was great. She knew we weren't French speaking as soon as we began and helped us with the menu and ordering items. She gave good advice on dishes and didn't skip a beat on refills and checking up to see if we needed anything. Absolutely amazing service. Venue is clean and really nice. Whisks as a chandelier is a fun touch. The portions are HUGE and the price is great for the quality of the food we got.

AMAZING food and staff! Kind and quick! Only problem is they often give you water with no ice so make sure to ask for ice or you'll get warm water haha. Sometimes it's very busy and service can take a while but other times it's perfect. Depends on the person, time, day, etc. Warning: it is always very very warm and very very loud in there even when not as busy.

Great service and food. The wait time to get in was quite long, but understandable since we were a party of 11. They split our group up which is something to keep in mind if you are a larger group, but we totally understood why due to the current circumstances. Ordered breakfast (Eggs benedict with philly steak) and it was great. Good pricing, great taste, and strong service. I know some French which made it easier to eat at this location, but the staff is also adequately fluent in English to provide good service for those who cannot speak French. Overall, long wait, but no complaints! If you're in the area for breakfast don't hesitate to try this Allô Mon Coco location.

The location is great. Lots of parking and you can go shopping afterwards. We have been here on multiple occasions and they always empress. the staff is curtios and responsive to our requests. I recommend them.Please like this review if you read it. Thank you and have fun.

Fantastic food and menu options, sadly both of our food was cold when served to us. Partner does not reccomend the eggs Benedict, he says the hollandaise sauce was very watered down and had next to no flavor

My favourite breakfast place in gatineau! We had to wait in line but not for long. We got mimosa samples while waiting which was nice. Service was really fast from the waitress to the chef and it was super busy! Only one entrance from the inside. Food portions were amazing (it is bigger than it looks in pictures). I had to take half of my meal home. The food tasted so good. I'm coming back for sure.

One star for me, service was poor, food was cold!!! They gave the plate to one of the person in our group and then me and my girlfriend waited 15 minutes for our plate!!! Not impressed!

We took our 18 month old there in hopes of enjoying a Sunday breakfast together. The food took more than an hour to arrive, and it came cold. At that point too we had to leave because the baby was restless. When we asked to speak to the manager she basically told me I was trying to get a free meal, even though she saw both of our plates still full. All in all just an ugly experience, they have a monopoly for breakfast in the mall and they will treat you like you're just another number. Many other tables around us had the same long wait and poor experience. Don't go here, there are so many better places on Greber, tres pourrie Coco!

C'est un beau resto, bien aménagé, très propre. Pour jaser, c'est un peu bruyant par contre. Les repas sont généreux au niveau de la portion et alléchant autant pour les yeux que pour la bouche� . Le service était bien. Par contre, au départ, malgré ma tolérance et patience, j'ai eu droit à une petite attitude de ma serveuse au niveau non-verbal car j'ai dû demander ma première tasse de café 2 fois. Le tout s'est vite résolu et ma serveuse m'a offert un service irépprochable par la suite. Bref, bonne bouffe et bon service, j'y reviendrai�

Best traditional Canadian breakfast I ever had. Service was exceptional food quality top notch. Prepare to wait and enjoy the journey, it is not fast food. Bringing friends with me next weekend.

Je suis allée manger au resto de Gatineau la semaine dernière avec mes enfants - Nous avons été assis au bar. Mes enfants ont adorés. La commande pour les breuvages a été prise très rapidement, et aussi apportée très rapidement. Assis au bar, nous avons tout de suite pu remarquer que vous compostez ! Pas de nourriture à la poubelle ! WOW ! :) La commande pour nos repas aussi a été prise rapidement, et mes enfants ont reçu leurs assiettes en un temps record - ils en revenaient pas eux-mêmes. Vraiment bien. Moi par contre, j'ai attendu très longtemps, et je ne comprends pas ce qui a pû être si long, j'ai commandé un ''MAMIE'' - coupe de fruits, yogourt et bagel. Honnêtement, j'avais bu mon café, picossé dans les assiettes de mes enfants, et je n'avais plus faim quand c'est arrivé.... j'ai tout partagé avec mes enfants. Facture -- je ne comprends pas trop - ma fille avait 1 seule rôtie dans son assiette, et mon fils 2... j'en ai donc demandé d'autres et on me les a chargées ! Assiette de mon fils, 1 oeuf, 2 ingédients - il a demandé bacon & saussisse - on m'a chargé un extra pour la saussisse !

NEVER going there again! They mixed up our family for another at the waiting line so we had to wait an extra 20min which we had already been waiting for 35min. We finally got our seats. I ordered a breakfast poutine with NO MEAT and specified that I was a vegetarian and wanted absolutely NO MEAT. When I got my meal there was meat in it, the waitress took it back and came back with another one. I started eating it and a few bites in, I noticed pieces of meat in it. I explained to the waitress my problem and she was very sorry and felt horrible. She came back with a second breakfast poutine and again, after a few bites, I found pieces of meat. We asked to speak to the manager since we didn’t want to pay for it. The manager was not considerate at all and didn’t even care. She told me that they made 2 poutines for me and I did take a few bites so she was going to give me 50% off and it was a “win win” since I had a few bites and she didn’t lose any money. My husband, me and my sister were all trying to explain that it wasn’t a “win win” since I ate something that I specifically said I didn’t want too. She then said that she was nice with us in line and she gave a toast to our kids since they were getting hungry and inpatient so we should forget about the mistake they did. I told her it didn’t matter since this was a different issue. She then pointed out that on the menu (at the bottom) it said that the “potatoes may contain bacon grease”. I then explained that it wasn’t just grease but PIECES OF MEAT, which I had showed the waitress and she did confirm that it was indeed meat. The manager then told us that the potatoes are cooked on the same grill as the meat so it’s not possible to have it 100% no meat. So I then told her that they should change their specification on the menu and when a customer specifies that they’re VEGETARIAN to let them know that the potatoes are cooked on the same grill. We ended up not paying for the poutine. But it took us soo long to explain and argue with the manager who was not professional at all and very inconsiderate. Never again will I go there and I do NOT recommend this place.

Excellent service. La nourriture vraiment bonne et très grosse portion. C'est vraiment un bon ajout a Gatineau surtout pour les heures d'ouverture du restaurant !

We took both of our boys here on the weekend (4 and 8 years old) and it was amazing food! You can tell they are still working out some kinks service wise, but that is understandable for a new restaurant. There is a lot of choice (I would also say too much choice) and the portions are huge. I was a little disappointed to see that my kids meals were almost 9 and 10$ (we thought in the menu it said 6$ something but we could be wrong) plus an additional 1$ for chocolate milk. Makes for a pricey childs meal, but my youngest, who eats like a bird at each meal, ate 3/4 of his crepe with strawberries (and also one of my toast) which is showing how good their food really is. A+ we will be going back for sure (maybe even this weekend!)

Delicous choices and friendly accomodating staff. I don't eat pork for reasons I will not explain, and I enquired if the hash browns had any pork which it does, they promptly offered me pork free potatoes and cheerfully kept my coffee full.

Tellement déçue! Il manquait le bacon et le creton de l’assiette de mon chum. (Creton plutôt ordinaire d’ailleurs). Il y avait genre une bouchée de fèves au lard dans le plat. Pas de fruits dans mon assiette, pourtant la serveuse m’avait confirmé qu’il y en aurait. Et les patates! Trop salés, un hybride entre des patates fricassées et pilées. � Tout ça pour 40$! Plus jamais on ne m’y reprendra!

Beau resto mais très déçu. Un déjeuner pour moi et ma fille se 4 ans 32$. Je trouve ça vraiment cher. Fais froid dans le resto et j'ai reçu mon déjeuner et j'ai du demander le bol de fruit à ma fille plusieurs fois avant qu'elle le reçoive.

Service rapide et efficace pour notre part. Beaucoup de choix sur le menu. Banquettes confortables. Bouffe très correct. Prix comparables à Cora et autres endroits spécialisés pour les déjeuners.

Première visite chez vous aujourd'hui. Nous avions comme serveuse, Marie-Ève Rousseau et avons reçu un excellent service, merci ! Les portions sont généreuses et la nourriture est fraiche et excellente. Merci et à bientôt ��������

J'ai adoré mon repas! Pas eu la chance de finir mon assiette! La crêpe aux fruits avec crème anglaise et 2 oeufs et toasts, bacon, patates et fèves aux lard.

Super choix de menu, la nourriture était très bonne. Malgré que la serveuse était très gentille nous avons attendu plus de 1 heure pour notre déjeuner (un mercredi matin à 10:45!), 2 adultes- 1 enfant. Mon mari avait une grosse craque dans son verre. Leur concept de 2 entrées est un peu weird puisque les gens attendent moins sur un bord que l'autre. La facture 50$... un peu intense! Je dit pas qu'on y retourneras pas, mais faut juste pas que tu sous pressé!

30 minutes d'attente c'est vraiment trop long.... de plus que j'ai compté 7 serveurs(ses) qui allaient long en large les mains vides. je n'y retournerai pas de sitôt!
