The resort is clean and located on a nice spot overlooking the water. There's a pool and a spa, as well as a restaurant on the premises. The golf course is just a short ride down the street and was challenging and well taken care of. The rooms were in the middle of some upgrades during our visit, so although my opinion of the room wasn't great, I'm sure they will be improving very soon. The restaurant was a buffet for breakfast which was better than average, but the dinner was well above average and we really enjoyed the plating, use of seasonal ingredients, and flavors.

Old site with a lot of charm. We stayed only at the hotel and did not play golf. Rooms are a little small but very comfortable. No fridges in the room but premium nespresso machine is a nice touch. Make sure to mention if you have mobility issues before staying there. Our room was in a wing solely accessible by stairs and at the main entrance stairs are the only way to get luggage in. Staff is mostly helpful ( especially at the restaurant who even offered to bring our drinks outside on the terrace) but Bellboy will just look at you getting your luggage. Restaurant on site is very good and worth trying. Pool is heated and fairly sheltered from the wind.
The Pines is fantastic, great food, service and hospitality. They are still renovating and things may be not be 100%, but the staff and management will do everything to make your stay most comfortable. We find that the all go out of their way to keep things happy and pleasurable. Got questions, ask for answers. It will be an amazing place when Reno's are done and completed. Highly recommended for family stay vaca, meetings, golfing weekends and more.
