We have been twice now for lunch and loved it both times. I’ve had the burger both times and it is amongst my favourites. The crust on the patty is spot on. The poutine is one of the best around, the spice on their fries put it over the top. Hubby liked both his corned beef sandwich our first visit and his hot Italian sausage sandwich this visit. We plan to eat our way through their menu, if I can ever order something other than the burger.

Visited the restaurant for the first time. Even though it's situated in the middle of an industrial area, the building is new and the interior is very friendly and inviting. Our server--whose name I unfortunately neglected to get--was effervescent, chatty, and all smiles and sass: great qualities for a server in a simple, homey place like The Local Omnivore. The menu was difficult to navigate, but only because EVERYTHING looked so good, we wanted to try it all. Since we are still alive, you know we did not order everything our first time out. We got a burger, a sammich, the large poutine, a side of the schnitzel, and one of the butcher's boards. Yes, we added bread and cheese and the beets. This ain't our first rodeo. The food was excellent, though we did have trouble deciding on which of the sausages was our favourite. And the lemon-grapefruit meringue tarts? Yum! Throughout our stay, our server ensured we had everything we needed to have the best time ever! We even got to write on the wall! So thanks for a great meal and a great experience. We will definitely be back. The only thing we weren't 100% sold on were the random items on the wall (Fernando was great, though): a WWE belt, some chainsaws, and a couple of board games. King of Tokyo is a good game, but what was it doing behind the counter? Never mind. The food is why Edmonton should eat at The Local Omnivore. It's wonderful, and we feasted like royalty for about $30 each, including beverages. OH, AND ANOTHER THING: As a non-drinker, I appreciate it when restaurants offer bottled pop, mocktails, or other non-alcoholic beverages besides fountain pop. Local Omnivore had an iced tea that was very refreshing and flavourful! I've been to places that offered their iced tea in a smaller glass, that was more bland, and was more expensive. So good on ya, Local Omnivore, for offering something so GOOD! I'll shut up now.

The food was so so good! We loved our meals. This was our first visit and it surely won't be our last. I would highly recommend trying this place if you haven't

Holy moly, amazing beef burgers. The Halifax burger was great, but I really wish I just got a plain burger because the beef patty is just so good on its own. Next time I'm just going to get the 4 plain burger combo. Poutine's fries, gravy, and cheese curds are all very good (3/3). This place is highly recommended!

Used to be the local Omnivore and rebranded itself as GRAVY after/during the pandemic! Has a really good vibe and lots of delicious flavours in the burger selection. Choose an egg as the add on. Just do it. Great burgers and chilli dogs! Would recommend!

Hands down best burgers in Edmonton. I will yell it from the rooftops. My group ordered the Halifax burger, Double Dragon burger, Chili cheese dog, and Eastcoast Poutine. And boy oh boy were we all left feeling satisfied. If you are looking for a great spot for burgers and poutine, you must go here!

Honestly one of my favourite burgers in Edmonton! I'm not sure what is up with the beef patties, but they are SO indulgently delicious. Maybe a higher fat ground or cooked in butter or something, but the crispy smashed crust combined with juicy umami flavour bomb is incredible. The brioche buns are also SO soft, fully, and the perfect sweet complement for the savory burger. I want to throw my vote in for the brunch burger being one of the best burgers in Edmonton, bar none. I love the vibe of this spot as well. They let customers write on the walls and it gives it this local burger shack type feel, which is apt for the rebranding from The Local Omnivore to GRAVY. The staff are also super awesome. They are personable, seem to be genuinely happy to be there, and even hooked my partner and I up with a drink freebie! Overall, GRAVY is one of my favourite burger spots in Edmonton, and I gotta give it a shoutout as I feel like the location makes it lesser known than Woodshed, but this is much better and should be the king of the 124 St. area.

"Best burger ever" she said while walking out of the door. She wasn't lying.. I was simply passing by...not even hungry. But when you hear that something is BEST you simply MUST try it! And so we walked into this place expecting hipster stylish burger place (seems to be a trend lately). We couldn't be further from the truth 😂 You will know what I mean when you go to check it out. And check it out you must! The food was delish! Got a dinner burger and chicken pouting and daaaang. It's drool worthy. 6 out of 5 stars. Will be coming back. I know this will become a place I crave. As I was leaving, I made sure the next people overheard me say "Best burgers ever!" But seriously. You should be hitting "directions" in your Google maps by now!

Hipster place and friendly staffs. We tried the Halifax, mushroom brioche and pountine. All are tasty! The price is decent.

Their burgers do not disappoint. There are lots of other burger joints in the city that overcharge for mediocre burgers. This place provides QUALITY and consistent food at completely reasonable prices. I often get the diner burger. The patty is fried in gravy and is mouthwatering. No dry, flavourless burgers here! The spicy pirate fries poutine is delicious too. The mushroom burger elite is also AMMMMAZING, and super filling. Love this place. Make sure to order delivery through their website.
