I have to agree with everyone's review. Coffee Bureau is by far one of the best coffees spots in Edmonton, that I've tried so far. I had the café misto with soy. Such a smooth rich flavor that warms your soul! The staff were super friendly as well. Such a cozy little café that I will definitely be returning too on a regular basis!!
Best place for a coffee downtown, period. If the donuts are not sold out when you arrive, do yourself a favour and get one. Be prepared to have other, lesser donuts ruined for life.
Great coffee and now authentic Montreal bagels. Great staff/owner.
Worth the walk from our office.
Been here twice and I really love their drinks. I also think they have the BEST pain au chocolat/chocolat croissant because it just melts in your mouth and tastes fresh. I've never had a croissant so good in my life. On my recent visit they were out of the chocolate croissants so I tried the asiago sundried tomato biscuit. I didn't really like it because I found it too dry but if you pop it in the microwave for 10 seconds it tastes better.
At around noon it tends to get busy and because it's a very small space it gets crowded very easily. They don't have a lot of seating space either. If you're looking to come here for some quiet time I'd say come before 11am or after 1pm maybe. Service is friendly - seems like they recognize their regulars and I could see the friendly interactions they have.
Probably the best coffee place in Edmonton. This is a treasure tucked away in a rather unsuspecting spot. But it is far superior to credo. The chai latte is among the best in Edmonton. Although there isn't vast amounts of seating it's a great place to drop by!
I agree with positive reviews here. Excellent latte and friendly service. Maybe a touch on pricey side for baked goodies but well worth it. Minimalistic design and well used tiny space show how smart a small biz can be. Would be an ideal coffee destination during late spring, summer and early autumn with Beaver Hills House Park just across the road. Keep up great work, Coffee Bureau!
One of the best lattes I have ever had. The staff are friendly and knowledgable, and the ambience at the coffee bureau is on point. It is quite tiny, so you are lucky if you can get a spot to sit, but it is absolutely worth checking out.
This is the best kept secret on 105/Jasper that I have to let out.... Something not as crazily crowded as Credo but as wonderful as it is set out to be. Welcome to Coffee Bureau. It's so tucked away you'll think it's a Federal Investigation Bureau type business, but it's not, don't be afraid (well I hope not). It's really tiny inside but there's a blissful feeling evoked somehow in my heart. I felt like I was in Europe getting a cup of espresso before I set out on my day. This place has one tiny table for two and about 3 - 4 seats by the window. That's it. So if you wanna come here with a big group of people, you need go elsewhere or just grab your drink and then go elsewhere (I recommend the latter). Things are pricey here and I am almost shocked every time I ask for a price or look for one so I decided to focus on the ordering and less about the paying. It's worth it to just dump your money here - no doubt. Enjoy!
Good Tucked-in place. Small place, good for a take out during break time/ lunch hour.
Friendly service and my latte was pretty good.
Would prefer more foam but pretty decent size for good caffeine boost ($4.25)
A fine example of what is great about downtown Edmonton. I happen to be lucky enough to live across the street from this fine little establishment and I stop by on the weekends, no where can you find such great coffee and amazing pastry. It reminds me of being in France... but with friendlier service. It is quickly becoming part of my routine and I will continue supporting it!
Keep up the good work :)
I have often struggled to recognize a good coffee from a great one. As a casual fan of the beverage, I've tasted really good coffee, really bad coffee, and then a whole bunch in the middle of the pack, where my taste buds have not yet been able to parse out the difference from one to the next. 'This one's pretty good.' 'This other one over here is...pretty good.' I realize that to a large extent this is me just not getting it. Fine. But surely at some point I would find a cup that I could confidently say, 'this is great,' no?
Enter: Coffee Bureau. It was different. It was immediate. Great coffee. It was actually a bit of a revelation for me - I had begun to suspect that the independent coffee world was a whole bunch of people just patting themselves on the back for being better than Starbucks. Ok, fair enough, but if 'better than Starbucks' is too low a bar and 'delicious' is more your style, this is the place to go.
It is a great place for great coffee shop experience, friendly service and quality coffee. CB strives for quality - evidenced by their shop design and the care they place in their coffee bean selections. Needless to say, they know what they do with their coffee and bakery.
