Who would have thought I would be writing a post about a Korean bbq spot this year? But here’s 2020 and here’s to trying new things again. Hwaro Korean Steak House & Raw Bar is Korean bbq restaurant located at Henderson place across from Coquitlam centre. Hwaro Korean Steak House & Raw Bar is quite spacious on the inside with pretty good ventilation throughout to prevent the inside from becoming too smokey from the bbq grills.
The taste here is absolutely delicious! We ordered two dolsot bibimbaps (one bulgogi, and a vegetarian one). Both came piping hot and can you can taste the authenticity of the sauces and side dishes and that they are definitely homemade.
Although in terms of customer service, our greeting at our arrival wasn't the most friendliest but the person that took our order was the most caring and accomodating. As one of our orders had a vegetarian requirement, our server took the time to explain ans go through which item contained meat in them (even the sauce and side dishes) to ensure the dietary requirement was met.
Nonetheless, Hwaro Korean steak house is a highly recommend for authentic Korean cuisine
Great fun night for big group of 18 hospitality staff. you can bring your wine. Corkage fees IS only $10 per bottle. Pretty good deal. They have BBQ combo menu which includes starter, main and dessert. it is reasonable price and good quality of foods. Also, They have many big tables to fit large group. go and try it.
Best Korean bbq in the tricities, had bbq beef combo one time and bbq lunch combo another time, I am happy with the food and service both times, generous portions and high quality meat, this is my new favorite restaurant.
I went HWARO restaurant with my friend last night.Food was absolutely fantastic!! Good atmosphere!! and Friendly customer service!!
I will definitely visit there again.

What an amazing korean bbq restaurant, great food with lots of attention to detail. Service was excellent as well and portions are generous, very flavourfull and high quality ingredients.
