Small place that seems geared towards takeout, but I prefer dining in for Vietnamese. The interior isn't going to blow you away, it's about as comfy and inviting as a typical fast food place.
I've tried two dishes: Beef and Broccoli, and Shrimp Pad Thai.
Both were reasonably good, I do wish there was more veggies in the Shrimp Pad Thai though. The prices are a step up from other places I've tried, so the food really needed to impress me.
The lady was quite friendly. She asked me if I had been there before, and what I ordered last time I visited. She checked how I was doing and what I thought of the food. No problems with the service!
Had the service been poor, I may have considered not coming back and just going to Mucho Burrito. But she made enough difference that I'll stop in occasionally when I'm in the area!
Vietnam Noodle Soup & Chicken Chowmein are taste very good. I will recommend people going there for sure, people are also friendly.
Consistently excellent food and service! So happy to have found this gem for my vietnamese food cravings. I wish it was located on the southside of Edmonton...closer to me!
My parents found this place...how I have no idea. They said everything was delicious...so we went to check it out. They were right! I had the 4 color: lots of cucumber, carrot and peanut (which you never see!) As well as basil, two spring rolls, three shrimp, and generous portions of grilled beef and pork. The fella had the ginger beef which was a good portion, super crispy and good spice level. (FYI if you like spicy you can ask them to "spice it up"). The green onion cakes are fluffy yummies.
All in all very good and next time I'll try Pho!
Absolutely delicious. Portions are family size but they are willing to make combos with rice for single serving (but you still have leftovers). Some of the best ginger beef I have had. Great service and great food
I personally like this place because it's decently fast and good Vietnamese food. I went two times in a week simply cause I didn't feel like cooking, and I thought I might as well give the other stuff a try since it was good the first day. I do admit that one thing that bugs me is the fact that it is "Nam Kitchen Express" and not Nam's... I feel like it should be a possessive kinda thing unless it's just short for VietNAMese food? I am curious about this! Anyway, as mentioned my pictures are usually for the horizontal eye - I have a tendency to take things horizontally, and haven't figured out the rotate thinger yet... This is the spring roll, grilled pork and sausage (I added sausage) vermicelli. This one was soooo good. I loved this. It's the fried rice with crispy deep fried chicken. I have to say that I was a big fan of this because the chicken wasn't super oily (I was totally ex
