I have now found a third place in Alberta with proper poutine! One in Calgary where I live, one in Canmore and now Dixie Lee in Edmonton.
They have italian poutine and galvaude so they know their stuff! I've never found these two classic variations anywyere in Alberta so far. 20 years and nada.

I like going to Dixie Lee, especially to pick on the owner! He's got a great sense of humour. Him and his staff go above and beyond to make sure you get the best food and service there is to offer in the restaurant/take out industry. I like there food and they keep the place very clean too! I would recommend Dixie Lee Whyte Ave to anyone out there suffering from hunger right now! Keep up with the great work!!! A+

Chicken is super yum! Seafood poutine and garlic finger is like heaven! Best thing i've tasted! No wonder we are there almost every week :) good job for the service too! :) always will keep on coming back :)
This is the best take out or restaurant in Edmonton by a long shot
The staff is so nice. They're always smiling and laughing. You can tell they really take pride in what they serve too. The fish is battered perfectly and their shrimp is some of the best I've ever had.

Loved the pulled pork poutine! Was my first time there with co-workers.
I really enjoyed the fish and chicken, nice and crunchy. I especially liked the side salads. I'm really excited to go back and try the poutine!

Today was opening day so I expected to wait a while.. I ordered the fish and chips to go and I have to say it was the BEST battered fish I've ever had! I'm looking forward to going back to try their chicken and poutine. It looked excellent!
