If you are going for crab legs on Friday then I would rate this place a 5. Every other day is meh. The service is awesome, they are very attentive. Crab legs on Friday is amazing and this price can not be beat. The quality is amazing.
I had the pleasure of entertaining a group of 7 people for brunch at this restaurant. Although I live near the River Cree Resort, I had not up until now attended. We had the brunch and were seated at 11:30am. They do not take reservations so we had to arrive early to be guaranteed seating.
All 7 of us thoroughly enjoyed our meal. There was an immense variety of food, all exquisitely prepared. The service was also exceptional and rivaled that which we received on cruise ships. The price of $30.00 person is reasonable, especially if one considers the high quality of food and service. We will definitely be going back.
Good Seafood for the Price. We went here during the Christmas break for the Seafood Buffet. For $25 a person, it was a good deal. I hope you like crab legs. On the downside, we waited 90 minutes for our table AND the entire place reeks of cigarette smoke. We were able to have drinks in the casino while we waited, but if you bring kids there's no where for you to go. Because of the smoke and I don't gamble, I probably won't be going back.
Always excellent. Im talking about the sunday brunch and prime rib night , the service is always fantastic quick and friendly, if u want something just ask and even if its not in the buffet they will try to get it for u , brunch is amazing prime rib , rack of lamb , crepes waffles , sometimes sushi or tataki it is one of the best places ive hit up in edmonton
There is a reason it's gone downhill. First of all, it's as good as any other other buffet and my reason for writting this isn't to critique the place. I don't like casinos but I have been here more than once for various events. The buffet might not be as good as it was and the prices and specials might not be as good either but I can see part of the reason why. On two separate occasions I witnessed people litterally stealing food and sneaking it in to their own containers at their tables. This happened at a breakfast buffet and a dinner buffet. Obviously, these people figured it's OK to steal food and although there may be other underlying issues why levels of service change there's no doubt that these pigs are at least part of the reason. I'm sure staff has witnessed this but the nature of business is they can't defend themselves because the customer is always right even when they're dirtbags like these people. You can't run a business to it's potential when people are acting like this.
There isn't a huge selection but the food is excellent. I have become a regular at this restaurant.
BBQ Dinner Buffet on Wednesday. Went with my co-workers on Wednesday, had the dinner buffet. The beef & pork ribs was really good. Tender fall of the bone good. There pasta with Rose' wasn't bad either. Will definitely come back.
The shrimp ginger dumplings were fantastic!
A mixed bag - closest you can get to a Vegas buffet in Edmonton.. Well, I speak in terms of the style and decor and selections in the restaurant. There is no doubt that you can find better hotel buffets in Edmonton, but I assure you that none of them will give you that Vegas feel...
The food - well, the food all looked pretty amazing but they lack personality in the taste department. The crab legs were small and salty (cold), the jambalaya was just carbs and boring sausages and seafood mashed up together, and the roast beef just doesn't taste good at all... think Shaw Conference quality.
What is awesome about this place is the basa fillets, the spinach salad with diced mandarin oranges, the desserts, and the odd chicken souvlaki skewers.
I think the only thing that makes this place worthwhile is if you go for the Sunday brunch. The freshly made omelettes are out of this world. But it will cost you an arm and a leg...
Went for breakfast, price was reasonable and excellent quality and service. May not have the biggest selection but they sure make up for it in the quality of the food.
Buffet dinner great value. The prime rib buffet was delicious, and especially so since it only costs $16 with a sign up for a free membership card (took 5 minutes). The prime rib was very tender and well cooked. The ratatouille, salmon in cream sauce and shrimp were also delicious. The servers were attentive and fast. I would come back again anytime, especially since they have New York strip loin buffet on Tuesday nights!

Great buffet!!! (never tried the seafood buffet like other reviewers... Only place I ever had good seafood buffet is Vegas). Prime rib buffet is delicious!!! Sign up for the players card (it's free) and you'll pay a few bucks less for the buffet. This buffet is not overwhelming in options... Just the perfect assortment of dishes. Great dessert. Beverages included. Very courteous staff. Check the website for nightly buffet. I know Thursday is prime rib night :)
Awesome Brunch. Go here for the brunch.
Its a different "feature" everyday, but the day I went it was the "rack of lamb"
Omelet station, waffle station, and a plethora of other breakfast commodities.
I can't really comment on the precooked food, but it was above average at best (ie bacon, sausages, potatoes ... etc.)
But the omelet station was my favorite. I constantly frequented it, and the omelets are made to order, and you can add basically anything you want to it.
The rack of lamb available that day was surprisingly good and the waffles were also in a world of their own.
If you have room, they offer some good desserts and fruits to polish off your meal.
This place will make you bloated, and don't be surprised if you feel that you no longer need to eat for the remainder of the day.
Service was fair, seeing as all they had to do was essentially clear your plate, and replenish your juice/water/coffee.
Before going here I recommend getting a free players card, because it will give you a 15% (I think) discount.

I love seafood and sometimes I get the worst cravings for crab that the imitation sticks just aren’t able to sate. So when my friend told me the River Cree’s Kitchen Buffet and Bistro had a seafood buffet on Tuesdays and Fridays, and that they offer all-you-can-eat crab legs for only $25, I figured we should probably check it out. If you’re close to the Henday, it’s extremely easy to find, located just off of Whitemud East on the outskirts of Anthony Henday Drive. I hadn’t been to the River Cree in years, but it didn’t seem like much had changed. We went on a Tuesday and, while the casino itself was steadily busy, Kitchen was completely empty for the first hour or so of our visit. Our waiter was friendly and very attentive (perhaps too much so, for a buffet-style restaurant), continuously checking on us for drink refills and taking away our dirty plates. I’m always a bit wary of buffets, which have a tendency to offer old, bland food and very little actual variety (I exclude Pampa’s sa
