Dough is awesome, but you need to order extra cheese!. First of all, their dough is soft, a little chewy, but tasty. The fact that their dough is made fresh, and never frozen, is the highlight of their pizza. Be forewarned though, they measure out their ingredients. That normally is a good idea, except when it comes to cheese. Their pizza has barely enough cheese, and if you're a cheese lover like I am, don't waste your time ordering a pizza unless you pay for "extra cheese". Believe me, you'll need it. The ingredients are fresh, and overall it is a good pizza. I did notice that some of their green peppers & onions have a crunch to them, so if that kinda thing bothers you, then order it "well done" so that doesn't happen. Some people may like a slight al dente crunch with their green peppers, I don't. They also toute their garlic sauce dipper. To me, it tastes like buttery garlic that belongs on popcorn, not pizza. To be honest, the next time I'm watching a movie, I'll go there and buy 3 or 4 of those buttery garlic dips and pour them over my popcorn. It is yummy, it just doesn't belong with the pizza. If you are use to Pizza Hut's pre-measured ingredients, then you'll know what Papa John's offers with one exception. Their pizza dough is to die for. It really is the best part. I just wish they added more cheese with their standard pie. Especially since their regular prices aren't that cheap.

So if you want to have a good Papa John's experience, order extra cheese, or double cheese, and you'll be happy. If you don't, you'll find yourself wondering why there isn't more cheese on your pizza. I had an incident the first 2 weeks they were open, and the franchise owner corrected it and was sincere about it. If you run into a serious problem, ask for Jimmy. He's a decent person who really wants to deliver the best quality to his customer. I will definitely re-visit Papa John's again, and this time, the nominal cost of extra cheese will definitely be worth it. I can't wait to try their breadsticks and cheesesticks. Believe me, their dough is really that tasty!
