First time eating Sri Lankan food. Was not disappointed! All dishes can be made with soy, so almost everything is vegetarian friendly. Lots of different choices from small appetizers to generously sized rice and noodle bowls. Lots of options for sharing as well.
Had the banana leaf bowl with soy. It came with a sort of chutney that was incredible, and some caramelized onions. The combination was fantastic. The hoppers and vadai were also delicious. I'd never had sambol (a sort of chili coconut garnish) before and loved it.
Service was great, the gentleman serving us answered all our questions and recommended some dishes to introduce us to the cuisine. The timing of the dishes was not quite as good as it could have been but that's a minor complaint.
Decor is surprisingly modern, minimalist but inviting. The place was spotlessly tidy and had lots of seating for such a small place.
Would definitely go back, and highly recommend to anyone interested in trying Sri Lankan food.
Amazing food, great service, contemporary setting. Great to introduce friends who are new to Sri Lankan cuisine. The chef will accept requests for milder versions of the dishes. Great place to dine and have a casual evening out.
I love this place!! The food was amazing. We tried one of each beef, fish and chicken rolls and all of them were delicious. For main we did the bowls -banana leaf bowl and string hopper bowl. Both of them were really good. The flavor will burst into your mouth! Highly recommend it! Service and interior were both good!
