Hands down my favorite coffee shop in the lower mainland. The coffee is fantastic, they have an amazing selection of fresh roasted beans, and the owners are very lovely people. Highly recommended!
Fantastic. The staff are super chill and very friendly. Food is good. Prices are fair. Coffee is very tasty. It's the only place I buy beans and there are closer places. Connected minds is the place to go
Sunday morning at Connected Minds Café & Roastery, we think we’ve dropped by someone’s home. And surprised them in the middle of their housework. That’s because mid-sip of our coffee, we’re interrupted by the loud roar of a vacuum.
Glance sideways, owner Lynn Hearn has hauled out a shop vac. With quick movements and efficient maneuvering, she directs the suction at some stray coffee grounds around their in-house roaster. Minutes later, she’s done and we hear the wheels on the vacuum roll away.
It has been 20 years since I've had coffee this good. See the trick is, the bean is best when roasted fresh! Lynn is a impeccably, talented, Roast Master! Please do your taste buds a solid and go buy some beans from this place. If you are lucky enough, you will stop by on a day she is roasting and you will smell something truly decadent. Fresh roasted coffee.
This coffee shop has limited seating but the place is set up quite nicely with bright coloured chairs and funky tables, which I may add could make a pretty awesome background for those who love to take photos of their food. I ordered a latte, banana bread & laddu (Indian sweet). The latte was good, the banana bread tasted good but was quite dry and crumbled easily and the laddu was yummy! It was a unique find in a cafe so I just had to try it. Personally though, I kind of wish they put my laddu on a plate so it’s a bit more presentable. But I also understand that it’s easier to eat it with a napkin.
With tongue not so firmly planted in cheek, I like to jest that I am powered by caffeine and Wi-Fi.
It’s partly true, really, because my day just doesn’t feel right if it doesn’t involve a cup of coffee and I really do make my living on the Internet. All kidding aside, a great cup of coffee is one of life’s greatest pleasures. Metro Vancouver has a very strong coffee culture and, as much as some people might like their Starbucks, many gravitate to smaller, more local shops. A lesser known example of this is Connected Minds, located out on Clarke Road in Coquitlam.
Various coffee bean with different degree of roasting. They also roast coffee bean by custom order. Online order available. Good coffee
Nice and cozy coffee shop. Service was fast and the staff were nice. The sign outside was big and easy to find. I had the caramel ginger spice latte. It was good but it was hard to taste the ginger. I also found it a bit too sweet for my liking.
We got the dark and medium drip coffee. So full of flavour at a great price. Cozy place with nice owners and comfy seats.
You can even have the chairs and table brought outside if you want to enjoy the fresh air.
5/5
Fresh beans! Very neat little place tucked away in a strip mall in Burquitlam across from sky train. The owner Lynn was so friendly and personable. Beans can easily be customized and personalized to your liking. She offered an air pressed coffee for me to try and it’s a different experience! Once you’ve tried you might not want to go back to your regular day to day coffee shops!
Quite possibly the best small batch roaster in British Columbia. Grade A beans sourced ethically and roasted in a commercial Air Roaster machine delivering even roasts with good acidity. Put in your custom order now! I just had a medium Papua New Guinea which was so milk chocolatey as an espresso I was blown away.
They bring me coffee. They do it fast, and it is really good coffee. Always! I owe them my life.
The coffee here is divine and is roasted in very small batches in-house. Owner is lovely. Nice selection of baked goods as well!
