The Porch Light is a must-visit bar for evening cocktails. We spent two days in Elora and ended both our nights with after-dinner cocktails here. Josh was an amazing bartender. His service was friendly and accommodating. His bartending was crafty with an emphasis on fine details such as using the ideal fragrances, garnishes, and glassware for his cocktails. Josh and Kenton went above and beyond in providing honest recommendations for things to do in Elora which was much appreciated (and on point).
All in all it was good, yet not great. The Kitchen was closed when we arrived as they were switching menus, which would have been okay as we were offered Olives and Bread to tie us over until they were ready. Which we thought was complementary, as we had to wait and were not told there was a charge as we hadn't even seen a menu. Then Beer was not cold, almost warm and the response was, oh sorry, it was just put in last night and takes time to get cold. The Spinach dip was good, yet the portion for the price didn't seem justified
Such a cool atmosphere! If you're looking for a cute spot with good food to hang out and have a few drinks, this is it! Also the new menu is so good, and vegan friendly!
The food and service were both exceptional! The wait staff offered recommendations and even told us about how some of the food is sourced locally within town. The location of this restaurant is also beautiful. If you can, sit outside and eat and you will be able to soak in the sights of the main street hustle and bustle of Elora.
It's a chilled out bar. Josh was a nice attendant. They are very friendly and accommodating.
They have ONLY tacos. But really yummy ones. Cocktails are below average. Don't order. Hehe.
Mark was absolutely charming! The drinks were crisp, the garlic scapes were delicious, the ambience was unparalleled.
