An excellent fine dining restaurant with amazing food, service, and an intimate location. Everything we ate was superb, and we could find no real faults with any of the food we ordered. At this price point, this is my favorite restaurant in the area.

- Beautiful garden in the back of the restaurant with seating
- Intimate lighting
- Clean and modern finish with nice art choices on the walls
Service:
- Excellent waiters that were fluent in both French and English
- It took a fair bit of time to get the drinks and appetizers, but this may be due to the restaurant being full when we placed the order
- The pacing of the meal was good after the drinks and appetizers arrived
- The staff was able to write 'Happy Birthday' on the dessert when asked
Had a delicious meal. It's a lovely, vibrant space..staff was great and all the dishes we had were excellent. The duck and trout were cooked to perfection. Loved the salmon gravalax!
Amazing food. But also the restaurant is beautiful. Take a walk in the garden in the back, there are nice swings and beautiful flowers.
Highly recommended
This was my first time dining in since the start of Covid and I have to say...it was a perfect experience. The staff were wonderful! The atmosphere was welcoming and all Covid rules were followed without making it feel invasive. As for the food. I had a salad to start which consisted of a variety of leafy greens. Pork belly pieces fried to perfection. A light and creamy goat cheese and a salad dressing which tied it all together perfectly. Next I had a pan fried cod with beans and red sweet pepper which was grilled and tossed with an oil and vinegar sauce that was the perfect accompaniment. Lastly....dessert. A slice of heaven. A baked cream with rhubarb pieces on top. The base was a crumb base. Not too sweet but just right with the cream filling and nicely balancing out the rhubarb on top. Hats off to the entire staff. They worked seamlessly together and made the experience feel like a ray of sunshine after a long time in the dark. Thank you all.
In spite of the power outage in the entire area yesterday, the restaurant was able to carry on with the use of a backup generator. The only items not available were coffee, pizza and AC!
It was an utterly delightful experience start to finish...the food flavours and presentation gorgeous, using fresh flowers and herbs from the onsite garden. The wines our server (Mark) suggested to accompany our dinner were spot on. And the service was quietly, unobtrusively, attentive; after some spillage of cocktails at the start which we thought (hoped) went unnoticed, our table was quickly mopped up and even dishes and cutlery replaced.
THANK YOU to the chefs and entire staff of Les Fougeres for an unforgettable experience!!!
We tried the store take home menu and were amazed by the quality, and the quantity was good too for my husband.
We had the mushroom soup, chili con carne and a chocolate truffle cake. The soup was nice and mushroomy. The chili con carne was flavourful and warm, loved the balance of meat to beans and vegetables. And finally the chocolate cake was divine. It was like a fudge in the middle. Amazing textures.
So we will repeat this again next weekend!
Very nice patio with garden view (especially in spring/summer months). Food was high quality and delicious. Great service too :)
Consistent food quality. The bread and the butter and olive oil go with it are killing, I usually will control my consumption in the bread so I have space to taste other food, but the bread is just too good to skip. Really enjoy the soup, the freshness of the salad, a lot of thoughts and fine works in the main. We had duck and steak, both are so delicious. Very attractive price for set menu, including soup, salad, main, dessert and coffee or tea. Bravo to the chef and the team. Although it's open kitchen, you will not leave the restaurant with strong smell of cooking.
