Food and service were great, place itself was nice although we ate inside instead of the patio since it was raining. Multiple people recommended coming out to Dartmouth to eat here instead of the Halifax location and I’m not sure it’s worth it. Maybe on a nicer day?

If you're looking for wonderful meal with romantic view and awesome service then this is it. It's one of the best meal I have ever had, they have super nice staff. The menu designed for everyone considering many gluten free and allergies options and great choice drinks with many types of sitting arrangements. Definitely worth a visit, especially in the evening.

This was my first time in this location of The Wooden Monkey and it will not be my last. We had booked a Christmas luncheon for our work team and to meet some strict dietary restrictions and allergies we made a reservation at this location. Tons of space with great views, we didn't feel like we were mixed in with other parties. The food was fantastic and everyone was happy!

The service was amazing. Not sure of our servers name but she wore a cat mask. She was very professional and attentive. She went above and beyond for one of the people in our party. Everyone at our table enjoyed their meals except for me hence why it didn't quite get a 5 star review. Our server did ask how my meal was and I said it was good. But the Braised Beef was way over cooked as it was very tough and chewy. I've had other great meals here in the past but it was just this one meal that didn't hit the mark. Great job overall.

Nice place, great view, excellent service. Food artfully prepared and tasted both piping hot and delicious. The gourmet root beer added a nice touch. Warned it was cooked from scratch (or thereabouts) so was delighted when it arrived in a reasonable time. The cheesecake du jour was the grand finale. Everything was as close to perfect as you can get!

Delicious. Delicious. Delicious. Kelly, our server, was beyond amazing. She was funny, kind and very good at what she does. Our meals were fresh and full of flavor. The chili was hands down the best I've tasted. The deck is right on the waterfront with a beautiful view of the city. Highly recommended 👌
