After shopping at Coquitlam Centre Mall SG and i decided to grab some lunch this is my first time trying this it's her 3rd she ordered the Chicken Teriyaki lunch combo with miso soup and salad i ordered the Beef Teriyaki lunch combo both meals were absolutely delicious i also ordered the Veggie Tampura it turned out to be way too much food. I would highly recommend this location the service was very friendly and efficient 5 stars all day long
The food is pretty good, prices are average and the service can be hit and miss.
My wife particularly enjoys the Evergreen rolls which are very filling and taste great.
I enjoy the Gyozas, as they aren't exactly like most restaurants where you get a really weak display of pork or meat product inside it.
The UME Plum Sake was very good.

When Sushi Oyama first opened, I often got take out and dined here. However, overtime, they've increased their prices and the quality just isn't as good anymore.
The restaurant is well decorated and the environment is very comfortable. We didn't have to wait for a table, as the restaurant is pretty big and there are a lot of tables. We ordered plenty to share including toro sashimi, tempura udon, salmon sashimi, oysters, uni, and many more. Everything tasted pretty good. The service was great too, as they came back often to refill our tea and ask if we needed anything.
Great environment, great service, and pretty good food. Definitely would come back if I ever feel like eating sushi. However, I still prefer Sushi Town and Sushi California over Oyama!
This place falls into the "I've had better but I've also had worse" category. If you are really craving raw fish, this place will serve you sushi as you've come to expect it. They just really aren't that big on originality. In fact, you could easily assume that you were eating somehere else like Sushi Garden or Sushi and Roll if you didn't look up once in a while to confirm your surroundings. Good place to take people from out of town who don't know what to expect from a good sushi place.

I like their special rolls, my fav are Sound Trap Roll and Red dragon rolls. I like the new addition of aburi sushi on their menu as well. This is my favorite sushi place in the neighborhood. They offer free miso for pick up orders >$15. The only dish I didn't really like was the seafood yakiudon.
Lots of options and specials! The sushi is very good and very fresh. The service isn't the best. We waited a long time for our bill. Prices are fair. It's not very private the way it's set up, but certainly aesthetically pleasing.
Service was definitely mediocre, it took awhile for our order to be taken, and they forgot my miso... but the sushi was fresh, the rice was sticky and the hot sauce was great.

Surprisingly, my Chicken Teriyaki arrived first, and it was decent. The light sprinkle of sesame seeds added depth to the flavours, and the chicken was sufficiently tender. There was also a distinguishing sweetness, as if the chicken was coated with a thin layer of honey. The stir-fried bean sprouts were savoury, and they were served in a very generous portion.
One of the better sushi restaurants in Coquitlam. Big menu with lots of choices. Good portion. Great service. Recently updated their menu and added a few items. The restaurant is big, good for group dinner.
Really good sushi, large restaurant with quick friendly service. Huge portions at a very fair price.
Never dissapointed here, parking is sometimes a chore when it's dinner time but you can park on the street if the parking strip is full. Tables even have a button to call for service which is probably the only restaurant outside of Vancouver with this feature
