This place opened up a while ago and I have wanted to give it a try and did that over the weekend. It wasn't too busy when I got there with my family. It didn't take long before we were asked what to drink and shortly after asked if we were ready to order. We all wanted some sort or vermicelli bowls so that what we got. It didn't take too long before our orders were out. Food tasted okay and not the best; I have had better. Overall, restaurant looks clean, fast @friendly staff, fast service and food tasted okay. Will definitely be back to try other dishes.

I think this is one of the better Vietnamese pho places and I particularly like the way how well lit their restaurant is. Lots of windows so lots of natural lighting gives it a welcoming, clean feeling atmosphere. The staff was friendly enough and the pho (P1) was tasty enough but I feel the broth was a little bland. They added lots of green onions though which I like and big helpings of been sprouts and basil! Portions are fair. This restaurant is worth a stop if you're in the area.

My absolute favourite bowl of pho in the city! Great broth, noodles are the right texture and they don't skimp! I usually order the King Special (steak, flank/brisket, meatballs, tendon and tripe) but hold the tendon extra tripe.

The Vietnamese iced coffee is great too!

WONDERFUL food...very generous portions and food always fresh.  Reasonable prices for such large portions.  staff very pleasant, & fast with service.  Never disappoints.  Have not been in since renovations, but plan to return soon!

Suddenly had a craving for pho and decided to try this place since it was so close to my house. Quite a small restaurant but had a nice cozy feeling. Food came out fast and hot. Not only did they serve Vietnamese dishes but they also had a couple Chinese dishes here and there and even a section devoted to Western food such as fries, sandwiches, and burgers. But of course, I came here for the pho and ordered the brisket and beef meatballs which was delicious. The broth was seasoned just right and wasn’t too salty. I also ordered an onion cake and it was probably the best decision I’ve made. I tend to hesitate when restaurants serve onion cake (either its too flat, dense, or thin on top) but this was the best one yet (fluffy and flavorful).

Decent pho, nicely lit and spaced place. It's clear the owners take pride in cleanliness and layout. Spring rolls came out hot and crunchy, and the satay chicken pho was spicy but could use more backbone(maybe peanut butter or coconut milk?) great place that was actually open the afternoon of Christmas Eve!

In a gloomy world of Sunday hangovers, happiness is found here. Other Vietnamese restaurant's in Edmonton can't compare to the food here. Everything looks and tastes PHO KING fresh, and it seems like the time has been taken to properly make each dish without skipping steps. Tastes like good home cooking

Pho King. Such a cleverly named restaurant. Have you seen their brand/logo design? Amaze balls (buy a t-shirt!). I’ve hit up Pho King a few times by now (good spot when you want something quick and easy before hitting up Rexall Place) but this was the first time I’ve been to their newly renovated digs. Everything is much cleaner and aesthetically pleasing. The right hand side of the resto now consists of a counter instead of seating area.

Amazing!!!. Been coming here for years, great service every time. The owners are very friendly.

My friends and I order the original Pho and it is one of if not the best we've had in all of Edmonton. Also, the vietnamese coffee here is to die for!

I highly recommend this place :) check it out if you haven't already. One of the most underrated pho restaurants in Edmonton.

Soup. So there was 6 of us who went and ate here today. 5 people had PHO, one of which had the chicken kind and the other 4 the traditional pho. All 5 people said it was some of the better pho theyve had in awhile. Prices were $7.50 (Small) and $9.50 large.

I had rice and veggies, considering I wasnt very hungry at all. $7.50. It was better than I thought it would be; no gooey weird MSG sauce. Overall I would come and eat here again and so would all my friends.

FYI though: the menu on here is outdated. Prices have gone up atleast $1.50 on everything on the menu.

Pancakes and pho? why not?. Service is ok, not very professional but polite

Room is old but clean.

Portions... well, they don't call it Pho King for nothing.

Yep, Id have to say that it's the only place in town that I know of that serves up fluffy pancakes and a mean bowl of pho. Both are pretty good, not the best

Side of Kim Chi with your eggs over easy? Sure. Bowl of pho and fries? Ok. If your dinning party can't decide on western or Viet, this is the place to go for both. :)

Excellent Viet Greasy Spoon - Great food and great value!. We are regulars - my hubby always gets the huge special fried rice (very garlicky and flavourful with huge chunks of meat and shrimp in it) and I often get a Pho (their broth is excellent) or a rice dish. You can't beat their value! You get huge portions for under $10 a plate. Very friendly family run shop... we go out of our way to eat here. Try it!

Come for the name... Stay for the food". I really like the vermicelli bowls. They have the right balance of content and flavor. I have had the soup and could see this being an amazing dish on a cold day. Overall this place reminds me of Lan's down the street but less expensive.
The one downside is the service has been quick to order but slow to receive the order. I have tied to come during lunch and I have always run late. I would come more often if I knew I could get in and out a little quicker.

Pho King Good Food. Delicious food and reasonably priced. I enjoyed the Grilled Beef Vermicelli bowl that comes with three skewers of grilled beef with the usual veggies and vermicelli and fish sauce. You can order extra meat if you are so inclined but the amount served was just right.

Would go back again!

Really good take-out!. I used to ride the bus past this restaurant everyday when I worked down 118th over the summer and always chuckled at the clever name choice, but never was interested in eating there. I decided tonight to get delivery and was craving Vietnamese so I thought I'd give it a try, considering I don't live too far away. The positives: 1) The food is so good. I'm not much of a Pho noodle soup type of person (except Tom Yum) and they had tons of options for other kinds of food. I had the King's Special Rice which came topped with some kind of lemongrass beef, chicken, a fried egg, a couple shrimp, one spring roll, and veggies. SO DELICIOUS. I also got the assorted tempura and the shrimp salad rolls, which I'm saving for tomorrow but they look delicious as well. 2) Everything is VERY reasonably priced. There isn't one thing on the menu that is over 10.00 but you still get a nice sized portion. 3) The phone service was great; easy to understand and very straightforward. The negatives: 1) Delivery charges, etc. For one, they only deliver within 5 km which is understandable, but there is also a 3 dollar delivery charge (no matter where you are). Most delivery places will only charge the fee if you are outside their preferred radius. There is also a 50 cent charge for card transactions. You are also not allowed to get delivery unless your order is over 20 dollars, do you basically will always have a meal with the minimum price being 23.50 plus GST. Despite these charges, my meal including tempura, salad rolls, and the special fried rice was 25.00 and was well worth it.

On the menu it also says they serve breakfast? I would be interested in trying it!

Pho Soup. I read an add in The Tomato magazine a couple of weeks ago that talked about the revitalization of 118 ave. I noted a couple of restaurants that I wanted to check out. As I am a big fan of Pho soup, Pho King was first on the list. I was not disappointed in the least! The service was right on key, pleasant and efficient. We ordered the empire rolls and Pho soup. The presentation was above and beyond any other Pho soup establishment that I have been to in Edmonton. Lastly, the flavor of the soup and roll were exceptional, and highly recommended.

Enjoy, The Soup Queen

So good. I won't say the obvious. Their pho broths is one of the best in the city. Really good prices and other options for those not in the pho mood. Salad rolls made fresh and its probably the best I've had in the city, disregarding the ones my mom makes or the ones I do. Very cilantro and onion heavy in the pho broth, very clear broth, beefy. It's up there with pasteur for me.

Lots of potential. Considering it was on 118th avenue, I was kind of skeptical trying this place out. I finally gave it a shot and I'm really glad I did. The food is good and the prices are very very very reasonable. Even though it's not THE BEST Vietnamese food I've ever tasted, its definitely one of the better places in Edmonton and that's saying a lot since Pho King opened only about a year or two ago.

Love love love this place! Never disappointed. Honestly not the best pho I've ever had but their green onion cakes and vermicelli bowls (I always get the pork) are AMAZING. Extremely reasonably priced! Under $10/dish.

Late but great!. We didn't feel like dining out so we decided to check out what was available for delivery. We came across Pho King and the pretty decent reviews and thought we'd give it a try. While we waited an hour and 40 minutes for the food, it was well worth it. The spring rolls were great, the salad rolls light and yummy and the vermicelli dish was delightful. It's difficult to find good takeout that doesn't end up leaving you feel heavy but this fit the bill. And quite a small bill, at that. The total, with $5 delivery charge, for 2 appetizers, 2 mains and a soup was only $42. HIGHLY recommend Pho King.

First of all, the Pho King service was great and the Pho King atmosphere was unparalleled . But I could not believe the Pho King prices! Inexpensive, but great Pho King food. I almost lost my Pho King mind . The Pho King portions were so large, I had to take a Pho King rest. Overall, it was un Pho King believable
