Small and Cozy with nice music in background. I enjoyed the atmosphere. The food was excellent and the waiter did a good job! I would definitely recommend this place to family and friends. It is a nice little restaurant on Jasper Avenue. Go check it out!
This place is fantastic and exceeded our expectations! Great atmosphere.... although a little cramped. Food was fabulous! Service is superb. We were rushed out for other reservations coming in but we knew going in that we only had 6pm to 8pm ...so that was fair enough. Overall, I would highly recommend.

Went here for a Christmas party but still had a good sampling of their wares. As the name suggests, this is a tapas place. First the food:
Everything from the charcuterie to hot dishes was fresh and delicious. There were cheese only boards as well as mixed fare. Lots of olives, pickled veggies, the usual. What made their boards above average was the freshness and quality/quantity. Presentation was also very pleasing to the eye.
I didn't try too much of the hot offerings but the two that I did have really stood out. The meatballs drizzled in a tomato reduction rocked and the sambucca shrimp were to die for. Definitely recommend.
The alcohol part of the equation was no less satisfying. Although Tapavino doesn't have taps, their selection of canned and bottled beer is impressive with a very good variety of styles. For those who like their wine, a good selection there too. Prices were in line with a typical upper end restaurant but not overly high.
The cocktails though! Jean Francois (forgive me if I got the name wrong) is an absolute master of the fancy mixed drink ("artisanal cocktail"). ALL of his ingredients, with the exception of cola or other fountain drinks, are handmade. All of the garnishes from dried grapefruit or cucumber - handmade. He even makes his own ginger beer and tonic water. I was the recipient of 7 of these original creations, everything from rather sweet to quite savoury. And yes, I took an Uber home afterwards!
If you're interested in a light tapas style meal and drinks after the theater, hockey game, or show I heartily recommend this place. The only downside is that parking is at a premium - not much around. On the other hand, if you decide to get into the cocktails, might not be a bad idea to cab or Uber....

The service at Tapavino is so personable and such a unique experience. The first time we went to Tapavino, the food was absolutely delectable (my favourite being the meatballs). The chef and my father-in-law got to talking about true authentic Spanish foods and next thing we know we are being invited back so the chef can make us paella (an off menu item that would be made especially for us). We went back last night and sure enough the chef made us paella even though he was extremely (the restaurant was completely full). Before the dish was completely finished I was invited back into the kitchen to take some pictures of the finishing touch (smoking the dish for that last bit of flavour). You could truly see the passion the chef has for what he does! We tried the paella and oh my... it was so flavourful and rich. I've never quite had anything like it in my life. My father-in-law has been to Spain many times and he even thinks this was better than what he had there. I'm so happy we had some leftovers because I can't wait to have it again for lunch.

Had a great birthday dinner with family and friends at Tapavino last night. Cocktails were amazing and so fun and the food was incredible. Jean-Francois took great pride in making us all the perfect cocktails according to our likes. Craft beer was also on tap. Absolutely delicious. Atmosphere is cozy. We went on a super cold evening and it was all forgotten when we stepped through the doors. There is a lot of pride taken by the co owners who do everything themselves. Customer service was top notch. Will definitely be returning and highly recommend. 👍🏼👍🏼
Such a wonderful experience. A beautiful little place, perfect for couples or an intimate get together. The stuffed mushrooms were delicious. My server definitely knew the menu of wine and food inside out! Terrific !
Great little hidden spot. I had no idea this place was here until we decided to go one day with some friends. The wine was tasty and the food was quite good for tapas. The only reduction I give is due to the portion sizes not really being consistent. The server didn't really seem to know enough about the dishes and one was quite large and tasty while others were tiny for the exact same price. This could be improved.
