Not to be missed when you are in Charlottetown! The food is delicious and original in taste and presentation. The staff are friendly and the service impeccable. Special thanks to Brady and Emily who made our night so memorable.

Had a wonderful experience here for brunch. The food was exceptional. Our server was very attentive and pleasant. They allowed us to sit with our dogs on the patio and enjoy a great meal. The pork belly eggs benedict was amazing, and the brickhouse breakfast was delicious with great portion size. Would highly recommend, and we will be returning to this place while in Charlottetown.

An elegant atmosphere, the epitome of fine dining experience. A great blend of modern mixed with old. The demographic reaches from the millennial to the experienced, all aspects of the menu delights even the most pickiest of eaters. Started with the beef carpaccio, tuna tartar and the mussels, not one meal disappointed our hungry pallet. Finished the meal with a scallop pasta to die for. It had fresh elements with the water crest that brightened the dish and the peas made it earthy. Hands down an experience for the ages. Reservations are highly suggested, we were lucky enough to find a place at the bar where we had a very pleasant conversation with the friendliest bartender. Kudos to the staff and the cooks for a one of a kind experience!!

YUM. The service was incredible and the staff was very friendly. We had coconut curry mussels which were sooo fresh and tasty, lobster wontons which were incredible, and the chipotle honey chicken tostada (my favourite) was very unique and had a ton of flavour. My husband got the truffle parm fries and wasn’t the biggest fan (he said they tasted like they’d been sitting out for a while), however, the beer made up for it. The cocktails were very unique and very delicious. The chilli + peach was to die for. Can’t wait to come back!

I am not sure how.or why this place would get a bad review because this was not our experience. Beautiful decor. .The Service was top notch with all the servers wishing my wife a happy bday , wonderful desert tray sent to our table. I had the Pork Belly and Scallops(cooked to perfection) with the lobster wontons as an app...it was all.off the charts.Im hooked!

First off, the restaurant is beautiful. Next I want to mention that though it is beautiful and the decor says upscale, we went for dinner with two young children and we were surprised at how family-friendly this establishment is. The kids ate every single bite. I had quite possibly the best calamari I've ever tasted. We raved about this meal all night.

A little bit pricy, but food is nice and servers are friendly. Tuna tartare and steak frites, mocktail, and desserts are very good.

Their patio has a really nice warm ambiance. The food arrived super quickly and was great. On top of that the chef insisted on topping my dogs steak treat with pea shoots after researching that they were dog safe 😂

The waiter was very awkward & almost rushing us to finish our dishes, i found small lobster shell pieces on my short surf & the “steak” tasted like a dry version of brisket over all very disappointing because the aesthetic of the restaurant is beautiful. Don’t judge a book by its cover I guess.

The food we had was the best we have had in a long time. Went during brunch and I had the lobster mac and cheese and my wife had the crab cakes. We would recommend both dishes to anyone. We also brought our two small children and the staff was very welcoming to them.

Nice restaurant. We liked the atmosphere and food. Our waitress was nice and helpfully with us. The only none positive thing was when I booked I reported on the booking is for our wedding anniversary. Nothing from staff...or a little surprise. But we liked each dish that we ate.

1st visit ever last night. Warm atmosphere. Friendly staff. Highly recommend the Brickhouse Burger and the buttermilk chicken club sandwich. Did I happen to mention that they have Sir John A Honey Wheat Ale on tap? Is there anything not to love?

Great atmosphere, warm, friendly staff, excellent food and service. Ordered Winterdine menu. Steak could've been served a bit hotter, and they had run out of the advertised dessert (??) but otherwise top-notch!

My family went to the Brick House last night and it was fabulous in every way. The service was perfect, the atmosphere was warm and inviting and the food was excellent. 5 out of the 6 of us had the Burger Love, which was the winner of last year's event and it was still the best burger around! I had the roast chicken with garlic mashed potatoes, carrots and squash and the chicken was melt in your melt:) This is my go-to restaurant of all time....you won't be disappointed!

Always fantastic food and excellent service! I always recommend this place to anyone looking for good eats in Charlottetown.

Place was packed, everyone was happy, and despite being ran off their feet, every staff member was smiling and attentive. On top of that, I had the "Brickinator" burger, their submission for the 2016 PEI Burger Love campaign, and it was easily the best cheeseburger I've ever eaten. Shouts to the staff of one of my favourite restaurants in Charlottetown.

Went there Saturday night, food was excellent and our waitress was timely with taking our orders. I'll be back again.

Food is great - service is hit and miss. Went for lunch and the waitress flaked off to chat with someone after bringing the food and didn't get back to see if things were okay until I would have been done... except I had stopped ten minutes before because I needed a drink. Ironic thing is - they ran off to talk marketing and publicity! Actions speak louder than words, guys!

Great atmosphere. Through the menu is lacking on the gluten free side they were very accommodating and ensured my meal was safe. All of our food was delicious!

Best bacon I've ever had 🥓 Good brunch menu, huge servings.

I took my family there last night as we have always loved the brickhouse. After an hour (no exaggeration) our waitress informed us the kitchen was swamped and it would be another forty minutes. If it was just my wife and I, we might have waited. But we had two kids with us and it was 8:30 at night. We cancelled our meal, paid our tab and went to MacDonald's. inexcusable! Lost a customer.

Had the crab cakes. They were delish! We had one severe allergy to mustard and the server was wonderful at making sure they were taken care of :)

Went on Saturday night for our anniversary. We went earlier in the spring and loved it so we wanted to go back for our anniversary. We were very disappointed this time. Service was great but the food wasn't so much... won't be going back again. Too bad as we loved the first visit ....

Visited Brickhouse twice while visiting between May 4th and 8th. Loved everything I tasted. Really impressed with how fresh and well done all of the dishes were. Favourites: the Mac and cheese, gnocchi, buttermilk chicken club, and the brickinator. All delicious.
Mac and cheese is creamy and flavourful, with perfectly al dente pasta. Gnocchi is pillowy, not too dense. Brickinator is kinda massive. You need an appetite to tackle this burger. Chicken club is crispy and beautifully seasoned. Chicken is tender, sauce a little spicy. Only negative for me was that I but into my club and got a fragment of chicken bone stuck in my tooth. The sandwich is supposed to be boneless. The fragment was a bit sharp and could have caused serious injury. My disappointment stemmed from the customer service response. Our server was wonderful although not helpful in this situation and management didn’t check in to see if I was ok. As expected, my dish was comped and I was offered another dish but some recognition of how dangerous this incident was would have made me feel a lot better about returning on my next trip to the city. No one in our party was able to finish their dish when this happened.

I walked by this place on my very first exploration of downtown Charlottetown and the menu posted outside caught my eye. In particular, I wanted to try their ‘Clam Po’ Boy’ and so I made a point of returning the next day for lunch…. I arrived a little after 11 in the morning but the place was already filling up for the lunchtime rush. It was quite apparent that things were not moving too quickly and I heard the waiter apologize for the delay to a nearby table, explaining that he was a ‘one man show’ that day.

Very good. We where at the brickhouse on august 13th 2014.
The place is very very good. Service excellent, food excellent.
Relax environment. Tenderloin cooked exactly as asked. Chicken cajun sandwich very good but they should change the bun. It's too hard and it squashes and leaks.
The chocolate dessert is decadent.

4.5 / 5

charlycotton

Since the relaunch, this place is amazing. Balanced the dishes just right. Subtle changes to popular dishes give it an edge of distinction. Had 3 dishes, all fresh, delicious and reasonably priced.

Ate here on a Tuesday night looking for fish for me and something different for the missus. Initially told there was a 30 minute wait so we were sent upstairs to the related bar, only to be told there was a cancellation so we could be seated. The whole restaurant emptied out within 15 minutes so it was a bit weird. Crab cakes were bland and soggy. I only ate 3/4 of one and sent it back but got charged for it anyway. Bouillabaisse was okay, fish wasn't really recognizable and the mussels a bit chewy but the broth was good. My girlfriend had spring rolls and green curry which was fine and the kitchen had no issues spicing it up on request.

We ate here during their lobster fest promo and were not impressed! The lobster crab cakes were too chewy and the lobster in the chowder was tough as well. We were told, 30 minutes after we ordered, that one of our entrees (on the lobster fest featured menu) was not available. Waited for 45 minutes for our appetizers to arrive and over 90 minutes for our entrees, and it was not even a half filled house on a Sunday night! On the plus side, at least our wait and the feedback we gave our waitress were acknowledged by discounting an appetizer and giving us a $25 gift card. Also, the scallop & lobster linguini, the salmon entree and the pulled pork flatbread tasted very good.

Came here for lunch AND dinner on the same day... fantastic!!

I ordered the three pigs burger not knowing what to expect, but the result was an extremely tender, juicy pork burger, with bacon inside. With homemade fries the creation was very tasty. The brick and old wood interior of the restaurant fits the rustic home cooked food it served

The highlight of our meal–and arguably the best restaurant food of the weekend–was the 3 Pigs Burger ($15 and pictured at the top of post) of pulled pork, flecked with bacon and held together in a ground pork patty. It’s twin shining accomplishments are managing to distill the essential taste of pork and to use bacon as an ingredient without letting its flavour dominate.
