Was looking forward to trying this ramen place and I wasnt disappointed! Minimalistic decor, a line up for the limited seating and a delicious savory scent greets you at the door. I think they were short staffed tonight, but the staff still endeavored to check on tables with a smile. We ordered all 3 available appetizers (there was more on the online menu but I think they streamlined it down since), and bowls of tonkatsu and tonkatsu black garlic ramen.

We also tried a guava beer- sapporo beer sweetened slightly with a hint of guava juice. Would have preferred a stronger taste of guava, but refreshing none the less.

The ramens came out before the appetizers but we were hungry and just dug in. The tonkatsu broth is rich, fatty and delectable. The tonkatsu with black garlic is just pure happiness in a bowl. Paired with toothsome ramen noodles that had a great chew without being too chewy or hard, and housemade pickled onions, green onions, roasted nori, crunchy bamboo shoots, creamy soft boiled egg and thi but satisfying pieces of lean pork shoulder, fatty pork belly and a piece of bacon (yup bacon!), Nudoru's take on the traditional bowl of tonkatsu ramen hits it out of the park.

The octopus fritters was an interesting mass up of corn fritters with takoyaki balls. The sauces were tasty, as was the corn fritter that had bits of corn and octopus, but I'm still a bigger fan of traditional takoyaki. The seafood okonomiyaki or japanese pancake was nicely executed with this version being on the creamier side on the interior, but dont expect it to be crispy on the exterior. The gyoza made with Irving Farm Berkshire pork, asian cabbage and turnip were nicely pan fried to a golden brown, and had a hint of sweetness to the pork. I didnt love the black vinegar soy dipping sauce, as there was a strong taste of beer that lent a note of bitterness to it (not sure if that was intentional or if some beer was accidentally spilled).

Overall, Nudoru definitely takes the reins as overall best ramen in yeg, and well worth the wait in line. I may go for delivery next time to beat the line ups and slurp ramen in the comfort of home and my pjs.

I definitely recommend going to Nudoru Ramen Bar (also, props to the name haha)!

The food was pretty good, especially the ramen (obviously). The broth and stock were very flavorful and rich. We tried the shoyu, the spicy miso, and the dragon. The pork belly had a great umami taste, and the noodles had a nice bounce.

We also had the octopus fritters (kind of like takoyaki, although different in the style of the batter and cooking method) It's sauce was tdf and the corn complemented the fritter batter very well!

We had the gyoza too, which was amazingly juicy! Although, it has a slightly different flavour than traditional gyoza.

The service was very good, the decoration was beautiful, and the ambience was comforting :)

Don't skip a chance to try their steamed bun sliders, or "bungers"! Nudoru’s high quality ingredients, cool Korean influence, tantalizing appetizer menu and easy build-your-own ramen choices would make them a fun place to introduce friends and family to some things they’ve never tried before. My only complaint is that considering the restaurant was nearly empty, I think the servers would do well to provide a pitcher of water or be a little more attentive with the refills to help diners deal with all the spicy and salty dishes. Other than that, the service was friendly, the booths were cozy and our mission of warming up was easily accomplished on one of the coldest evenings I’ve ever experienced in Edmonton. I highly recommend you check out Nudoru the next time you’re craving a comforting bowl of noodles or some modern Japanese-style snacks

Duck in here on a cold day. A hearty and satisfying warm bowl of ramen is just what a frigid Edmonton winter calls for. I ended up in here on a particularly frosty afternoon and I was very pleased with my experience. I ordered the spicy dragon noodle dish, be warned this actually is spicy, like really spicy. The staff will actually warn you that they aren't messing around with the heat, so don't gripe if you get it and find it excessive, but for those of us who love the heat it actually delivers. What I really really loved about it though, is that it's not a dish that all you taste is the spiciness, it is a good, complex broth. They don't just deliver on the broth though, all the ingredients are quality and lend to the dish in an interesting way. The noodles texture is firm and chewy enough to have a gratifying mouthfeel, the meats are tender and savory, etc. Mine lone issue is the price. Maybe I am just untutored in ramen but isn't this stuff supposed to be cheap? And it's not like we're talking about pho, with its beef and laborious prep times. I know what goes into these dishes and while you are paying for quality I still think these meals should come in just a hair cheaper. a buck cheaper and it would have been right where I would have assumed I would have been paying for it.

If you're coming to Nudoru you better be coming for the ramen. They have the all the standard varieties and a few in house specialties too. I tried the Dragon. I'm fairly good with heat but with the waitress's suggestion I didn't get the hottest version. This was a good call because they're not lying, their soup is HOT (finally a place that lives up to the warning). Ramen was good but not the best I've had. Why was the soft boiled egg cold!?! Gyoza were nothing special. Service was fair.

This is our favourite ramen spot in the city. After spending a month in Japan last year, we were craving ramen so badly. We didn't want just any ramen though - we were craving the springy al dente homemade noodles and the savoury/rich broths we had grown accustomed to. Nudoru is the only place we can get that fix! We will continue to come here for their consistency and speed. Nothing warms you up better on a cold day. The dragon bowl is our favourite, but I also love the variety of broths and toppings they offer for the build your own option. I would say this spot is a ramen-only spot for us; we don't get appetizers here. They do one thing very well, so I'd say stick to ramen while you're here and you can't go wrong.

This place has a seriously nice decor that will suck you right in as you enter.  It is a comfortable and cozy place to eat a bowl of ramen.  It is a lot nicer and cleaner looking than Ninja ramen down the block.  I ordered the octopus fritters and they were just OK.  It was a lot more under-flavoured batter than anything.  Sure, there was tako (octopus) inside, but it was overwhelmed by the mediocre batter.  The tonkotsu ramen was OK.  Same old Edmonton ramen like nomiya, ninja, etc.  Not much to write home about.  I also ordered this super spicy ramen and I should have listened to the servers because it was spicy in a way that was not edible.  It's nice as a youtube spicy ramen challenge maybe.  It reminded me of spicy Northern Chicken that was all spice but no flair.  Give this place a try if you've run out of ideas or if you are sick of all the other places on Whyte.

This would have to be my fav ramen place so far. Good location. Nice interior. Good service. I like that there is a vegetarian option for their ramen. I'm not sure if I enjoyed their appetizers, but I would definitely recommend the ramen.

Decent price and size ramen. I ended up customizing mine and picking the toppings I like. I ended up going for the spicy miso soup base which was pleasant and flavourful. Not bad but nothing too special.

Satisfactory ramen. Bao also good. Overall what you'd find in a typical ramen restaurant; would come back and worth a try but doesn't stand out amongst other ramen shops.
