Spinellis does have good sandwiches but I feel like they get a lot more hype than they are worth. I kind of gave them an extra star because they have been around for a very long time and they are very well known and always use fresh quality ingredients. Everyone I know absolutely loves this place but I personally do not. I’m very sorry to say that I do like their sandwiches but I would never go out of my way to drive there just to get one. But I am only one person and they are always completely packed every time I drive by. So try for yourself
If ever in the area of 95st and 105ave (aka little Italy) a visit to Spinellis is a must. Right in the back corner by the deli you will find pre-made subs/sandwiches in a cooler in your choice of hot/mild. 3 meats (capicolo, mortadella, and I think salami) topped with generous serving of provolone. Add some anti pesto on a footlong baguette. Great value...enough to feed 2 for lunch. Quick and easy.
Great place to grab a coffee, baked goods, and hang out. I love the general ambiance here as the people that regularly come here and staff are very friendly and warm. I like how I can do my grocery shopping at the Italian Centre then relax next door at Spinelli's. They serve made-in-house sandwiches, pizzas, salads, Italian pastries, and more. They also have hot and cold drinks such as coffee, lattes, Italian sodas, and more. Every time I come here I feel like I'm hanging around happy, personable, and warm people. Always a good experience here
Very good lunch place. Prices are very reasonable for everything that we've had here, the coffee is both good and cheaper than a number of places in the city. The only issue with it is space, but overall I'm generally fine with this. Definitely should go there!

As an Italian it is wonderful to find this gem attached to the Italian Centre Shop in Edmonton. Some of the best coffee we've had in Edmonton, excellent pastries and a good atmosphere with enough space for the kids to sit without bothering others too much.
Today is cappuccino served extra hot with pizza for lunch. Crust is thin and crispy. Enjoyed my stop.
My favorite location. Italian food, flare and families with my other passion great cars parked out front. Enjoyed an espresso or a cappuccino and a pasty over a football game ( that means soccer) with Italian conversation all around me. And at a great price.
A true Edmonton treasure.. I love this place for so many reasons. I like to get a lot of my groceries from the Italian centre and so I'm here maybe twice a week. Both the grocery store and the caffe have so much character, it's a shining example of the rich and diverse culture Edmonton has to offer.
But, I want to focus on one thing in this review: The pizza. In my opinion it is, hands down, the best pizza in the city. (And I am someone who has spent more time than is healthy obsessing over good pizza.) The crust is light and tender with a thin, crispy shell that is perfectly charred. The sauce is bright and flavourful, tasting of good tomatoes rather than herbs and spices. The cheese is creamy and molten without being browned. The meats and toppings they use are high quality. Hot from the oven it is a thing of beauty. Neither New York nor Neapolotian, it is nonetheless authentically Italian. This is the essence of what pizza should be. And, at $11 for a whole pie it is undoubtedly one of the best deals to be found in this city.
Sat down and had an Americano, and thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere. What nice place, and a great set of pastries/snacks. I look forward to trying the pastries next time. Shopped next door and picked up some cheeses and chocolates.
Great, the only complaint would be some of the staff.
Best pizza in edmonton including price. Freshest ingredients all for 11 bucks a pie.
Always make this one of our stops when in Edmonton.
