Review Chili Hot Pot - Edmonton

Adam
Great place for all you can eat hotpot. Small venue but it's popular and always packed with customers. It was a bit cramped for my likeness but the atmosphere was exciting. Got to talking with some tables close by and got a good idea of what to expect portion-wise and they were generous. Huge selections of broth and it was almost overwhelming as I couldn't narrow it down to just 2. Meat and veggies were plentiful and great quality and served by a robotic disco cat. Service was spot on and very attentive. My only complaint was the sauce bar, while the selection was vast and well stocked, they had an employee building your dipping sauces. Not that it was a huge problem, it's just that they didn't understand how I liked my proportions and they couldn't get my recipe quite right. Regardless, I'll be coming back regularly. Can't beat the value here and they keep it simple with good food unlike certain lavish hot pot restaurants in Vancouver.

Ordered red coconut curry soup as the base, food was amazing as always. Love the robot that delivers the food to the table, very friendly staff. Food cooks fairly fast on the soup base. Call ahead for reservations, 20% off after 9pm is quite the deal 👌.

This place is probably THE best place to get hot pot in Edmonton! The staff are kind and extremely efficient, the food is delicious and abundant! Even though it is small, it makes for value, charisma and experience! My friends and I had a blast coming here and will definitely be back one day soon! The cat robot server was a delightful! Overall, great food, great experience and extremely fair price!

Probably the best Hot Pot place I've been to! Very fresh ingredients and super tasty broths. Great service and they make your hot pot sauce for you!
Sam Poier
Phenomenal food. They give you huge portions so the price is well worth it. High grade ingredients that taste good even on their own, no matter what soup base you choose. Absolutely lovely owners and staff, makes you feel like family. Great for any occasion! The cat robot was adorable as well.

This place is a staple here! If you come during a prime time be ready to wait or hope you are lucky because it is packed (and for good reason). The aunties here are all so nice and we love the addition of the robot. It is busy here but worth it! Amazing food, and fun times. There's so many soups and sauces to try here and at the end of the day it's just really great value. We have been coming here for so long. One the best places in Edmonton for sure.
I Am Real Eyes
This is not just a Hotpot, this is an Experience, the many choices of soups, blew my mind... As I waited for my items to arrive, I heard music, I heard a whimsical voice and suddenly, I saw a robot multi tray 😳 zoom over to me with my items and ask me to remove, I laughed so hard I could barely get my items, what an amazing help this robot can be, I was super impressed and very happy to see such a nice robot, it's a cat, for the cat people, it's like Hello Kitty brings your food 😀. The service is awesome, they will make your sauce for you 😀 Very clean inside, all tables and areas cleaned very often 👌 The broths for soups for so many different flavors to choose, I went with Satay and another brother, Wine chicken and Herbs. Both were incredible, I'd love to have again, but I need to try other broths first. The selection of Veggies, Meats and Assorted dumplings and speciality items. I can't begin to explain, it must of have been at least 100 items in different varieties, everything fresh and cut properly, not super thin slices of bad cuts, this is good cuts of quality meats. I really can't say enough good things 😌 It's 32 95 for all you can eat, 2 bucks for a broth, for everything you get, it's well worth it, you're going to flavor town. They have a 5 item lunch special, 18 95, still decent, it's lunch. Be open minded, be ready to taste food and the foods juices in the broths, have a wonderful drink, they have menu of just the drinks they prepare, I didn't try, but it looked great. I got sliced pork, Marbled Beef, shrimps, sliced lamb, oysters, dumplings, chicken chunks, Angus cubes...everything was perfect. The Cat robot server, really made it super special and awesome, bring the wife and kids, this place is great, not to busy earlier in day, around 11am. There's parking on side street, near bottle depot, behind restaurant and directly in front of Chili Hotpot, depending on what time of day you go, you can grab a spot fairly easy.

This was our second time trying this place out and we were very disappointed to say the least. The first time we came and the reason we hadn't been back was because the dining area was in a complete state, lacking cleanliness, and space-wise, we had felt like sardines in a tin can. Our hope was that this was going to be different for our second-go around but that was hardly the case. The most disappointing piece about our experience was the customer service. It was quite busy when we arrived but we were given a table right away (which we appreciated). It took over 10 mins for them to bring us a menu and it got to the point where we had to track down one of the servers to get us one. After we wrote down what we wanted, it took another 15 mins before we submitted it because nobody came and checked in with us nor did they make sure we knew what to do with ordering. The food we ordered came out sporadically and half of what we ordered never actually made it to our table. The worst part was that they didn't even bring us the soup to cook the food so we had all these raw foods sitting out for close to 20 mins. Finally the Manager noticed we were sitting there without soup and came over to tell us that we had to tell the server what soup base we wanted instead of marking it on the order form which had a spot to order the soup. The server didn't explain any of this to us nor did they ask what soup base we wanted, so we wasted the last 45 mins. I understand the food service industry can be busy but it shouldn't be our responsibility to chase down staff in order to make an order let alone be sitting there for 45 mins without anyone bothering to check in with us. It's unacceptable business practice and there isn't any excuse for that. When they did bring the soup base to us finally, the server who brought them tried turning on the stove unit, realized it wasn't lit up or turned on, shrugged their shoulders and walked away without a word. We had to wait another 5 to 10 mins before I was able to track down that same server to help us. It turns out it wasn't even plugged in and he was fine with it. I honestly couldn't believe the customer service here. I don't like to give bad reviews, I really want to give my best to places that deserve it but this has been the worst customer service experience I have ever had in my life. The last thing I'll mention is the space. As a tall man, standing at 6'5", I felt super uncomfortable. I was barely able to fit at the table and there is just hardly any room to enjoy yourself. My anxiety started kicking in, couple that with the lack of customer service, I can never see myself coming back nor recommending this place to anyone. It's super upsetting to leave this review because the variety at this hot pot looked to be so amazing but it was incredibly disappointing. TLDR: Customer service was non-existent and it was the first time in my life I didn't leave a tip. The food was lackluster and you barely have enough space to breathe. Save yourself the +$30 and go to Chinese Hot Pot down the road for $18 for late night hot pot. Much better option with far greater customer service and space.

We got overcharged for pork brain which is not on the menu in absence of any notice.......
Plus rude service....go find good hot pot places elsewhere
Michelle
Went here on a Tuesday evening and it wasn't very busy but if they were any busier, the noise level would have been unbearable. So we got lucky. The place was cold so I kept my coat on (it was only -6 outside). The service and food were both great. They noticed that this was our first visit so they explained how and what to order. Our server (the owner, I'm guessing) even made us a special sauce which was delicious.

Everyone has their favourite places to go for hot pot and this was recommended to us by friends, we tried their lunch special and homemade milk tea. Although the food was fresh and the service was good, Asian hot pot express is definitely still our favourite, better value and better food.

I purchased a groupon for this restaurant and decided to try it out with my family. please note that if it was not for the groupon, we probably would not have heard about this place or tried it. I purchased the voucher on August 13, 2017 and went with my family for dinner on August 15, 2017. The voucher was valid until February 2018 but the restaurant would not accept it. The restaurant claimed that groupon continued to advertise the voucher beyond the contract date with the restaurant and that is why they can't accept it. The restaurant made us pay for the full meal price even though we had a valid voucher.
We felt cheated and mislead. I think that this was a stupid business mistake on their part as it really ticked us off and we would not return to this restaurant because of this false advertisement. They should have just accepted the voucher and solved their problems with groupon folks separately and left customers out of it.
The dinning experience was good. The food was good if you like hot pot idea. They have a good menu selection and the service was great up to the point of paying our bill. This was not pleasant. The restaurant's owner just successfully turned away potential regular customers for a discount of $18.
Bottom line is we are not going back as we felt fooled by the wrong advertisement.
Groupon was nice about this and issued a full refund.

It was my first time eating at Chili Hot Pot. I had the lamb broth which was extremely spicy. I wasn't a huge fan of it but if you like spicy food then you might enjoy it. My friend had the chicken wine broth, which was really good, slightly on the sweet side though. There was a lot of different meats to choose from. The dumplings were really tasty and full of flavour. They didn't have a lot to choose from for vegetables. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful!
There were a couple things that I found odd:
1) Instead of putting in more broth, they'd add in hot water into your existing broth.
2) The sign outside the building stated that it was 20% off after 9pm. But I heard a worker say on the phone to a customer that it was 10% off after 9pm. However, we were there between 10-11pm and we still got charged full price.
The orders are quite large so order with caution!

Great service and pretty tasty hot pot but the place is too small for me. I like that they have the split pots so that I can have more choice with soups, there's also tons of variety on the menu which is great. However, the atmosphere itself was too crowded and hot for me.. I felt uncomfortable eating. If I were to come back, it would definitely have to be during a time where it's less busy. There is also a lack of parking so it'd be a good idea to plan ahead.

had a chance to come eat here with some friends. the food was fresh and love their wide selection of the soups they have i just felt it was a bit stuffy in there and kinda cramped but was a good experience.

I have only been here once and I really liked it. Its a smaller place so it's pretty crowded. The thing that stands out to me about this place is their drinks - more options compared to other hotpot places and the lemon tea seems to be everyone's favourite. Service is prompt and they're quite nice which is uncommon for a hotpot place so it's nice to see. It looks like you get a late night discount so I'm interested in going back for that. The downside is this place is inconvenient for me because it's in the southside! I wish they'd open another location in chinatown or somewhere more central.

Really enjoy coming to Chili Hot Pot. They have many things on their menu such as appetizers that's included in the all you can eat. They have a wall of multiple sauces you can mix together. The hot pot menu has many things over hot pot places don't carry. The lady working is always friendly and gives recommendations. The desert is also delicious and homemade. Last time we had a coconut cantaloupe jello. It's a smaller restaurant and gets warm quick due to the steam from the soups. The nice thing is they give out coupons for you to come again and after 9-10pm I believe you get an extra 10-20% off your bill.

After 9, Chili Hot Pot has an awesome 20% off discount and it’s all you can eat! Located right across the street from Strathcona High School, be sure to keep an eye for it when driving by as it can easily be missed. Actually…. head there early too. The parallel parking in front of the restaurant is limited and can fill up fast.

When we first entered the cozy restaurant, we noticed everyone and I mean everyone in the restaurant had these lemon mason jar drinks on their table. We hesitated to follow at first due to the high price but once we saw photos of the drink on the wall, right behind us, we had to try it. It is a must have! My friends and I ended up ordering a pitcher of both the lemon iced tea and lemon iced soda.

Chili Hot Pot has a wide range of soup bases to pick from. 18 to be exact. I picked pork with apple slices, it seemed unique and tasty (from all the photos I saw online before going). Upon receiving it, the abundance of apples took up a lot of room in my pot and consequently I couldn’t hoard food. I was quite hungry and I wanted to stuff my pot with food. Overall, the soup base was flavorsome and I ended up taking out some apple slices in favor for more food. The sauce bar was located in an awkward spot of the restaurant but has a comparable or the exact same collection as any hot pot restaurant.

They had a great selection of both pre-cooked and raw food, particularly my girlfriend loved their selection of seafood as it is a bigger selection than most places. The service was fast and for the most part, accurate. The staff cleared our finished plates attentively and quickly and returned also quickly with more food.

After our food, the mango and cappuccino desert (both separate) was a nice touch to ending a great meal. I would definitely come back and recommend Chili Hot Pot to anyone, especially if you are hungry past 9.
ZERO
Easily the best hotpot in town, their new tech mini personal stoves very quick and efficient, they serve the best cooked foods for a hotpot place, they even have salmon sashimi. Selection for the items is also quite large, kinda similar to other hotpot places. Its about 30$ per person, id come back solely because it trumps other hotpot locations on their "cooked food" selection and quality, andddd the salmon sashimi which no other place provides.

I used to eat there a lot in the past but haven't been there for last few month until last night. The place just got renovated. Friendly stuffs as usual. One only thing that I had my concern was, the meat slices usually comes frozen and curled up. There was one plate of meat only had frozen slices on the top and bunch defrosted slices laid all over at the bottom. I hope it wasn't from other table's left over. I overlooked my own concern because I never got sick from the place before but not last night...I had diarrhea and got really sick later part of the night and also the next day. So did my friend.

The food here is not altogether bad, but the service we have found to be sub par. The servers can't seem to strike a balance between taking orders for food/drinks in a timely manner and watching you eat and having one-sided conversation during your meal as if they would like to join. Awkward. A year ago, we have stopped frequenting Chili Hot Pot because the owner forgot to give us the usual $5 coupon and when explaining this on our next visit, the owner essentially said she doesn't care. Despite the fact that we used to go 1-2 times a week, it was cleared our business was not appreciated. We have been going to Asian Express hot pot instead and have found the service and atmosphere to be more pleasant.

What a great overall experience and great service! Come hungry and expect to leave fully satisfied. I would highly recommend the hot pot experience to anyone and especially at chili hot pot, where they take the time to explain things and are very quick at clearing the empty plates away (you will have a lot of plates). I went there for my birthday dinner and Valentine's Day dinner, as well as a random Friday night, and they have been consistent. Highly recommend- but don't blame me if you go back too often!

My favourite hot pot in edmonton. Chili's staff is friendly, although the restaurant is very busy and not luxurious it's always clean and the food comes quickly. I love the variety of food items/appetizers you can order with your hot pot items. Try the Dry ribs, they are the best ribs I've had anywhere, EVER! Fried rice is good too and even had some good sushi items. They can make most of the broths vegetarian/vegan for those who don't want any meat based broths.

In the last few weeks, Me and Jessy have been really into eating Hot Pot. On a cold winter day in Edmonton, nothing beats a hot bowl of broth and accompanying meats! We’ve gone to Chili Hot Pot a number of times, and a few other places as well. As I said my my last post, Hot Pot have been increasing in popularity in Edmonton, and now there’s many places to choose from. They are all essentially the same, with slight variations in what you can order.

The best place in Edmonton to eat hot pot and the service is awesome too!

They have a lots of drinks that you can choice
But the location is not very good for people that don't have a car !

Good service & friendly. I've been to like every hot pot place in edm. except asian express south so far, i can say as far as service goes, is my favorite place to go. The staff tend to remember you after one or two visits, food portions are good, nice home made sauces and desserts.
not the greatest neighbourhood to dine at but i don't mind making the drive down every now and then due to the service/food.

Yum. Positives: Friendly service! I presume she's the owner because she acts like everyone is family. She exclaimed we forgot a dumpling and chopstick'ed it into my husband's pot. She's the cutest and really sweet. Reminds me of my tiny Asian mom. She was constantly checking on us and making sure our drinks were filled. The water has cucumber and lemon in it. Nice touch! The servers did ask if I speak Chinese and when I said no the service didn't get worse (like at other hot pot restaurants) and they tried to communicate, truly. Exceptional sauce station with many condiments. We really liked the peanut sauce and the crushed peanuts. They add a nice flavor. Food was fresh. We ate a lot as usual.

Negatives: We ordered 4 plates of beef. Only one plate came. Ordered 3 more plates, only 1 plate came. Don't know if this is on purpose or if they meant to do that but we love our beef. There's no sliced chicken (similar to the beef, shaved thin), it's cut up chicken which is kinda unsightly to look at. We also love pork belly but it wasn't on the menu. Sometimes you get items you didn't order.

Overall: Not too bad. This place is great in a pinch but we have our favorite haunt. I do love the service the most! At our favorite place we basically get ignored the entire time and you have to flag someone down. They're attentive here and get high marks for that. Would have loved to make them our fav joint but the selection is the only thing stopping me! As for hot pot on the southside, don't count me out yet. I'll probably be back again soon!

Great at first, downhill when they got busy. We were big fans of their friendliness and wanting to get to know you by name, and good soup base when they first opened. Now that when they get busy, everything including service and taste goes out the window, unfortunately. Don't think they even remember us too. Requested food and many-a-times it never gets delivered or they give you random things that you didn't exactly order.

This is a half green curry/half wine chicken soup base. Could be the best soup in mar or earth this time

-----05 Dec, 2014-----

Home made dumplings. Better than anything else on earth

-----05 Dec, 2014-----

Lobster Wonton. This a sliced beef !!! Yummy

Fresh and savoury!. This was my first time to Chilli Hot Pot and I was very pleased. A huge list of options, including many homemade dishes. What we chose from the menu came out quickly, was very fresh looking and tasting, and the service was very attentive. My favourites were the satay broth (we tried 3 different ones), the shrimp dumplings, plates of meat and fresh veggies. Mango pudding with a drizzle of condensed milk to finish was a nice touch. Overall a fun and unique experience!

Best hot pot in town. Food is excellent . Osyters are fresh from the shell and not canned osysters. I particular love their lamb meat. Make sure u order their ice lemon tea , the best lemon tea ever. Highly recommend.

The BEST...Scam ever. Went last night for hotpot for the "20% off", I'm not usually the type of person that complains about the service cause i basically go to a restaurant to eat and go. This place is just HORRID. The servers kept making excuses why they didn't have the certain foods cause "not many people eat that" and even complained to us that they were "very tired already" for not bringing us water and food. The food however is actually decent quality so I have to give props for that. But If your restaurant cannot serve properly late night i recommend you to not even open that late. Summary: 20% off for 40% less food.

Never Again for Chili Hot Pot. Last night, went to Chili Hot Pot at 10pm. Got seated right away however throughout the night we ran into a few problems:
• First, the service was horrible. The servers couldn't communicate properly in English (very broken down). We even overheard one of the servers mention she didn't understand english (spoken in Mandarin). She was unable to accomodate the customers. The whole night, the servers seemed frustrated, unhappy to be there, and always with a sour look on their face etc.
• Not all our food items were even given to us. We specified on quantity of certain foods, yet would not receive all of them, if any. For example, we ordered 6 plates of beef overall, only got 2 initially. Had to ask a server at least a half hour later where the rest of the food was. Only to be shut down, saying we got all of our food or they ran out of those items. She brought another plate of beef, we requested 2 more afterwards which was never provided.
• While waiting for more food, we overheard a server speaking to another table that certain foods ran out of stock that we have also ordered. We waited for a very long time for certain foods ( veggies, beef, meats, and salmon) only to realize we weren't even going to get it. No one mentioned to us that these items were out if stock nor did they scratch thede items off the menu to at least forewarn us or their guests.

We were looking forward to this hot pot date, but certain things made our night go downhill very fast. Overall, very dissapointed with what appeared to be a good hot pot restaurant. Terrible and inconsistent service throughout the night. With the amount of food we recieved, and the amount we paid in the end, it was overpriced and was not the $20/person deal we were hoping for. Since the soups all were $2 on top (didn't see a free one) including tax, we ended up paying almost the same amount as regular price. Will never return as it was not worth a dime...

Anniversary Dinner: 10/10 Would Do It Again. On the busy 104 st., once you step thru the marble entrance and secondary doors, it transports you right to the cleaner, genuine Chinese experience we all dream of. The servers speak Mandarin, Cantonese, and English; they're super helpful and very very nice. I didn't want to terrify my Caucasian boyfriend so I ordered sliced lamb, some veggies, some chicken and the deep fried wheat gluten; turns out he got squid too and devoured it. :P The basic chicken broth was nicely decorated with Goji Berries, green onions and garlic; the ingredients we cooked in our individual pots were brought out quickly as we steadily ate until we could move no longer. You can choose which sauces and garnishes you'd like; I reccommend ginger with satay, sesame oil and soy. :) And the mango pudding, my gosh. I recommend getting there earlier for quieter dining; it's super popular with the big groups. The bf was still talking about it the morning after; we're definitely coming back! *We couldn't stop eating long enough for me to take a nicer photo.

Amazing. This place has great service, the waitresses are always friendly. There's a huge selection of items for the buffet, there's vegetables and cooked items that aren't offered at any other hotpot restaurant in Edmonton.

For the love of god try their deep fried lobster dumplings and curry squid.

This place is always full on weekend evenings so be sure to make a reservation.

Best hotpot in Edmonton. Love this place! Across from Strathcona High, it's pretty easy to miss this restaurant. Having been here several times, I can say it has the best hotpot in Edmonton. It even has sashimi! The service has always been attentive and prompt, and the food comes out at a fast pace. They've helped accommodate people that never had hotpot before by giving them recommendations and showing them how to cook, in some cases even cooking the food for them! The price isn't too bad, $27.99-28.99 depending on broth chosen. And of course after 9 there's the 20% discount, which is amazing. Unlimited dessert, good service with refills and plates cleared, parking right outside the restaurant (though it can be full at times), I love this hotpot place! Recommended.

Absolutely fantastic experience at Chili Hot Pot!!! Will be recommending this restaurant to friends, colleagues and strangers on the bus

Chili hot pot was a place to be loved. On the outside it seems like a shabby humble restaurant that most would pass by but once inside both the service and the atmosphere is amazing.

I definitely enjoyed my time here and will undoubtedly be returning with friends. Unlimited mango pudding dessert is something worth mentioning :)
YumYum
Solid choice!!. First visit after reading great reviews here and it did not disappoint! Reservation is strongly suggested on weekends. All our orders came out fresh and very fast however did hear the younger table beside us keep complaining they weren't getting their pricier orders (lamb, oysters, shrimp). Service was great, everything got refilled and cleared promptly. Nothing bad to say...solid choice for hot pot!

Best Hot Pot Place in Alberta. This is by far the best hot pot place in Alberta. I was not expecting much but was astonish at the level of competence by the staff and owner. Many points around this restaurant is great, here are just a few things:
1. Clean- Everything was clean, from the tables to the area where you get your sauces. In addition, the food is clean, intestines and vegetables are usually poorly cleaned in these types of restaurants because they can always blame the customer for not fully cooking it, however they were as clean as when I do it at home.
2.Great Cooked food- Several items were very good on the cooked food side, usually these items are used as fillers but they made a significant effort in making the cooked food great. The deep fried lobster dumplings was amazing, better than any Dim sum place and is not filled with fish meat (Most dim sum places fill the lobster meat with fish because its cheap).
3. Great variety- Everything you would expect in a Hot Pot place including the not so common intestines and coagulated blood. They have a good variety of meat (lamb, beef, chicken) slices and balls.
4. Milk Tea- Very impressed, I talked to the owner and the recipe is straight from a restaurant in Hong Kong. They bought the exact same leaves and shipped it here. One of the best I have had in Canada.

Good. I went here twice. The food is great. The only bad thing was when we give an order, they only bring in the cheap stuff first and sometimes even forget to bring in like the lamb. We have to call them and specifically ask them again in order to get it. This has happened quite a few times and that is the only thing that I was not happy about. Otherwise, it is a great restaurant!

Chili Hot Pot - Excellent. Quality of food - Excellent
Service - Excellent
Overall experience - Excellent
Rating - 100%

The best hot pot place in edmontkn and I've tried many of them. It is more pricey than the shared hot pot experience as it is individual hot pot. In terms of variety, it has TONS of stuff (very similar to Asian express in this sense). Their quality of food is better than other places I've tried as well. I found their meats to be super good. Their oysters were giant! I also loved their deep fried buns with the sweetened condense milk. So good.

I also consider this the best hot pot place due to the level of service. I went on a quiet Thursday night so your level of service may be very different when going on a weekend. The owner was very helpful! She made a lot of recommendations and was very attentive. She provided clean dishes a couple times during the experience. Also, this is small but they had TWO pairs of chopsticks for you!!! One for eating and one for serving!!! Hot pot places never have this! When I have hot pot at home we generally do this, but most restaurants don't bother. So to me, this secondary pair of chopsticks is but a glimpse of their level of service here. Also small, but their water was lemon, mint cucumber water which was incredibly refreshing especially amongst the salty hot pot experience. Again this is something small, but just demonstrates the quality level the owners operate at. I also liked that they have good based on portion sizes and were fairly accurate in getting everything we asked.

I would highly recommend this place! I also know they have a deal for happy hour (after 9pm) 20% off their regular price (24.99 but an extra 2 for specialty soups)

Awsome. Really great experience here, the service was the best, awesome food well worth it.

Nothing is better than sitting down with your loves ones in this cold winter, with your personalized hot pot !? Unlimited high quality food for your hot pot. The vegetable are so fresh that i forgot i am in Edmonton !! The raw oyster is by far the best in edmoton ,ready for you to cook..the meal topped off with house made pudding in 3 flavours, mango, green tea,lemon..all you can eat ! If you believe you and your friends deserve the best in town,be there !!!

Awesome dining - fun experience and excellent food. Great food and fun experience to have each person have their own hot pot at the table for cooking, and Fanny (one of the owners?) was awesome - she basically mothered us the whole time, cooking our food, mixing up special sauces, etc. Totally worth $25 for all you can eat - huge menu and great meats (lamb, oink!) and seafoods, tons of veggies and noodles, amazing dumplings and other home made items!

Parking lot round back with rear entrance.

My only (minor) complaint is that the tables were too low for me to get my legs under and a bit too close together - not really put together with us big white barbarian giants in mind ;)
Mike
Best hotpot in town! They have the best meatballs and sauces.
Kris
It's one of the best Hotpot place in Edmonton! Everything was so fresh and clean. The service was hands down the best I have ever seen!!
Jonny
Overall, I liked Chili Hot Pot, especially their after 9pm deal! Forgot to mention you also get dessert at the end (we had mango pudding). Oh yeah, make sure you get a lemon ice tea ($2.50) – comes in a mason jar and quenches your thirst.
E-Town, It's Me Again!
The food selection is diverse and plentiful, the hot food (prepared by Mr. Chan himself) is very tasty, and the prices are reasonable at Chili Hot Pot which makes it a great place to get together with friends and/or family. There are a couple of minor setbacks, but they have nothing to do with the food or service provided. First of all, you'll notice that the parking in front or behind the restaurant is rather limited. Second, especially if it's cold outside and you wear glasses, it takes a few minutes to get used to the hot pot sauna that gets you as soon as you walk in. Other than that, I have yet to hear a complaint about its operations!

Nothing beats the cold winters in Edmonton better than a hot bowl of soup, hot bowls of pho or all you can eat hotpot. I love my hotpot and I have been to almost all the hotpot places here in Edmonton. Recently, there has been a couple of new hotpot places appearing. Chili hotpot is one of the newest, located in the south side (kind of) right across from Strathcona High School on 104th street. The location is quite odd and parking may be difficult to find on a busy day, since the majority of parking will be on the street. I am a little behind on posting but I wanted to get this one out first since there are many things to be brought to attention after visiting this place twice..
