I actually do not mind montanas... I've read some of these reviews and didn't experience alot of your complaints.
This has the feeling of a country bar meets American diner feel to it... I usually have good food and a decent server.
The pulled pork sandwich is good for a franchise like montanas and the fact they now put all the bbq sauces on the table is a bonus.

My partner wanted ribs and after a few disappointing dinners out for some, we finally went to “Montanan’s to guarantee him his fix. Walking up to the place he complained how hungry he was and how he could smell the scent of the meat he wanted to eat. But it was busy this Saturday night that we would not get to eat any of it anytime soon. We didn’t think of making reservations, so when we came at 7pm we found ourselves having to waiting until 8pm to be seated. Although they were able to take our names and our number to call us when our table was ready.
The BEST steak in town, hands down. The chicken tacos are really good too. It's a bit loud and not really private, but the service is tops and the food is always incredible. They always have cool sampler specials to try new or favorites from the menu, and always have drink specials too. Great family atmosphere and the kids can even color on the tablecloth! I highly recommend this restaurant, and this location in particular, because I've been to others but just not the same quality of food or service.
I only go on all you can eat ribs night.
Their steaks lack flavor/seasoning.
Order an extra round of ribs before you go and ask them to pack it to go. They will, they always do! Hahaha otherwise take a bite out of it and they can't re-serve it to another table anyways.
Great Food and Service. I ate at Montana's recently at the suggestion of some friends. After a lengthy deliberation my friend chose the all you can eat Ribs option, and I had the limited amount of Beef Ribs. We also had the antojitos for an appetizer and they were great. As for my friend we had about 4 plates of the ribs and found them delicious. The waitress stopped by to check on us frequently and she was also exceptionally friendly. The noise levels in the restaurant were at a perfect level for a lively atmosphere which also allowed us to carry on with our conversation. On the whole it was a good experience dining out at Montana's.
Not bad meal. I tried montana's steak with my friend last 2 wks. i love the decoration here. Meanwhile, there's a little girl on her birthday, so all staff came to celebrate it, actually, it was quite noisy. the rib and steak are good, i think. my friend ordered some summer platters, however, they were too much to eat. btw, i love the drink which contains marshmallow.
Trying too hard. Recently, they've tried to go upscale, so now you get a more pretentious menu with more pretentious prices and more pretentious waitresses, with pretty much the exact same decor and food... except for the fact that they no longer have their signature baked beans, probably because they're not pretentious enough.
That being said, the food's still pretty good, even if all you can eat ribs is just the cuts nobody really wants to eat anyway. Oh well. I guess I'm one of those suckers that's going to pay more for the same food... just a lot less often.
Well, I decided to try Montana’s today, because I had a coupon from the Entertainment Book. Montana’s prides themselves on their meat, but ribs are their feature product. The burger was the ‘Classic Sirloin Burger’ – advertised as a juicy, lightly seasoned burger. It was actually not juicy at all, with little flavour – likely a frozen patty, that many restaurants use. The burger itself was kind of okay, but I have had many better. When flavourless pattys like this are used, it really helps to have a good sauce to kick up the flavour – this one didn’t have that kicker. AYCE Back Ribs ($28.99) starts off with the first rack with the flavour sauce of your choice, 2 sides and cornbread. We were surprised to see the ribs were so large and meaty. Each rack has 12 ribs and the meat was moist, plus it had a nice smokey flavour.
