Where do I begin. This place is definitely my go-to place for Korean-Chinese fusion. There are other decent areas but Bbong is by far my favourite. For the flavour and amount you get, this place is far than fair and delicious. Highly recommended.
(Can get spicy so watch out!)

Went back to Vancouver, my coworker took me to eat Korean food after her work. We went to a Korean Restaurant nearby Lougheed Town Center in Coquitlam. The location of the restaurant is right beside the Korean Super Market – H Mart. The name of the restaurant calls BBong Korean Restaurant.

Before we went to this place, my coworker told me that this place is famous for its Chicken. I was so excited to try its chicken. We arrived the restaurant right after the work around 6:30 pm. The restaurant was not very busy since it was on the weekday – Monday. We could easier get a seat and the server brought us the menu and drinks.

The menu book was awesome. It provided a picture with each order, so customers could easier to order the food. After few minutes discussion, we decided to order its family combo to share, which came with a jajangmyeon, a jjampong, and tansuyuk/kanpoongi) for about $30. It seems like a great deal for us (My friend told me that it will be a great deal for 2 people and we will have lots of food).

After waiting for 10 to 15 mins, our food finally came out from the kitchen. My friend was right. Those amount of food (super large portion) cost us only $30 in total, which was awesome. All the food looked so delicious. The taste of the food was awesome too. I like the spicy seafood noodles’ soup. The soup was not so spicy, but very seafood flavors. My most favourite dish was the chicken. OMG. That was lots of Chickens. The taste of the chicken seemed like the special sweet pork dish from my hometown. Tasty and Yummy. I love it sooooo much.

Since only two of us, we had lots of leftover food in the end. We took all the leftover to go. It was a great experience eating at BBong Korean Restaurant. I would love to come back to this place again and highly recommend to all my friends to go. Delicious Food and Cheaper Prices.

I was really craving Jjampong, so I dragged S all the way out to North Road to satisfy my craving. This was definitely a case of my eyes being bigger than my stomach, because we ordered way too much food for 2 people (considering I don’t eat a whole lot, so really too much food for 1.25 people!)

Had the sweet spicy fried chicken, small portion, it was boneless and very tasty. Kimchi fried rice was good too, it came with a dark gravy. Service was good although the fried rice took a while to arrive. Appetizers were usual standard kimchi, potato, bean curd strips. waitress asked if we wanted more, so I got topped up on potato. Plenty for 2 for lunch and had lots to take home for dinner.

Bbong is the newest restaurant addition to Coquitlam's Hanin Village, and we tried it for the first time, for dinner one evening last week.  The restaurant is located on the H-Mart supermarket side of the Village, at the corner at back.  We arrived at 5:30 pm, were welcomed upon entry, shown to a booth, and provided menus and a large carafe of cold water and glasses.

The restaurant was clean, neat and tidy.  It has a variety of options when it comes to seating arrangements -  open booths on one side, enclosed (walled) booths on the other side (for small and large groups), and tables with chairs in the central area (which can be moved together to provide seating arrangements for smaller-sized groups).  One of the open booths was perfect for us, and provided a nice view of what was happening throughout the restaurant.

Service to our table was friendly and helpful (especially appreciated when it came to pursuing the menu, and making a final decision on 'what', and 'how much' to order).

We (couple) ordered and shared the following:
-  #46 - steamed dumplings (Jjin mandu) -- and #64 - stir-fried seafood and vegetables (Pal bo chae).
-  provided side dishes - potato, tofu & onion 'salad', kimchi.

The dumplings + stir-fry made a fine combination - the dumplings provided a rice/noodle substitute, plus, added a little meat and to the totally seafood and veggie main dish.  It was an appealing, good-looking presentation.  The banchan, though quite simple, added a tasty touch.

The dumplings were good - coverings, thin, moist, and tender, and ingredients within, moist and tasty.  The ingredients of the stir-fry - shrimp (a few large, many small ones), a few mussels (in the half shell, 'the' best I've tasted outside of PEI), many pieces of squid and octopus, sliced mushrooms (large and small varieties), sliced green and red bell peppers, several pieces of small, sweet corn, slices of carrot and onion, and a wonderful, tasty (mildly spiced) sauce - so well-prepared, with everything (all seafoods 'and' veggies) cooked just right.  A major yum!!

We much-enjoyed the food, and total dining experience at Bbong, and were so happy to have chosen it for dinner that evening - a return visit some time soon we hope.

Portions are massive!! The sweet and sour pork was good, it wasn’t too sweet or sour. The spicy fried chicken was really crunchy and didn’t have much tender juicy meat in it. The black bean noodle was ok, it was flavourful but only had a few shrimps and cuttlefish in it. It was hard to call the server because we were in one of the booths and the walls are quite high. This is a great place for value not really quality but I didn’t mind it.

Ordered a pick up today. Food is quite decent. Price is reasonable. Black bean sauce noodle and pork bone soup /rice were quite a treat. So bulgogi was a bit plain all compared but would come back again for a family take out.

Easy and no frills. Went with one other person and we got the combo A. It was gigantic and we had a good portion to takeaway. Good place to come if youre really hungry and dont have a lot to spend!

The service is very quick but they seemed short staffed as no one came to check on our food after it was served. The food always tasted good though with good portions. The price is on the higher end in my opinion but I guess the portions justify. They are also quite good with providing take-out containers for leftovers. I just wish they would come by and check on the customers cause we wanted more radish. With one noodle dish, one rice dish, and a chicken dish to share, we paid $70 including tax and tip.

Love the food here. Nothing flashy, but, great food. Been here a few times now. Everyone always enjoys the food. Service is quick and portions are large. Recommend and have returned a few times now.
