Convenient, fast and cheap. Kimbap Cheonguk is an authentic Korean snack shop with the best kimbaps (rice rolls). Very affordable prices and their ddotbokki is sweet, spicy and very chewy!

Was in the Coquitlam area with some free time. Decided to take a walk and soak in the sights. Looked up this place on the Zomato app and decided to give it a go. The food was awesome and the service was great. You cannot beat the price. I was stuffed for 15 bucks cdn. I would most definitely return in the future.
This place gets busy quite fast, so be prepared to wait if you go during peak eating hours! As others have mentioned the kimbab is excellent, you cannot go wrong with any of the rolls, but our favourite is the tuna. Also the naeng myeon, which is cold noodles in soup, is really refreshing especially in the summer! Prices are more than fair. We would recommend and we have returned several times already!
Kimbab Cheonguk 김밥천국 is a hidden gem located on North Road in Coquitlam. It is a pretty small restaurant, but it has very authentic Korean food.
We usually order their famous kimbab (Korean rice rolls). Kim means seaweed in Korean and bab means rice. Therefore, rice wrapped around seaweed with other recipes is simply a kimbab. We would say they serve the best kimbab in town. We always get extra order to go after. We highly recommend their Tuna Kim Bab and Beef Kim Bab.
They serve free soup in a kettle (instead of tea). Tasty!
Highly recommend coming here for cheap and delicious Korean food.

We came here around 6:30 pm on a Saturday, and the place was quite full already. Ordered 2 kimbap and the Hot Stone Rice Pork. The rice pork was quite flavorful, full of ingredients, though a little oily. The pork was quite tender, though. The kimbap was really cheap and tasty as well.
We've been frequenting Kimbab Cheongguk for years. When you're craving something filling for cheap but don't want to sacrifice quality, this is absolutely the place you want to come. Our favourites are the kongnamulgukbap 콩나물국밥 (bean sprout soup with rice), chamchi kimbap 참치김밥 (tuna kimbap), bulgogi kimbap 불고기김밥 (marinated beef kimbap), and matsal kimbap 맛살김밥 (crab kimbap). In the hot summer months, both the mulnaengmyeon 물냉면 (cold noodles in icy soup) and bibimnaengmyeon 비빔냉면 (cold noodles with spicy sauce) won't disappoint!
Best kimbap that you can get and the price are reasonably good too (they only accept debit or cash)! Tuna kimbap is a must! Grab it to go and eat it on a picnic :) If you dine in they serve you broth in a teapot, so don't mistake it for tea like I did lol.
I ordered tapokki spicy and beef inside the tuna kimbab, it was really good. Their tapokki is soft, unlike the others tapokki. The only minus things are quite dirty and small place, sometimes people have to wait, and they dont accept credit card
This is my favourite place in all of North America to get kimbap. Whenever I need some comfort food, I will come here. It’s definitely a hole in the wall but the food they put out is amazing. On one of the snowiest days of the year, M and I ventured all the way out just because I was craving this.
One of those places you'd go when you just want a bit of everything. Love how they give a pot of soup, it's like what we would get in Korea. Roof are snack like simple but yummy.
