I love this place. Whenever I'm in Forest I try to stop by. Delicious food, good prices, great service. And ... lots of gluten and dairy friendly options. Forgot to take a picture before starting this meal, but the gluten free flatbread was AMAZING!.

What a lovely place to come across during a hike around Forest. Just around the corner from the parking lot for the Grand Trunk Trail. Great coffee, Hot and chilled. Muffins and dessert items. Lovely assortment of vegetarian options. London Ice Cream Company served here. Well set up at the door for takeout. All containers were recyclables and decomposing materials including paper straws. Looking forward when we can go in and order. Looks like a small and quaint spot. Limited hours, so check before going. Menu available online. Thank you for a lovely late afternoon lunch.

Craving a milkshake while we were camping at The Pinery, but NOT a McDonald's type...and then we came across Java and Scoops and the milkshake heavens opened! Old-fashioned, thick, creamy and delicious. Also paper straws!! Yay!! (And their vegetarian sandwiches were equally delicious)
Let me start by saying, I haven't got the full experience of Java and Scoops. We simply just went there and got a dessert square. The only one they had was a peanut butter, chocolate, oat square and it was so creamy and delicious.
Their Covid-19 protocol that they do is top-notch. You order at the door and then wait. Their area inside seemed to be quite narrow so this makes sense.
We plan to go back at some point and try some of the delicious meals they have. And of course another dessert of some sort. Vegan options available here as well. Bonus!
