When I go to King's my tail wags from great joy from the vast amounts of food I eat. I am only 12 lbs but I always feel like I eat my weight. Sometimes I sit at the window and bark because I am so happy. I am happy due to the tom yum soup. 5 paws out 5.
With new management and a new cook this place is awesome now!!!! Broth is best in the city. New wait staff are pretty good and attentive.!! Also many sauces to choose from. Would recommend.
I really enjoyed it here. I went here on a weeknight and it wasn't busy at all so the service was great. They have almost everything you could ever want from a hot pot place and the food seems very fresh. They offer a good selection of soups (you pay extra $2-2.50). The place was also very clean and spacious! I like how their seats are couches (not just chairs haha). They have a KTV at the back but we didn't try it ... maybe one day.
Pricing is about the same as other hot pot places for AYCE. It comes up to be around $30-32 per person. I'd say if this is accessible to you, it's a nice change from the usual hot pots in chinatown!
The best hotpot place in Edmonton. The servers are friendly, the chicken broth is my favourite (and it's free), I love the beef and the oysters, the veggies are super fresh, my favourite is their house made fish and shrimp paste. It tastes so fresh. The best part is, after you're doing eating, you can just walk to the back and sing karaoke. And the sound system at their KTV is the best I've ever heard. This place is definitely a must go!!!
Great addition to Jasper Gates, this place is thrilling & excellent. Brand spanking new, friendly, and well just so delicious that I had to give it a high rating. I ordered the spicy broth, and I was not disappointed--only order this option if you do like it hot, I know so many places in Edmonton that say spicy and are not. So pick 4 of your favourite proteins or veggies (they do provide a nice big selection of greens to simmer with the bowl already) , I chose shrimp, noodles and wontons. My husband went silent over his squid tentacles out of reverence. I can't recommend this place enough--so nice to see Edmonton burgeoning & blazing in the food scene. I hope this place is on the map for all of NW Edmonton. P.s.--many non-spicy broths are equally delish, I just happen to like it that way.
This hot pot store is probably the best one I've been to! The green onion cakes are absolutely delicious and all the meat and vegetables are really fresh! The servers there are very nice and caring, providing the best choices for each meal. The surrounding is decorated very appropriately, every time I eat there, I feel very welcomed and soothed. The KTV is about to open and I can't wait to visit it! I recommend doing some research before coming here because of the unique way of eating the hot pot!
I thought it was a good experience, food was tasty, portions were descent and the price was just right for the lunch special of 12.99. Not sure why the first reviewer had such a negative experience, I don't write reviews often, but I wasn't expecting very much after reading her review and entering this eating establishment. However, overall I thought it was pretty good For the price.
