The first time I went was with Sangria as well, probably about 4 years ago now? And then I took the boyfriend once after that too. They are pretty popular for their cheap brunch.
Townhall is located just on the border of Burnaby/Coquitlam/New West, before the IKEA Coquitlam.
Chicken wings fried pickles and $3 beers. Good portions, reasonable prices and unbelievably friendly service. Would definitely come back any time I’ve ikea’d.
UP - Nice selection of beers and a decent sized menu. The strips weren't anything special but they were well done.
DOWN - Kind of a weird spot to get into if you're unfamiliar with the area. That Brunette/Lougheed cross is a mess in the rain.
OUT - Any place that serves Fat Tugs and pinball is my kind of joint. Looking forward to coming back one day!
Awesome $4 breakfast deal on weekends which even tasted good. Busy yet attentive servers. House lager was decent too at $3.50. My only small complaint is that the tables are a bit high which makes it slightly uncomfortable to eat.
Great breakfast deal Saturday & Sunday 10am to 3pm. $4 for 2 eggs, 2 bacon 2 toast & hash browns. Attentive friendly staff. I will be back. Like the sign says "ours is bigger and lasts longer" The breakfast that is.
Just had to come back after trying the sticky toffee pudding last time. Service was just as quick and good as the last time. Hot wings were great as was the beef dip though would have preferred the traditional au jus as opposed to the gravy it came with, though the hot fresh fries were great to dip into it. The bottom line is the sticky toffee pudding was again a great end to our meal. We will definitely be back. Oh and the beer was good too, nicely cool and crisp!
Decent. Some friends and I went here for the first time mid-September for some dinner and drinks. As a previous reviewer mentioned, the interior is amazingly nice. The menu was fairly priced and our food was all pretty good. One complaint was the beef dip doesn't come with au jus but with gravy (who does that?)...otherwise everyone was satisfied with the food. We all started off with the house lager which turned out to be nasty Black Label. The house pale ale though is Granville Island (waaaay better) for the same price so we all switched over pretty quickly. Overall decent place.
I am so happy the old French Quarter has received an update. Came in on a slow Monday afternoon for a quick beer and wings. The server was so friendly, professional, and put my order in ''quick" as she knew I was in a hurry. Tried the Townhall beer, which was pleasant and smooth and appropriately priced. They have a nice looking craft beer menu, which I will definitely be back to sample this weekend. I am also curious about their infamous $4 breakfast. Another example of great service, food and marketing by the Joseph Richards group!
Townhall brings a new pub competition to Coquitlam, replacing the old French Quarter Pub which had decent food but the ambiance was a run down. On my first visit to Townhall on a Sunday afternoon, it was absolutely gorgeous inside compared to the old FQ p
